Chapter Text
The trio turn to look at Brandon, sitting there in confusion by what they were talking about. With awkwardness, Travis cleared his throat and got up. “Come on, bud. Let us show you where our dorms are, we have company there but they won’t hurt you one bit.”
As the group walked to their dorms, Dave noticed a beautiful yet gothic woman walking towards them. He smiled softly and waved at her, noticing that she was walking with a man wearing a red tank top with a short stump of blond hair on his head. “Oh? Maria, where did you go with Ivan?” He asked.
“Oh, Ghost and I just came back from a walk,” She smiled happily, noticing the unique brunet that they have with them. “Who is this new kid you guys have?”
“This is Brandon Boyd, we just befriended him because we feel he belongs here because you know..those guys love to be idiots.” Randy rolled his eyes.
“Oh, well..it’s a pleasure meeting with you, Boyd.”
“Hey, you’re the guy I heard that..uhm, had a Fling with Trent,” Ivan mentioned. “Is that too personal?”
“Ivan. Don’t.” Travis put his hand on the man’s shoulder and gripped it.
“What? Oh, is it false?”
“Brandon, you don’t have to admit it or even speak of it, if you don’t want to, okay?”
“Who told you that, Ivan?” Brandon asked.
“Trent was repeating it and told everyone that he has Herpes, which I doubt he has it but everyone says that he may have claimed Syphilis.” Ivan sweated, he stumbles on his words a bit until he noticed that Travis was squeezing his shoulder tighter.
“That’s a lie, he has said some horrible things to everyone by mentioning people like us and other schools, he’s the reason we have a bad reputation because everyone believes him,” Dave sighed, trying his best to calm The brunet’s nerves. “Don’t listen to him, Brandon.”
“I..uhm..N-Nevermind!” The brunet walked off to Dave’s dorm room and slammed the door.
Ivan shook his head and sighed, rubbing the nape of his neck as he felt horrible for bringing the man’s name up in a terrible manner in such a situation horrible for someone like him. The dark brunet as well as Randy glared at him, disappointed and angry at the man. “Ivan, you should’ve kept your mouth shut tight.”
“Don’t do it, Travis.” Dave warned.
“Look man..It’s my fault entirely for bringing it up and I feel guilty and I’m sorry—!” Ivan was shut down as Randy grabbed him by his clothes and slammed him against the wall.
“**You think I don’t fucking know that?!**” Randy scowled.
“Oh my god—Randy!” The brunet stopped him, making him glared at his direction. “You let him go, right now, he didn’t do it, he heard what that idiot told everybody.”
The dark brunet shoved the blond aside and hastily ran off to the dorm where the brunet was sitting to calm down. Dave sighed and apologized to both Maria and Ivan as he turned and saw Travis shaking his head. “That guys has fucking anger issues! He needs to get help!”
Travis glared at the blond and scoffed. “Try being in his shoes when he was blamed for being a fucking psycho that one time, then you’ll understand!”
“Come on, Ivan. Let’s get going, you’re gonna make it worse.” Maria sighed, feeling guilty for letting this happen. She walked off with him by her side as the others made it to the dorm room.
Brandon sighed as he tapped his fingers together as he turned his head and noticed the dark brunet squeezing a small stress toy, its eyes popped out by the tight grip. The brunet noticed how clenched his jaw was by his teeth gritted like he was going to yell out randomly. “Randy?” He whispered. “Are you okay?”
“I’m not fucking Happy Brandon! God damn, just—!” Randy yelled but the brunet sat down next to him, gently putting his hand on his thigh.
“It’s not your fault, okay? I’m happily okay with you defending me and that makes you a good friend.”
“You don’t get it, Boy. I act, talk, and shut down people like this because of my—Damnit,” Randy shook his head. “I was not a good role model to anyone but I just, My dad didn’t want me to be like who I am today but I didn’t care about that shit, who cares, he and I don’t talk much. So, I get to be like him, good intentions yet I stand my ground.”
“I’m sorry to hear that, did your parents..uhm..”
“Divorced? Yeah, they did. But who gives a fuck? I’m able to be myself without having any problems other than those fuckers around me.”
“Randy…”
“Brandon, don’t act like that. You know how I am, right?”
“No,” The brunet sighed, putting his hand over the man’s with a soft sad smile. “I don’t know how you are.”
“Really now? Are you saying that out of sympathy or you don’t actually know me?”
“Out of Sympathy, actually. It’s okay to feel that but please get help..okay?” The brunet softly smiled. “Let me help you.”
Randy smirked as his lips let out a scoff, he pulled him into his grip and hold onto him. “You know, you’re better than my old friends..They can’t even say anything smart for me anymore, you know..how about you and I get together some time?”
“Why not..after school?” Brandon suggested.
“Oh? Ditching dorm room checks for a little while, I haven’t heard that one.”
“Wait, no one says that?”
“I was being sarcastic, Fluffhead.”
“Oh, well,” Brandon broke out into laughter as he gently squeezed the dark brunet’s hand. “You need to be good at Sarcasm!”
“I am good at it, actually, Fluffhead.”
“I know, I was being “sarcastic”.”
“Now, you need to practice your own sarcasm. That doesn’t count, that one was a failed attempt.”
The brunet rolled his eyes as he continued laughing, in which, Randy joined in as he pulled the man in bed and had him close to his side as they laughed at their own jokes. Dave and Travis walked in to check on them, witnessing them having fun, Dave smiled as he sighed and glanced at the man.
“You think these two are gonna be friends or more than friends?” Travis asked.
“Eh..Friends for the most part, Randy, I fear he’ll be too much for Brandon to control.” The brunet sighed.
“Dave, don’t even worry about that. I know Randy will give that boy the world and make sure he’ll be happy with him and have no Trent in sight.”
“Yeah..I hope so too.”
