"Dumbledore!!!!" an enraged Eamonn Prince stormed through the halls of Hogwarts, set on a mission. He'd just finished checking in on his grandson in St. Mungos -who was thankfully alive and would hopefully be on the mend soon- and leaving him in the care of his mother, he stormed to the Headmaster's office.
"Elloid, what's the password?" he asked impatiently, turning to his nephew who had followed him.
"Sugar Quills," Loid said to the gargoyle as a way of reply. The gargoyle moved, opening the way to the stairs leading to the office. Moments later, Eamonn was finally able to confront the idiot that called himself Headmaster.
"Albus Dumbledore, I demand the immediate expulsion of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin and your resignation alongside that of Minerva McGonagall!" the fuming Lord Prince exclaimed.
"Now, Milord, I'm sure we can come to an agreement. You're too over-excited at the moment…" Dumbledore replied with the irritating twinkle in his eyes.
"Over-excited? Your stupid Gryffindors, one of which is your pet werewolf, almost killed my grandson just because they thought it would be great fun. Because of you we owe a life debt to the Potters, since apparently he's the only one of those boys with any modicum of sense in him. You've allowed your Gryffindors to run amok and do as they please for too long and now we see the consequences. You didn't even give the idiotic boy some Wolfsbane. As such, I demand that they be expelled and that you and McGonagall, who willingly risked the lives of thousands of students just to have one boy study here, both quit immediately. You think I'm kidding? Because let me assure you, I am not. I will be calling an emergency meeting with the Board of Governors and I assure you, we will proceed with this!" Eamonn ranted, enraged beyond reason.
"Uncle, please calm down before you hurt yourself," Loid said, helping his uncle into a seat, the older man reluctantly allowed him to. Once he was seated, Loid turned, eyes ablazing, to face down Dumbledore.
"Albus Dumbledore, you have not only put at risk the life of my daughter and cousin by allowing this, you've risked the life of every student and professor here, including myself and my wife. You've lied and manipulated one time too many and your comeuppance is upon you now. I will speak with the professors and the students and they will be informed of the risk to their lives you and McGonagall, who I've been told helped with your scheme, have put the rest of us in. I agree that every child deserves an education, but to risk thousands of lives for one child is foolish. To not inform the professors so they may be properly prepared for an emergency is idiotic and to not even have proper measures of controlling the wolf but instead let him run around with his friends in animagi form is the pinnacle of imbecility. You, sir, are no professor. You're a chess master playing a game and you believe we are all your little pawns. Well no more," Loid hissed, his voice low, his body moving with the grace of a tiger ready to strike.
Dumbledore stared at him, analysing the situation. He had always known that the Princes possessed an incredible magical strength, in fact, he'd tried to recruit Eloise, Eileen, and Elloid all to his cause, but even with their muggle sympathies, they had never fallen for his traps. He knew now that any hope to try and recruit Anastasia or Severus would never succeed. The two had plenty of potential but they also would despise him after this, and even if they didn't, their parents and grandfather would never allow it. He had lost more potential soldiers yet again. He sighed, he was regretting more and more the decision to add a werewolf to his army. He was still only a boy and had cost him too much already.
"I'm certain something else can be done. Do you really want to expose a young man to the censure of the wizarding world? Ensure he can never get a job anywhere? If they know he's a werewolf, he will never be able to live amongst our society in peace. And you both know that Wolfsbane is still very experimental," Dumbledore argued, trying to get to their sense of justice. He knew that despite everything, the Princes would hate to see a child suffer.
"I do not care, Dumbledore. If need be, I will get my own potioneers to work more on the potion and ensure the child's employment myself as it is clear the true fault relies on the thoughtless adults and his even more thoughtless friend. But your lies and manipulations will go no further," Eamonn replied, enraged. His fury made him jump up and walk to Dumbledore's desk, cane moving alongside as fast as his old body allowed.
"I'm afraid I cannot allow that," Dumbledore replied calmly.
"Allow?! What makes you think you have any say on the matter whatsoever?! I do not care what you will or will not allow. I am the Master of House Prince and my grandson and second heir was attacked by two of your recruits. Oh, don't play the fool. I'm very aware of the fact that you love recruiting vulnerable, naive children as soldiers. If there is anyone we should worry about in this nonexistent war you've created in your mind, it's you!" Eammon hissed as he leaned on top of the desk, forcing Dumbledore to recoil and lean against the back of his chair.
"He is entirely correct, Dumbledore. The Board of Governors has already been told about the matter and are gathering up as we speak," Henderson said, stepping into the office in the nick of time, "As your Deputy, I am utterly disappointed. You never informed me of the matter just so you could do as you please for you knew I would never allow such a dangerous thing. Well, you will not be allowed to keep endangering the children any longer now."
"What is your fucking problem Sirius?! Do you have any idea of what you almost did?! You almost made your best friend kill Snape. Not only would you have helped kill someone, you would have made Remus a fucking murderer! How do you think Remus will feel about this whole thing when he finds out tomorrow?!" James ranted at his best friend. He may love him as a brother but there was a line and it had been crossed.
"Jamie, please," Sirius whimpered. He had never been good at thinking ahead of time, much less when it came to Snape.
"No, Sirius, you've crossed the line that should have never been crossed," James said, walking away to enter their common room. As soon as he stepped in, Lily Evans slapped him.
"How fucking dare you?! Severus could have been killed! What kinda asshole boyfriend allows his best friends to kill his girlfriend's best friend?! You promised you had changed but it's the same as last year all over again only a million times worse now!!!" Lily exclaimed, enraged. Mary and Marlene stood behind her, in awe and fear of her rage. Neither cared particularly for Severus Prince -he'd dropped the Snape recently as he wanted nothing to do with his deadbeat father- but they had gotten to know him through the years. And other than the horrible incident the year prior, also incited by the Marauders as they called themselves and for which he had made amends with everyone, he had been pretty decent with them. Either way, nobody deserved to die like that.
"Lils, I'm so sorry. I swear I didn't know what Sirius had planned. But then Peter let it slip and I rushed as fast as I could to save him," James begged, tears in his eyes. He would never forgive his best and oldest friend, his almost brother, if Lily hated him forever as a result of this.
"Humph," Lily huffed, clearly not completely convinced. But years of training under the Forgers had made her a fair Legilimens and she knew he wasn't lying either.
"You need to get better friends," she added, moving away towards her dorm room. Mary and Marlene followed her. She had begged to be allowed to see Severus but his condition was too critical so she planned on hollowing out in her room until she had any other news.
"¡Los mato! ¡Es que les juro que los voy a matar a los cuatro!" Aurora Sinistra exclaimed, pacing the Ravenclaw common rooms ready to murder the Marauders. Pandora and Becky watched her quietly but both mentally agreed.
"If he dies, I-!" Rory exclaimed then collapsed on the floor, making the older girls rush to her side.
"Rory?" Becky questioned with a frown. She'd never seen the headstrong girl like this.
"I can't lose him, Becky. He's un idiota y un bobo and annoys me daily but he's my best friend," she whispered, hugging the older girl.
Pandora passed a soothing hand through her hair, "It'll all be okay, you'll see."
Rory leaned against them, tears falling down her face, "We have a date on Saturday, you know? He finally asked me out on a proper datr for the next Hogsmeade weekend and now-"
The older girls squeezed her tight as she cried her worries out.
"Black! If your idiotic brother managed to get Severus killed, I swear I…" Damian began launching at Regulus only to be held back by Emile and Ewen as Emma stepped in the middle to stop the surefire murder from happening.
"I can assure you that Sirius has already been kicked out of the family. I didn't want this anymore than you did," Regulus replied with a frown. Severus was his closest guy friend and the fact that his idiotic brother thought it would be funny to kill him hurt deeply.
"I promise I will do anything I can for him to be properly punished," he added, with fierce eyes.
"Yeah, you better," Emma hissed in between them. She may not be Severus' fan, but enough was enough.
"Do you think he'll be okay?" Anya whispered to her mama. They were in the sitting room closest to Severus' room. Although usually if any of the Princes were in the Hospital they would get a VIP room with its own sitting area, Severus' condition had him in the ICU and Eileen hadn't left his side for a second.
"I hope so," Yor replied, squeezing her daughter's hand. Anya sighed, weary and tired, and leaned her head against Yor's side.
"I can't believe Dumbledore allowed this," Yor added softly. Child soldiers were one thing but this, this was a whole 'nother level of risking everyone's life.
"Well, I can," Yuri scoffed, coming into the room.
"Brother!" Yor exclaimed, relieved to see him.
"How's the boy?" He asked. He had no care for him, of course, but his sister did. And if Dumbledore hurt his sister, well, he'd make the old man pay.
"He's stable now," Yor replied. It had been what the last MediWizard had told them.
"Good," Yuri began, "I hear Lord Prince and Forger have already convened the Board of Governors. Hopefully they can have Henderson take over the position soon enough. We're already working on arrest warrants for Dumbledore, McGonagall, Lupin, and Black. Desmond and Blackbell are all too happy to see them pay. Risking the children's life like that. Inconceivable."
"But Sirius and Remus are children," Yor fretted. She didn't particularly care for the boys but especially Remus was as much of a victim in this case. Although she did wish the boy had more sense and had gotten better friends.
"They're both already seventeen. They are legal adults and will have to be tried and treated as such. They knew what they were doing, Yor," Yuri replied and Yor nodded. She may not like it but they did almost kill her precious nephew.
"Good," Anya said sharply, finally speaking up. The darkness in her eyes matched Yuri's own thirst for vengeance and for the first time in his life he thought that maybe he'd just made the right choice of heir. He had a feeling Dumbledore and his little pets would soon rue the day they chose to ignite Anya's wrath and he couldn't wait to sit back and enjoy the show.
