Chapter Text
Still Nico's pov
---
I wake up before Will the next morning, and we've changed from me cuddling him from behind to him cuddling me from behind.
I vaguely remember waking up at one am and, seeing him facing me, turning the other way.
I would get up, but his arm is around my waist and I really don't want him to move.
I just grab my phone and play candy crush silently.
He wakes up maybe 5 minutes later.
"Nico? When did we get like this?"
Oh shit. He has a southern accent.
His morning voice is hot.
I'm fucked.
"I dunno." Liar.
He starts to get up.
"Can we just lay here for a minute? Class doesn't start for another 30 minutes."
I'm kinda surprised I actually said that aloud.
"Yeah why not." His morning voice is gravely and southern and just, wow.
We lay there, and I enjoy the feel of his breath on my neck and the weight of his arms.
After twenty minutes I sigh and tell him we have to get up. He goes to change in the restroom, comes out in Jeans and a long sleeve spirit shirt.
I don't know how he does it, I mean I have tattoos from my sister's boyfriend on my arms and even I don't wear long sleeves this time of year.
Whatever, it's not my business.
~Time Skip Brought to You by Hazel Supremacy~
Today's Tuesday, so I have two free periods in a row after lunch. Usually I spend that time practicing, wether that be running or hand to hand combat (I like to dabble)
This week though, is running. So I drop my bag and mypake my way out to the courtyard. Usually I would go to the track, but we have to be accompanied my a senior or a Coach, and Percy is out today. According to Piper he's on a date, and gossip from Piper , especially dating gossip, is usually fact
When Piper told me, Jason looked me weird. I know why. Well, I think I do. It was either him looking to see if I'm weirded out about Percy going on a date, or just him staring into space whishing he was on a date with Percy.
Probably both. Jason is a hopeless romantic. Gooy and mushy and, ugh. He and Percy and Leo are like the perfect couple.
At least That's what it seems like.
Regardless, I put my earbuds in, start my timer, and start jogging the perimeter of the large yard.
Wills pov
Kayla glares at me. "Well? How do I look? I'm going for 'I am women hear me roar!'"
"More like I am women hear me mumble" Scoffs Austen.
I lightly hit his arm.
Kayla sighs. "He's right. It's not the energy I'm going for."
"Do you need me to get your spare bag?" I offer. (She has a spare bag of clothes, food, pads, ect)
"Please"
I sigh and make my way from the empty classroom to her locker.
Why Kayla cares so much, I don't really know.
Well, it's probably due to that one girl from science. But whatever. I go to open her locker but, out of the corner of my eye, see the window.
Which I mean isn't a big thing, windows are, ya know, normal obviously.
But Nico Do Angelo jogging the outside of the courtyard, was not.
At least not to me. Was I the only one who didn't know about this?
I step out the door to my left into the courtyard, and, just for a minute, and definitely not in a creepy way, watch him run. When he starts nearing me I immediately grab Kayla's bag and go back to the classroom.
I open the door (which, don't ask me how my brother did this, has the Zia symbol painted on it)
I walk in and throw Kayla her bag. "Ya know, we're bound to get in trouble for the door."
Austen shrugs. "Dad's rich and we're all gay. Dad pays them and I accuse them of being homophobic"
Kayla scoffs as the rifles through the bag. "As much as I believe in not using gay as an excuse, we all know it would work."
"Oh speaking of," she says, straightening up, "What's going on between you and that demon kid"
"Nicos not a demon."
"I'm not saying it in a bad way, I just didn't know his name."
"His name is Nico, he has really good hair-"
"How do you know? Have you touched it?" Austen Lena's in, smirking.
"No I haven't- well, well I have, but you can tell by just looking at it."
Kayla nods. "I need to ask what shampoo he uses."
Austen scoffs. "He's Italian."
"Oooh okay. Well fuck"
"What does him being Italian have to do with anything"
"Italians all have good hair"
Austen nods. "Force of nature."
