Chapter Text
Sunoo sighs nervously, giving the taxi driver the money and a warm smile before he steps out from the taxi. He made his lips into a cute ‘o’ as his eyes look up to the huge mansion in front of him. “Wow,” He whispers in awe, inner-self loves how the mansion looks. “I wish I can buy something like this. Jungwon and Riki would love to run around in the garden,” He sighs sadly as his legs drag him towards the doorbell. He pursed his lips and presses the doorbell, jolting in surprise when the sound echoed the household. After a while, finally the gates open and Sunoo stare in awe again.
“Come in,”
Sunoo jolts again, looking around for the sound earning himself a chuckle. He squints his eyes, leaning against the speaker. “I can come in?” He asks timidly earning himself another chuckle.
“Yes, if you don’t want I can close the gates,”
“No! I mean, no need! I-I will come inside now,” Sunoo let out a burst of nervous laughter and quickly get inside before the gates close. He took a deep breath, shaking slightly since he is nervous because this is the first time he ever steps inside a rich person’s house. He waits for a while, straightens up his body when he heard the front door click. He breathes in and out, putting on his best smile but his smile faded away when the person in front of him is too familiar to him.
“Do you think it’s a good idea, Heeseung? I mean we still will be the monsters that they hate and I don’t think my step-brother will like it.”
Heeseung chuckles, leaning back as he looks at the nervous friend of his.
“I know we will still be wolves and vampires but he is your Queen and thanks for him I can smell my mate. Who knows maybe our mates can be friends and we can finally be happy after long gloomy years for us. Plus, your step-brother learned his lesson for not messing with you, right?”
His friend nods his head as he thinks for a while and glances at his step-brother beside him. Who had his head down the entire conversation. “Do you want to go with us or you want to stay in Alexandra to finally replace my place that you want so much?” Sunghoon asks, raising a brow at Jongseong who just shook his head. “I would like to stay here, brother. To lead the kingdom as how you lead them with success,”
Sunghoon hums, turning back his focus on Heeseung who just shrugs his shoulders since the wolf is determined to go to the human world to search for his mate. “And Heeseung after we permanently live there you know we can’t go back here anymore,”
Heeseung nods his head in understanding, smiling at Beomgyu who he knows will miss him. “Can you take care of the kingdom, Beomgyu? I trust you that you can take care of our people, you’re the second Alpha leader for a reason,”
Beomgyu bits his bottom lips, thinking about it for a while until he slowly nods his head. “Will Minho go with you?” He asks and Heeseung nods his head. “Yes, I can’t leave her alone plus, I am his brother,” Heeseung pats his friend’s shoulder and Beomgyu nods his head again. “I will miss you, Alpha Lee,” Beomgyu sniffles slightly earning a soft chuckle from Heeseung as he pulls his friend into a tight hug.
“I will miss you too, Beomgyu. We can always contact each other through our little secret, don’t forget about that,” Heeseung smiles and Beomgyu smiles along with him.
“Now, let’s get going, Park Sunghoon.”
Sunoo gasps, backing away until he stumbled on his feet but lucky for him the person in front of him, grab his arm before his bum can meet the floor. Sunoo’s shut his mouth tight, wide eyes looking straight at the person before him. “W-What the hell?” He whispers in disbelief while eyeing the taller from the head to toe then to his arm which the taller is holding onto him. He grimaces while trying to shake off his arm and the taller let go of his arm immediately. The taller hums, stepping aside as he gestures the smaller to come inside his mansion.
“Come inside,” The taller said softly, looking at Sunoo with those sharp eyes. “U-Um,” Sunoo stutters, hugging his petite body making the taller sigh and ignore him. “Do we know each other?” The taller raises his left brow, earning a frown from the smaller. But he looks like him. Sunoo frowns deeper, eyeing the taller who had his back to him.
“Let’s talk inside,”
Sunoo gulps, obeying the stern voice as both of them get inside the mansion and Heeseung is right it is a pigsty. “Are you living in a dump?” Sunoo frowns, glancing at the taller but then looks away since the glare is scaring the hell out of him. “You’re the new maid, right?” The taller asks, snapping Sunoo out of his thoughts. Sunoo coughs slightly and nods his head with the taller leading them to the living room where’s showed another messy room. “Oh my god, what’s with this mansion?” He whispers face scrunches in disgust.
“Sorry, I get too busy with work. I didn’t have time to clean and most of the maids before this are so fucking pain the ass,”
The taller rants and Sunoo nods his head, mouth shut as he is afraid to make the taller more pissed off. As the taller continues to rant about his messy house, Sunoo’s mind races. He looks so much like him. Can it be? Sunoo's heart pounds in his chest, a mixture of fear and hope swirling inside him. Their eyes meet again, and for a brief moment, something unspoken passes between them. Sunoo takes a tentative step forward. “Do you...remember me?” He asks, voice trembling.
The taller’s expression softens for just a second before his guard goes back up. “Maybe. But let’s get you settled first. We have a lot to talk about,” He says as they head deeper in the mansion. Sunoo nods, feeling a flicker of hope. Maybe, just maybe, this meeting will be the beginning of something they both long for. As the taller leads Sunoo through the mansion, they pass room after room filled with clutter and dust. The taller seems embarrassed, glancing at Sunoo to gauge his reaction. “It’s been rough these past few months,” He mutters. “Trying to juggle everything on my own,”
Sunoo feels a pang of sympathy. “I understand. It’s hard to manage everything alone,”
They reach the kitchen, which is surprisingly cleaner than the rest of the house. The taller motions for Sunoo to sit at the kitchen island. “Would you like something to drink, My Queen?”
Sunoo's eyes widen in disbelief and gasps in shock. “S-Sunghoon?” Tears start to pool on the corners of his eyes and Sunghoon immediately close the distance between them. “My Queen, I’ve missed you,” Sunghoon whispers, hands cupping Sunoo’s wet cheeks with his thumb gently wiping away his tears. Sunoo cries harder, the weight of his emotions overwhelming him. “I-It’s you, it’s really you!” He pulls the older in a tight embrace making them almost stumble on the floor but Sunghoon brace themselves until he adjust Sunoo on his lap making the younger straddles his lap.
“I-I’ve missed you too! B-But how?” Sunoo asks between his sobs. Sunghoon chuckles, eyes also teary as they lock their eyes together. “Heeseung and I left the other world. He could smell his mate when we send you off and he said it’s now or never,”
“Heeseung?” Sunoo frowns and then his eyes widen. “Don’t tell me, he's the doctor who take care of me?”
“That Heeseung, yes,” Sunghoon smiles, cupping the younger’s cheek who unconsciously leans in his palm. Sunoo sighs deeply, trying to process what just happened and then he slaps the vampire’s chest hard. Sunghoon winces in pain and looks at Sunoo like a kicked puppy. “What is that for, My Queen?” He asks and a cute pout painted his lips.
“That’s for making me feel guilty leaving you behind,” Sunoo says with also a cute pout mirrored his. “And this is sacrificing for me your kingdom and title behind,” Sunoo leans in and place a sweet passionate kiss making Sunghoon caught off guard but slowly he returns the kiss. He closes his eyes, sliding his hand up until the back of the younger’s hair to deepen the kiss. They both moan and groan in pleasure as they shared a few more kisses until they decide to break away for air.
“I love you, My Queen,” Sunghoon murmurs making Sunoo blushes like a soft pink colour rose.
“I love you too, My King,” Sunoo leans in, placing his forehead against the older's and they both share huge smiles. They sit in silence for a while, the room filled with the unspoken promise of a new beginning. Sunghoon finally speaks again, his voice gentle. “We’ll figure this out together, yeah?”
Sunoo nods, a smile breaking through his happy tears. “Okay.”
As they sit there, in each other’s embrace, both of them know that the path ahead won’t be easy. But for the first time in a long time, they feel a glimmer of hope. They have found each other again, and maybe, just maybe, that’s enough to start healing the wounds of the past and build a future they both long for.
