Work Text:

Barely awake, Dewey laid blissfully on his roommate's couch while he stuffed his face with pizza. Music blared over the speaker on the TV stand. The best way to unwind after a shitty day. He rolled onto his stomach and strained to reach the small amp-shaped beer fridge. The front door clicked unlocked and his roommate stepped in.

"Hey, Dewb."

"Yo!" They stole a pizza slice, sitting on the floor in front of the couch. That was their usual spot, Dewey being a major couch hog. They opened up the fridge and passed him a beer. "Thankya kindly."

"Mhmm. Rough day?"

"Guilty as charged." Dewey sighed. "It was the worst. Summer got pissed at me, like majorly pissed. It was my fault of course. I still feel bad about it. I forget sometimes how much smarter those kids are. You think she'd like a... I dunno, ukulele?"

"An apology ukulele?"

"Yeah, that's stupid, you're right." He groaned. "Who's bright idea was is to put me in charge?"

"Dewey, you aren't very sharp, it's true." They started teasingly, turning to cross their arms on the couch and resting their chin on the cushion. "But you are a great leader! Your energy and determination are contagious man, you make those kids feel just as excited as you even when they don't get it."

"God, stroke my ego why, dont you?"

"It's true! You're a fantastic teacher, even if the kids are more booksmart than you, you get the emotions. You feel the music and you're showing those kids how to feel it too." They tapped Dewey's nose. "They love you because you are a delight to be around. And the school would not have let you stick around if you didn't do something right, eh?"

"I guess." Dewey turned his head away, trying and failing to hide just how flustered being complimented made him. "You're too nice, but I am the best."

"And you're an absolute sweetheart." They silently caught onto Dewey's sudden shyness. "You know, Dewey, you are so talented."

"I do know, thank you." He gave a little bow sitting down.

"You're charming, I've never met a guy even half as charismatic as you." Dewey swallowed a whimper, sitting up stiffly and crossing his legs. They moved to sit next to him, wrapping an arm around Dewey's shoulders and leaning close.

"I brag about you at work." They cooed. "My roommate the rockstar- No, the rock god. And you know what else I tell them about you?"

"What?" Dewey's breathing was heavy.

"He's the prettiest guy I've ever laid my eyes on." They whispered in his ear. "I love it when he finishes a gig and his little button up is almost see through, when it clings to his pretty body. You sparkle on stage, Dew, like the rockstar you are. I tell them you look gorgeous."

"Fuck." Dewey whined, acutely aware that they was egging him on.

"Fuck is right, you're unlike any person I've ever met.." They thumbed at the hem of Dewey's hoodie. "You are so kind. So caring. You look so cute when you're gushing about your favorite music. Open your legs stop hiding, dork."

"Well, I'm not sure there's- really there's no need, I just.." He didn't know what he wanted to say, the thought of his very attractive roommate even looking him right then lit him on fire. He slowly uncrossed his legs, shamefully exposing the obvious bulge in his sweats.

"Just look at you." They kissed Dewey's neck, earning a whine. "I bet I could get you off without even touching you."

"You can." Dewey admitted softly.

"Just me talkin' to you is enough? That's so cute, butterball." Dewey tucked his face into their neck, trying to hide his embarrassment. "You're just precious. You know that, Dewey? You're such a good boy."

"God, you're- you're fucking killing me here." Dewey gasped.

"Take your shirt off for me?" Dewey was a bit more reluctant about that, but he carefully pulled his hoodie off, revealing his plush body. To him it was embarrassing, the tent in his sweats poked against his soft belly. "Shit, Dewey aren't you a sight to behold? Even prettier than I could've imagined."

"You think so?" He fished for reassuring compliments. They ran their fingers along his belly, squeezing his lovehandles. "I guess I'm pretty great."

"Look you. Christ, Dewey, you're gorgeous." Their voice was soothing. "You give the best hugs, you know that? Like the sweetest, softest teddy bear."

"Fuck- please touch me." Dewey whimpered. "I need you."

"Alright, alllright. Since you asked so nicely." They pressed their palm against Dewey, forcing a whine out of him. "You're the best roommate I've ever had. A little messy, but a sweetheart, so fun to be around. I love hearing you play your heart out, I love taking care of you, and you want to hear the funniest thing?"

"What?" Dewey gasped, feeling them slowly palm him. "C'mon, don't- don't leave me hanging."

"I love you, Dewey." That pushed him over the edge easily, Dewey whined against their neck. His wavy hair was stuck to his forehead, his chest heaving, cheeks blushing like he had a fever. His soft panting being the only noise between them, Dewey's skin was slicked with sweat and he'd barely moved an inch. He looked wrecked. "Look at you, such a pretty boy. You're so sensitive. When was the last time someone pampered you?"

"Never." Dewey mumbled breathlessly. They propped Dewey up against the couch arm, but Dewey grabbed at their wrist.

"I'll be back, I'm just gonna get you some new shorts." They were quick to clean him up and help him change. The rockstar seemed to be a bit out of it, just desperate for attention. They decided to just get him to bed, cradling him gently. "You did so good, Dewey. Such a good job."

"Thanks for.." Dewey trailed off as they kissed his neck. "Thanks.. for that. I needed it."

"You deserved it." Dewey shuddered at their ghosting touch.

"I love you too." Dewey admitted softly, returning to the earlier sentiment. "If you, uh, if you meant it."

"I did." They chuckled. They cupped Dewey's full cheeks and kissed him, slow and attentive. "I love you."

"Wow." Dewey breathed. "That's.. wow."

"Isn't it?"
