Chapter Text
Day 81. It wasn't just any normal man either, it was something entirely else. The man was twice the size of a normal person. He had wings as big as sails, on his back they were as black as night and at the tips as rosy pink as ever, going through dark blue and purple. His hair short and ashen, his eyes made of amethyst, skin toned from the thousand suns. He looked intimidating and in rage where he stood in ashes.
Day 82. "I summoned you, Anthony Eros, Ruler of the Underworld, God of death and dreams, for the purpose and reason to grant me the power to overtake the gods!" Maniac spoke with confidence. I shivered. "He is insane! Don't listen to him!" Caroline shouted from the other side of the field. "Silence you peasant!" The man spoke. "So you summoned me here huh? Well what is your name human?" He asked.
Day 83. "My name?" Maniac laughed. "That is so simple! I thought you knew this by now! My name is Heath "Maniac" Obsidian." The man? Should I refer to him as anything else? Chuckled. "Well Heath. To be honest, I could grant you such power, but there are some ifs and whatnots to that. And why would some puny little mortal like you want to overtake gods?" His laugh ringing in my ears as loud as a church bell.
Day 84. "Yes indeed why?" Heath seemed to wonder as the wind played with his hair. "Well, that is actually none of your business. All you need to do is lend me your power and strength for when I have taken down the kingdom of gods and I'll repay you with whatever you want. In the end, I shouldn't let you go unpaid, right?" Heath chuckled at that. "Indeed you shouldn't." The god spoke.
Day 85. Suddenly, both Heath and Anthony started to shrink."What the?" I heard Orion mutter. The death god was now human sized and my former friend was captured in a glass bottle. "Well, while I would like to consider lending you my powers, they are nothing extraordinary. Besides, I can't let you overtake my brethren or even get away with even thinking about it. I am a god after all." Eros chuckled as he reduced the size of the glass bottle.
Day 86. As the dust settled the rest of the crew settled closer to me. "What now?" Caroline asked me. "I really dont know." I whispered and peeked over where the god sat. He looked at me for a moment, his eyes filled with wonder and then layed down on the ground, his wings layed out for the sun to kiss them. I looked back at my crew sitting criss crossed around me when I decided something. I was going to do something really foolish.
Day 87. I stood up and shouted. "Oi! You there! What are your plans! Are you going to just stay there or what?" "What the fuck Snips! Get down!" Joseph angrily whispered. I glared at him. "Well mortal, if you really want to know, I'd rather stay here for couple of centuries and then return home. The potato demons can be quite a handful sometimes if I do say so myself." He spoke and sighed. "Say, do you have room for another crewmate?"
Epilogue. "And that is the story of how I met your father." I smiled. "But what happened after that?" Asked Ethan. "Dear, that is a story for another time. Can't you see that your sister and brother are already asleep?" "I know." He mumbled. "Goodnight honeycomb." "Goodnight mother." I left, closing the door. "You told them that story?" Anthony asked. "They asked me, I couldn't say no." I smiled. "I couldn't be happier."
