Chapter Text

Akutagawa had just been separated from Atsushi due to a wall dropping down between them

Akutagawa looked around the room he was put in to examine what it was like before he found a small hole in the wall which seemed to lead into a different room then the one he was currently in.

Akutagawa cautiously went into the new area and started to explore the walls, they were large and covered entirely with paintings of people he did not recognize
"where is Atsushi? he was supposed to be right beside me, how can someone be so stupid?"

Akutagawa thought before stopping in his tracks when his eye caught a familiar painting, It was a picture of him in a dark room filled with paintings basically identical to the ones that were in the room he was standing in now

Akutagawa turned in a hurry when he heard a low grumbling sound from behind him, the hole that he had originally come in had morphed into a door with seemingly no handle just a spot you could put a handle

"I've seen this before" Akutagawa whispered to himself, the way this room was put together seemed almost like an escape room he remembered the time Tachihara and Higuchi brought him and Gin to one before

He began to look around the room investigating all the painted and locking then into memory a skill he had learned from being in the Port Mafia, he had memorized all the paintings and there details before he begun to take them down off the walls

Underneath all of the paintings were a number and Underneath the one he had been inspecting earlier was a safe, he needed a 6 digit code to unlock it

Akutagawa began to think back to all the paintings to see if they had any numbers hidden on them, he thought back to that once painting that he was on it had a faint marking on.. no under the paint

Akutagawa found the painting and began to inspect it, he felt the frame and noticed a small crevice on it, he priyed open the hidden latch and revealed a small knife and brush

he knew what he had to do and put the painting on the floor and began to carefully chisel the paint away where he had say the mark

using Rashomon and his memory he gather up six more paintings with the same markings under the paint, Akutagawa used Rashomon as other hands carefully chiseling the paint away on all 7 pictures

Akutagawa uncovered all the numbers underneath "15, 3, 1, 20, 16, 3, 25.." Akutagawa thought out loud "what could it mean?" he knew it's a code but there's a million different combinations he'd never figure it out

"if you ever find yourself needing to figure out a code you should see what letters the numbers translate to" Akutagawa suddenly remembered Mori say

with that new information I'm mind he translated the numbers to letters
"15=O, 3=C, 1=A, 20=T, 16=P, 3=C, 25=Y"
now all he had to do is find the right word

he struggled with it for a few seconds before it hit him, "Copycat!" Akutagawa said to himself he walked over to the safe and punched in the numbers, the safe opened and inside was a handle Akutagawa grabbed it and quickly attached the handle to the door, opened it and finally left the room he was originally stuck in.
