Chapter Text

Bonnie watches as the Mystic Grill, once a safe haven, transforms into a stage for high-stakes drama. The tension between Klaus and Elijah melts away with the arrival of Enid, who seems to hold significant sway over both Originals. She observes how Klaus, usually a force of chaos, appears almost human in his interaction with Enid.

The warmth in his laughter and his casual, affectionate behavior towards her starkly contrasts with his usual demeanor of fear and control. Enid’s demeanor, marked by disinterest and casual contempt, is jarring. Her treatment of Klaus as if he were an annoying sibling, complete with a middle finger, reveals a personal history that defies the legends surrounding the Mikaelsons.

It’s a reminder that beneath their formidable exteriors lie human relationships and mundane conflicts.

Elijah, usually the dignified one, displays a rare tenderness towards Enid. His efforts to make her feel at home seem genuine, even as Klaus’s chaotic presence overshadows the moment.

As Matt returns with drinks, Bonnie watches Enid accept her beverage with a mixture of exhaustion and disdain, further highlighting her complex emotions and history with the Mikaelson brothers. The revelation of Enid’s connection to the Originals and the potential undaggering of the rest of the family adds layers of complexity to the situation.

Bonnie exchanges uneasy glances with Elena and Caroline, their faces reflecting shared apprehension. The Mystic Grill has shifted from a place of comfort to a battleground of supernatural intrigue.

As the group exits the Grill, the cool night air fails to ease Bonnie’s discomfort. She looks at Elena and Caroline, their faces mirroring her unease.

Damon and Stefan, unusually quiet, appear lost in thought. Bonnie senses that they are all grappling with the same questions, who is Enid, and what does her arrival mean for their already complicated lives?

Bonnie breaks the silence. “So, who the hell is this Enid?” Her tone is sharper than she intends, reflecting the gravity of the situation.

Elena shakes her head, her expression troubled. “I don’t know. Elijah and Klaus clearly care about her, and she’s got some serious pull. But her talk was filled with history. There’s a lot we don’t know.”

Caroline grips her keys tightly, her unease palpable. “She’s clearly close to them, and she’s not just any vampire.”

“Her magic and ability to manipulate time suggest she’s a significant player. The way she took control in the Grill was... unsettling.”

Damon’s dark smile contrasts with his usual sardonic humor. “If she can freeze a whole crowd and make Klaus look like a lovesick fool, she’s definitely someone to watch.”

“We need to figure out her angle.”

Bonnie glances back at the Grill’s neon sign, its glow a stark reminder of their lost sense of security. “The real question is why she’s here now.”

“Elijah thinks she could help with their mess, but she’s clearly got her own agenda.”

Stefan, typically calm, looks troubled. “If she’s back now, something big is coming. Her reaction to Klaus and Elijah suggests unfinished business.”

Bonnie rubs her temples, frustration clear. “Her magic, despite being a vampire, is impressive but dangerous.

We need to understand her motivations and her connection to the Mikaelsons.”

Caroline’s determination sharpens. “We need to find out more about Enid, her goals and her relationship with the Originals. If she’s a new player, we need to know what we’re dealing with.”

Elena nods in agreement. “We need to be proactive. Bonnie, could you look into any magical lore or sources about her?”

Bonnie nods firmly, her mind already racing. “I’ll start digging. But we all need to stay alert. If the Originals are gearing up for something big, we need to be prepared.”

As Bonnie, Elena, and Caroline head to their cars, the night air feels colder, weighted by the new uncertainties introduced by Enid’s arrival.

The familiar world of Mystic Falls seems to spin on its axis as they drive away from the Grill, each lost in their thoughts about the potential implications. The drive to their respective homes is silent, each absorbed in their own concerns.

Bonnie’s mind races through the information she has, trying to piece together the significance of Enid’s presence and her connection to the Mikaelsons. The promise of uncovering more about this enigmatic woman and her ties to the Originals fuels her determination.

When Bonnie arrives at her apartment, she heads straight to her study. The room is filled with ancient texts, magical artifacts, and research materials that have accumulated over the years.

She pulls out a large tome on magical lore and starts flipping through its pages, searching for any references to Enid or similar figures. Her fingers move quickly, scanning for keywords and symbols that might provide insight into Enid’s abilities and motives.

Her phone buzzes with a new message, pulling her from her research. It’s from Elena, asking if Bonnie has found anything yet. Bonnie quickly types a response, assuring her that she’s on it and will keep them updated.

She glances at the clock, realizing the hours have slipped by. The urgency of their situation keeps her focused, and she continues her search, determined to find any relevant information.

Hours  later, she finally finds a reference to Enid in an obscure magical manuscript.

The text speaks of an original witch who was a siphoner, a hybrid, and a key player in the early history of vampire magic.

Enid’s unique abilities and her role in the Mikaelson family’s past align with the information Bonnie has gathered. She notes that Enid’s magic, combined with her personal history, makes her a formidable and potentially unpredictable ally, or foe.

Bonnie makes a mental note to share this information with Elena and Caroline.

Enid follows Elijah through the grand hallways of the Mikaelson mansion, her steps echoing softly on the polished marble floors. The grandeur of the surroundings is impressive, but her mind is preoccupied with the pressing matter of her husband.

When Elijah leads her into a quieter, more intimate room away from the bustling core of the house, she takes a deep breath, trying to steady her impatience. The room is tastefully decorated, with a small dining table set for two.

Elijah gestures for her to take a seat, his demeanor calm but serious. Enid sits down, her eyes fixed on him, waiting for answers.

He takes his seat across from her, his posture composed. “I understand you’re anxious to see Kol,” he begins, his voice steady. “But there’s a reason for the delay.”

Enid’s eyes narrow slightly. “And what reason would that be?”

Elijah leans forward, his gaze steady. “I’ve arranged for a strategic event in the next few days. Klaus intends to invite Damon Salvatore to the mansion. It’s not merely a social visit but part of a broader plan.”

Enid raises an eyebrow. “Damon Salvatore? That’s quite a risky move. What’s Klaus hoping to achieve?”

Elijah nods. “Klaus wants to display his power and reinforce his position.”

“Damon has been a significant player in our recent conflicts, and by parading his victory before him, Klaus aims to either secure an alliance or ensure a temporary truce. It’s a way to showcase strength and leverage.”

Enid absorbs this information, her frustration momentarily giving way to curiosity. “And how does this event factor into your plans?”

Elijah’s expression turns more focused. “During the dinner, I will use the occasion to undagger the rest of the family. The celebration will create a perfect cover, allowing us to perform the ritual with minimal risk of interference.”

Enid’s gaze sharpens. “So, I must wait until then.”

“And I’ll remain in the background?”

“Yes,” Elijah confirms. “It’s the safest approach. Acting now could cause chaos and endanger the success of the spell. We need to ensure everything is executed with precision.”

Enid leans back, crossing her arms. “I understand the need for caution, but it’s difficult to be patient. Kol and the others are trapped, and I feel powerless.”

Elijah’s eyes soften with empathy. “I share your frustration. The waiting is challenging, particularly given our history. Being so old in such a youthful era can be quite isolating.”

Enid’s expression reflects a mix of resignation and contemplation. “It’s strange to be so ancient in a world that feels so transient and ever-changing. Sometimes I wonder if the centuries have made us more detached, or if it’s just the world that’s moved on.”

Elijah nods thoughtfully. “I’ve felt the same.”

“Our immortality carries a certain weight, living through epochs of change while trying to maintain a connection to what once was. It’s a challenge to remain engaged when everything around us evolves so rapidly.”

Enid looks around the room, taking in the elegance that seems almost out of place in the current era. “Perhaps that’s why Klaus clings to his grand gestures and power plays. It’s his way of asserting his presence in a world that seems to forget too easily.”

“Yes,” Elijah agrees. “For Klaus, it’s about leaving an enduring mark.”

“But for us, it’s about finding balance between our ancient selves and the modern world that constantly shifts beneath our feet.”

Enid sighs, her gaze returning to Elijah. “I suppose waiting is part of this balance. I just hope that when the time comes, everything will go as planned.”

Elijah’s expression is one of quiet resolve. “It will. I assure you. In the meantime, focus on the positive. Soon you’ll be reunited with Kol and the rest of the family. The waiting will be worth it.”

Enid nods, her frustration tempered by the gravity of their situation. “Alright. I’ll wait. But please keep me informed about any updates. Kol’s safety is my top priority.”

Elijah stands, his demeanor shifting back to his formal self. “I will. Rest and prepare yourself for the upcoming event. It will be a pivotal moment for all of us.”

Notes:

Hey hi.

How have you been:)

Totally didn’t have major writers block for a while or anything >~<

Notes:

This is truly just an indulgence for Kol Mikaelson.

I’m not sure what I have for plot other than Kol and Enid being menaces.
