Summary
Barbara Pegg is a kindhearted deaconess of Church of Favonius and Mondstadt's beloved Shining Idol. A sweetheart who's always there for anyone in need. Everyone in Mondstadt simply dub her as "Perfect" and constantly shower her with attention and praise. Barbara being People's pleaser that she is busks in this warm aura.
But she more then anyone is aware how fake her life is. Barbara always lies. She lies when asked about her personal stuff and She lies about her true feelings. Being born an Empath gave her high understanding about humans emotions, what they want to hear and what not and how those around her truly felt. With her special abilities she created her flawless persona, hiding her true self even from Family. Making others happy became her main job and it was really fun too.
Of course one can't have all good things in their lives. Having Fatui mingle in Mondstadt's affairs, Stormterror's Attack, Holy Lyre's theft, having people's high demand for her, coming to realization that many weren't who they seemed and having your concert which you dedicated to your sister crashed, frankly can make even most patient person snap!
