“This is your fault,” a vicious voice told them, causing them to turn to look through the rain at the holder, “He would still be here if it wasn’t for you.”
Hizashi looked into Nemuri’s eyes, seeing them full of nothing but boiling anger. They weren’t sure how to respond, simply asking, “What?”
“Oh don’t play dumb,” she sneered, stepping closer to them and sticking a finger in their chest, “The villain had a quirk that let him use your quirk,” she stated matter of factly, Hizashi unable to back up as that would cause them to step on a grave, “The villain then used your quirk to destroy the building that hit Oboro. “Let’s go to the cafe, yeah?” Shouta offered, lightly squeezing Hizashi’s hand as he added, “I doubt they’ll care that we’re rain soaked. As long as the cats don’t get wet, right?”
Hizashi nodded lightly and failed to hum in agreement, letting Shouta lead them by holding their hand. He didn’t let go, and Hizashi was grateful for the hold. It kept them floating above the impending storm. They wanted to stay afloat as long as they could, not ready for the emotions waiting to drown them.
