Summary
As A-Yuan walked through the alley and toward the street, he accidentally kicked a cardboard box and something came flying out of it, landing on the dirty ground. A-Yuan crouched to see what it was and was surprised to see a stuffed toy. It was a plushy, stuffed man with a filthy red ribbon in his hair. He was dressed in traditional robes like the ones A-Yuan’s father wore for important ceremonies, except his father’s were white and blue while these were black and red. The toy also had a tiny wooden flute stitched to one hand and a jar of—A-Yuan blushed—alcohol in the other.
A-Yuan finds a stuffed toy on his way from school, but there is more to this toy than meets the eye.
