Chapter Text
“Dad? Shoto?” Izuku called, standing in the doorway to his room. “How-How do I look?”
Dad and Shoto looked up and Izuku knew his cheeks were dusted pink.
Izuku wore his usual red boots and black stockings. He wore a black cardigan that almost dragged on the ground, a black choker with a red heart pendant dangling from the middle. Underneath the cardigan, Izuku wore a dress. It was black with thick shoulder straps, hiding the binder he wore underneath, the skirt came down to just above his knees, the inside of the skirt was red.
Izuku had done his eyeliner and clipped little red stars into his curls.
Shoto gasped and Dad smiled.
Shoto walked over, taking his hand and spinning him around.
“You look amazing!” Shoto told him and Izuku’s lips ticked up.
Izuku looked over to his Papa and found he had his phone out.
“You look beautiful, Sweetheart.” Dad told him.
Izuku’s smile widened. “Thanks.”
“Mom? Dad? Granma, Granpa? How do I look?” Hitoshi asked his phone. He was on a video call to home.
Hitoshi wore shiny black boots and black skinny jeans. He wore an aegean blue button up shirt, a black and lapis blue chequered vest overtop.
He wore a bit of blue eyeshadow on his eyelids and his lips had a thin coat of pink lip gloss.
“Oh! You look so handsome!” Granma gushed.
“My beautiful boy!” His mother chirped.
“You look great!” Dad told him.
“It’s been a while since I last saw you so dressed up!” Granpa said. “Looking good!”
“Thank you!” Hitoshi smiled.
“Oh look at that stunning smile!” Granma cooed.
Hitoshi laughed. “Ok! Ok, I should get going! Wish me luck!”
“GOOD LUCK!!!” His family yelled into the phone before they ended the call.
Hitoshi smiled.
Hitoshi knocked on the Aizawa dorm door, having been let in by Midnight, who teased him. Then Present Mic saw him and teased him too. He was just taking his boyfriend on a date, why were they teasing him?
The door opened and Hitoshi came face to face with Shoto.
“Hi.” He said.
“Hello.” Hitoshi smiled, nervous.
Shoto leaned forward, in a hushed voice he spoke. “You dare hurt him, ever , you will regret it.”
Hitoshi nodded.
Shoto smiled and leaned back. “Come in!” He chirped.
Hitoshi followed Shoto into the dorm.
Aizawa stared at him. Hitoshi blinked, staring back.
Aizawa walked forward and his wide grin he used to scare people appeared on his face. It still successfully made Hitoshi shiver.
“You hurt my darling, Izuku, just know, I know how to hide a body. They would never find you. ” He hissed before the smile vanished and he backed away. “Just a warning.”
Hitoshi nodded with a wobbly smile.
A door opened and Hitoshi turned around. His breath left him the second he found Izuku.
“... Hi, Starlight..” Hitoshi breathed out.
“.. Hi, Moonlight.” Izuku replied quietly.
Hand in hand, they walked down the street.
They picked up take out for dinner and were headed to the park they got together in.
Their joint hands swung gently between them.
The air was cool, barely any wind, the sounds of cars passing met their ears, the newly lit street lights could have made them feel like they were under the spotlight on stage.
None of it mattered.
Their fingers were intertwined, they were holding onto each other. The only thing that felt like it mattered in that moment was the other.
They let life just be about them, only them, for a change.
Not a single other thing.
Izuku laid beside Hitoshi on the grass, staring up at the sky, something they’d done before.
Izuku turned to look at his beloved, finding him looking back at him.
A smile ghosted Izuku’s lips. Hitoshi mirrored his smile.
Hitoshi leaned forward, one hand coming to gently hold his face. Izuku leaned forward too, one hand moving to Hitoshi’s waist.
A moment later their lips touched and just like the first time they kissed, Izuku couldn’t help but lose track of how long the feather light touch lasted. He wondered if Hitoshi felt the same.
When they finally pull away, Izuku thinks he knows the answer when he sees the soft look in his beautiful amethyst eyes.
Once again he knows not how long they stay just watching each other, the world falls away.
It’s when they’re both back on the swings that Hitoshi finally works up the courage he needed.
“... Izuku? Izu? I have something to ask you.” Hitoshi spoke, trying his best to lock his nerves away in the chest he kept them in.
“Ask whatever you wish, Gem.” Izuku replied so gently, his voice could’ve been swept away by the breeze.
Hitoshi stuck his hand into his pocket.
“Well.. I know we haven’t been together long.. But I truly believe you are it for me.” Hitoshi started. “So I got something.”
Hitoshi stood, walking forward a few steps before turning around, standing in front of Izuku who stared up at him.
“My Loveperson, Boyfriend, My Love.. Izuku..” Hitoshi said, pulling the box out of his pocket. “I brought us promise rings. I promise you have all of my romantic love.”
Hitoshi knelt in front of Izuku, opening the box.
“One day, if you wish to marry, I’ll propose, but for now, I promise to give you all of the love you deserve. Do you accept?”
Inside of the box held two rings, both were silver, one had a little amethyst in the centre, the other had onyx in the centre.
Hitoshi looked up at Izuku and found him nodding. His heart raced.
“Yes, of course I do, I love you so much!” Izuku smiled, tears swimming in his eyes.
Hitoshi’s eyes filled with tears too, he smiled back as he pulled the ring with the amethyst from the box and gently took Izuku’s hand. He slid the ring onto his boyfriend's finger before pressing a kiss to his hand.
Izuku slid off of the swing, settling on his knees, Izuku took the onyx ring from the box, just as gentle as every single touch Izuku has given him out of training, Izuku took his hand and slid the ring onto his finger. Izuku leaned forward and pressed his lips to the back of his hand just as he had done to him.
Hitoshi took Izuku’s face into his hands and kissed him once more.
The world fell away and the only thing that mattered was the two of them, together.
The End.
