Chapter 5

Earth-21

(Star City, Secondary Watchtower)

Oliver and Ollie stood over Vordigan's corpse, which was still on the floor. Dinah, Mia, Thea, Roy, Laurel, Sara, and Cisco stood behind the two men.

After contacting Clark, Chloe had gone down to her and Oliver's apartment located underneath the Watchtower base to check on their son, who had slept through the entire ordeal.

"Who is that?" Thea asked.

"We called him Vordigan, but his real name was Arthur King," Oliver answered, traces of sadness in his voice not for the man who had become his enemy and tried to harm his loved ones, but for the man who had, once upon a time, been like a father to him. "He was my mentor who taught me nearly everything I know about my archery and fighting skills." Turning to his counterpart, the billionaire-slash-archer said, "I see you gave him exactly what he wanted, which was for me to kill him."

"I'm sorry," Ollie apologized, seeing the bit of sadness on his counterpart's (or, more accurately, his own) face.

"What for? The man who was my father figure died years ago and was replaced by someone else," Oliver pointed out. "Something else. Something... dark."

He knelt down and closed Vordigan's eyes.

Suddenly, a strong gust of wind got everyone's attention and they turned to see Superman had appeared in the Watchtower.

"Clark," Oliver greeted as he approached his Kryptonian best friend.

"Oliver?" Clark asked in surprise.

"It's me, Boy Scout," Oliver said with a grin. "The same ol' Oliver you've known for years."

Clark then noticed the others. "So you guys were able to come here."

"Not at first," Cisco replied. "I wasn't able to access my powers for most of the day, but then they started working again and I was able to come here. I guess whatever was blocking them is not anymore."

"What happened here?" Clark asked, noticing the mess in the room.

"Ollie's old archery teacher showed up," Dinah explained. "He put mind-control collars on me, Mia, and Chloe, and made us fight Ollie, but he's dead now."

"My namesake took care of him, as you can see," Oliver said, gesturing to Vordigan's corpse.

Clark looked down at the dead Dark Archer, noticing the bloody wound in his chest. It wasn't how he would've handled things, but nothing could be done about that anymore.

"I know what you're thinking, Clark, but what's done is done," Oliver said.

Clark decided to focus on the task he was called for. "So Conner and his team are fighting an android on Earth-1."

"One that's identical to the android you guys fought last year during the Nazi and Doomsday mess," Cisco explained.

Clark nodded in understanding. "Take me to your Earth so I could help stop it."

Earth-1

Conner was beginning to feel exhausted as the heated battle between him and the silver power-replicating android known as Amazo, who was identical to its Earth-X counterpart, continued to unfold in downtown Central City.

The android had been activated during an accident at Ivo Laboratories and started roaming through Central City, searching for any meta-humans it could find with the intention of replicating their abilities.

Superboy, Flash (Wally), Elongated Man, and Frost had battled Amazo with everything they had, putting forth their best effort to try to defeat the android. Unfortunately, Amazo had copied all of their powers and easily overpowered the four heroes, quickly knocking out Ralph and Frost. Sometime afterwards, Wally had been taken out of the fight as well when Amazo sent him crashing into a building and through several walls with a blow to the chest, which not only broke multiple bones in the speedster's chest area but knocked him unconscious, leaving Superboy the only left to take on the android.

Conner hurled a punch at Amazo's head, but Amazo avoided the blow as it vibrated with Wally's speed. Conner threw another punch with his other hand, but Amazo caught Conner's fist and clenched it before delivering a powerful punch to his chest, sending Conner flying off and landing on top of one of the parked cars in the vicinity. Amazo flew down to Conner and raised its arms, unleashing a blast of ice from its palms with Frost's powers and combining it with Kryptonian arctic breath fired from its mouth.

The combined ice powers encased both Conner and the smashed car under him in a solid block of ice.

As Amazo ceased its attack, Conner's heat vision burst through the block of ice, which shattered as the Boy of Steel freed himself and hovered in the air. Amazo stretched its arm out with Ralph's powers, sending a punch towards Conner, who narrowly avoided the blow as he flew to the side. Conner charged forward at high speed, ramming into Amazo as the android was knocked dozens of feet back. Amazo landed on its feet and sped at Conner, knocking the Kryptonian/human hybrid many feet in the air with an uppercut to them jaw. As Conner steadied himself, Amazo flew up, grabbed him with elongated arms, and flung him back to the ground, where a crater formed in the street as Conner crash-landed. Amazo flew down at Conner and tried to punch him, but Conner leapt out of the way while Amazo's fist collided with the ground instead, shattering the concrete. Amazo looked around, scanning the area for its opponent, but couldn't find the Boy of Steel anywhere.

Suddenly, Conner appeared behind Amazo, grabbed it in a tight chokehold, and grunted as he tried to pull the android's head off with all his strength. Amazo vibrated out of Conner's chokehold and whirled around, blasting Conner in the chest with heat vision as the beam sent him flying back. Conner got right back up and slammed his hands together, producing a shockwave that knocked Amazo two dozen feet away. As Amazo recovered, the android and Boy of Steel flew at each other with their fists outward. They collided and another shockwave was produced, causing some nearby vehicles to flip over and any glass in the vicinity to shatter. Conner managed to smash two strong punches into Amazo's chest before Amazo dodged his third punch and grabbed Conner around the neck with both of its hands. Conner gasped for air, struggling to breathe as Amazo squeezed his neck. With both feet, Conner kicked Amazo in the torso, staggering it several feet back as the android lost its grip on his neck. Conner then joined his fists and smashed them into Amazo's face, knocking it almost fifty feet away.

Amazo steadied itself in mid-air and fired heat vision at Conner, who, in turn, fired his own. Their beams clashed halfway, fighting intensely to push the other back.

Then something happened.

Before either of them could react, a streak of red and blue appeared seemingly out of nowhere at tremendous speed and smashed right into Amazo from behind, shattering the android on impact as it was reduced to many bits of useless metal.

Conner stared in shock at the spot where Amazo had been a second ago and saw Clark hovering there instead.

"Clark," the Boy of Steel greeted with a grin.

Clark grinned back. "Figured you could use a hand."

Conner flew over to his older brother. "Thanks."

"No problem," Clark told him.

(S.T.A.R. Labs)

"Every piece of Amazo is locked up in a S.T.A.R. Labs vault except for this one, this is my souvenir," Cisco said, as he twirled a piece of the destroyed android in his hand.

"How's Wally doing?" Conner asked Caitlin.

"He has multiple bone fractures in his chest and ribs along with a concussion, but he'll be fine in a few hours," she explained.

"Good," Conner said, relieved that his best friend would be okay.

"Now that the threat of Amazo is over, it's time for me to return home," Clark stated.

Earth-21

Clark and Cisco returned to the Star City Watchtower base via breach.

"That was quick," Oliver noted.

"Amazo wasn't much of a problem once I showed up," Clark said.

"Yeah, he literally obliterated Amazo in one shot," Cisco said in amazement. "Then again, this version didn't get the chance to become as powerful as its Earth-X doppelganger."

"So what do we do now?" Roy asked.

"Right now, you, Thea, Laurel, and Sara return home while the rest of us stay here and figure out how to switch Ollie and me back to our own bodies," Ollie instructed.

"The sooner we get started on that, the sooner we'll learn who or what caused this weird switcheroo mess in the first place," Oliver added. "It should be easier to do now that we're both…"

Suddenly, time seemed to literally stop as everyone and everything in the Watchtower base froze.

A swirl of bright green energy traveled out Oliver's body, while a swirl of green energy that was a few shades darker than the other one traveled out of Ollie's body, each one being the spirit of an Oliver Queen. The brighter green 'spirit' transferred itself into Ollie while the slightly darker green 'spirit' entered Oliver.

"Whoa," Oliver and Ollie both gasped, suddenly noticing that they had inexplicably exchanged positions as time 'resumed'.

"What the hell just happened?" Ollie wondered.

"I'm wondering the exact same thing," Oliver said.

Laurel frowned. "What's going on?"

"I don't know, I..." Ollie started and trailed off as he and Oliver stared at each other in shock. "Wait, you're..." Then it hit him. "If I'm seeing you, then that means..."

"It means we must be back in our own bodies all of a sudden," Oliver finished in realization.

The others looked at the Olivers with stunned expressions.

"Just like that? You guys are suddenly back in your normal bodies?" Roy asked in disbelief.

Ollie stared down at the clothes. "Well, I'm now wearing the same clothes he had on a moment ago."

"So am I," Oliver said, staring down at his clothes too.

"Plus, I sound like myself again," Ollie noted.

"We're definitely back in our own bodies," Oliver said.

"I didn't expect it to happen that easily," Clark said.

"I guess our job here is apparently done," Cisco pointed out.

"So this means we're not gonna go back home without you after all, Ollie," Thea said to her brother.

Laurel walked up to Oliver with a smile. "If you really are yourself again, we can finally have that kiss."

"Yeah," Oliver nodded with a smile before he and Laurel pulled each other into a passionate kiss, which they broke after ten seconds.

"You guys ready?" Cisco asked.

"Ready when you are, Cisco," Sara told him.

After saying their goodbyes to Clark, Ollie, Dinah, and Mia, Cisco opened a breach and he, Oliver, Laurel, Sara, Thea, and Roy went through it.

"That was weird," Mia commented. She turned to Ollie. "In another universe, you and I are brother and sister."

"We may not be biologically related, Mia, but you're my baby sister here too," Ollie told her.

"Well, thanks, big brother," Mia said with a grin.

"You're welcome, little sis'," Ollie replied, patting Mia's shoulder. Turning to Clark and Dinah, he asked, "Will you guys excuse me? I'm sure Chloe would love to know that her husband's back in his own body, and Roy hasn't got to see his daddy all day."

"I'll see you around, Oliver," Clark said.

"That goes both ways you know," Ollie pointed out.

"Of course," Clark nodded.

Ollie entered his loft apartment to find Chloe and little Roy sitting on the couch as the former was doing some work on her laptop while the latter was watching TV.

Roy jumped up eagerly at the sight of his father. "Dad!" He ran to Ollie, who pulled the boy into a hug.

"Hey there, buddy," Ollie greeted with a grin as he stroked the boy's blonde hair. "I'm glad you're okay."

Chloe got up with a smile and walked over to her husband. "I don't need mind-reading abilities to know that it's really you."

"Yep, back in my own flesh and blood," Ollie replied.

"How?" Chloe asked.

"No idea," Ollie answered. "We were upstairs talking right after Clark came back from Earth-1 when, suddenly, out of nowhere, the other Oliver and I were back in our own bodies. I still would like to know who or what caused it."

"Maybe whoever switched you and your broodier counterpart did it for a reason," Chloe said. "Whether that reason was a good or bad one, we may never know. In any case, I'm glad you both are back to normal and that I have my proper husband back."

"Well, at least now I can finally kiss my wife."

"Not in front of our son."

"Come on, Chlo, what harm will it do? Besides, the kid has to grow up sometime."

"All right, you win, but nothing more than a kiss," Chloe gave in.

"I'll accept that," Ollie said, before eagerly pulling Chloe into a passionate kiss as their son turned away and covered his eyes in disgust.

After they broke the kiss a few seconds later, Chloe said, "Oh, by the way, what do you think of the names Robbie, Mia, or Moira for our second child? I mentioned them to your Earth-1 counterpart this morning, but that was before I found out you weren't you."

"I can go with either one of those," Ollie agreed.

"Great, we'll pick one of those names as soon as we learn the baby's gender," Chloe said with a loving smile before she and Ollie headed to the couch arm-in-arm and sat down next to their son.

Earth-1

(Star City, Night)

Oliver and Laurel entered their loft apartment to find William and Zoe on the couch playing a video game.

Oliver approached his son and foster daughter and, with a warm smile, gave them each a hug.

And that concludes this fic.
