Meryl stepped even closer, so close that Wolfwood straightened up despite the drastic height difference between them.
“Do you want a safe word, or are you taking what I’m giving you?” Meryl asked, snapping her fingers and pointing to the ground between them. “Sit.”
Wolfwood swallowed thickly and dropped down to his knees without hesitation, his face tilting so that he could keep his eyes with her. If she thought he had a few screws loose, then so be it. “Don’t think I need one.”
