Summary
This is the collection for fanworks centering around the women of the Harry Potter series. The fest will run from early May to the end of August.
As the name suggests, it's a fest to celebrate all the female characters in the Harry Potter universe. This includes canonically female characters, trans characters, genderbent characters, and female OCs.
While many of us love the male characters of the Harry Potter world, it's important and valuable to carefully consider the female characters and how they're presented in the texts. This fest will celebrate the whole spectrum of what it means to be feminine, whether that's sporty girls like Ginny, brainy girls like Hermione, weird girls like Luna, girly girls like Lavender, or villainous ladies like Bellatrix. Female characters don't get the same kind of love and attention that male characters do, and part of that is the number of male leads in the series compared to the female leads. With that in mind, it's time to celebrate the ladies!
