Dear Keanu;

I got this posted, as I had hoped and said under today's other post, an update for "A Fragile Bullet".

Not only is it National Mike Day but it is National Brothers Day too. Since River and you were like brothers, this might be more fitting than I had planned.

Happy National Brothers Day, Keanu. You are a good brother, I hope your sisters treasure you as such.

You know, when I heard Crimson and Clover playing on the Suntory advert, I first thought it was cool, at least, because I mentioned that song here.

Only where I thought I had, I didn't.

So, I guess, I never did. :/

See, if I had it would have been under the letter around when Meatloaf passed over. But while I could locate that note (even if finding any other is possibly like finding a needle in a haystack) it wasn't there.

Now I can say it, I suppose.

Well, with those Burger King tapes where they had Meatloaf's Two out of Three Ain't Bad, they had one with Crimson and Clover on it.

Whenever it came on, it made Tara and I laugh. Just something about that singing and the backup, I think. We'd go into hysterics. It sounded like the tape was breaking.

The version on the commercial didn't have that same effect.

But I thought when they were supposed to be singing, "Well, if she'd come walkin' over," they were singing "The witch comes walking over," instead.

And so I was glad that your girlfriend didn't suddenly show up in the ad.

I was worried there for a second.

But anyway, I had a dream with us once to the song.

But I can't remember it much now. I wish that I did. I remember the one where you were behind me and I was touching your knee, but the Crimson and Clover one is mostly gone now.

Which makes me sad.

I should have written it down here.

I knew that there was a dream of us, Tara mentioned it, and then I remembered it too but that's about it. Were we talking about the song? Was it playing while we were talking? Were we in school? We were in school once in a dream, but that one's mostly gone now too.

I tend to remember more of the dreams I have about us while I am awake.

But the dream made me wonder if you'd like that song or not.

I still can't tell.

The usage of it in an advertisement fails to give away the answer.

Speaking of dreams though...Have you seen a film called Strawberry Mansion? I want to now. It reminds me of the Scanner Darkly fic I wrote here: Pooh Corner. But I didn't know Strawberry Mansion existed when I wrote it, not until I was looking up surreal films a few days ago. Please believe me about that.

Strawberry Mansion seems like a sweet film about dreams, one where they are recorded, so you can easily remember them.

But where commercials are placed forcibly inside of them as well.

I was going to mention the film a few days ago too, but I forgot to.

Guess, it was waiting for this letter.

Like Crimson and Clover was too.

Now if only I had shared the dream of us together.

But, I guess, I share that type of dream here everyday anyway.
