He sits, calmly, kneeling in front of the much larger man. By this point Inasa has outgrown Endeavor, despite Shouto remaining his same height since high school.
He should have expected it, being an omega and taking after his mother. But it took some time before the spark of jealousy died down. (Mostly because he realized how nice it was to be so small in Inasa’s large arms.)
The heavy collar rests on his neck- just like every other unmated omega. To protect themselves from feral alpha who would claim their mating gland- the scent gland on the right side of their neck that, when bitten, sealed the supernatural bond between alpha and omega.
If he dropped the collar (only unlockable with his specific pheromones) then Inasa could claim him and they would be bonded forever. Nobody could separate them. They would feel each other, on a level that they didn’t understand yet. Shouto could never bear another alpha’s children.
“We don’t have to do this,” Inasa tells him again. “I don’t mind being unmated, Shouto.”
But he doesn’t need to think twice before dropping the collar.
“I’m yours, Alpha.”
