Summary
Thin, fingerless, leather gloves. They looked horribly out of place on the young Doctor’s hands. Paired with his button up shirt and baggy, long sleeved sweater.

Geeze, uh.
Oop.
I'd uh, appreciate more context and descriptions, I guess.
This is fine.

Ok, to expand, I am fairly sure I remember enough of this fic.
The reveal... was underwhelming. We were getting build-up for it yes, that was good enough. But the actual reveal could've been done better.
I dunno, Morgan's reactions just seemed too clinical? Straightforward?
Maybe it's the pacing of it. Reid didn't entirely feel affected by what he experienced, even if someone were to have moved past it, there should still be *something*. There wasn't hesitance in his speech when telling the story, he just said everything, straight forwardly.
He just showed his scarred hands.
That part for me told more than it showed. Writing is in the little details that we love to fuss over. The things in the background or those that are unsaid yet still very much present in the storytelling.
Besides that, no one really changes after, do they?
I think flashbacks would be great, or if the team had a problem they were trying to solve. Whether it be case or just something that was personal.
Why does Reid wear gloves? That was answered yes, but we didn't really have much of the aftermath to know how this knowledge affectes the other characters (in this case Morgan).
Would anything really change if Reid was kidnapped before the show and had to wear gloves to hide his disfigured hands?
^ Maybe show a bit more of *this* then.
Because, heck, that would change things. Character dynamics and how Reid interacts with other people.
Maybe after everything, if Reid really *did* move on from that experience, he wouldn't have had to wear gloves 24/7 anymore. Especially if the people closest to him support him and Reid knows rhey wouldn't treat him any differently, in a negative way at least.
And maybe expand on how Gideon was so intrigued by Reid's intelligence that he asked Strauss to help save him.
Uhh, that's all I can come up with at the top of my head.
Oops, this was a one shot, soo, I'm giving it more leeway than long-form ones, soo.
This is ok. 12:22 am.
