Chapter Text

Amber never stopped feeling guilty for where she left Graverobber. Or so she would think. It only took a few months for the guilt to fade to a manageable level, and for her to stop wanting to love him. When she saw him exhuming corpses paler than even his painted face in the graveyard, or groveling in the alleys with the Zydrate addicts she’d once called friends, it stung a little. Watching his keen hands work on a corpse, before laying them back to rest.

Graverobber never stayed for long, his fascination with the dead couldn’t stop him from getting the Z. The cover of the night barely veiled the harvesting, let alone the amorous and tempting thoughts that always worked their way to the forefront of his mind.

One night, Amber was in the graveyard, herself. She sat perched on top of a nameless gravestone, her dark jeans and a t shirt unusual for her attire, but she’d stolen the clothing from Luigi the night before, when she’d found them left in the living room.

She saw Graverobber slink past, and look at the grave. He met Amber’s eyes.

“Good evening, Graves.” She said flatly, and laughed softly at the apparent shock on the man’s face “You look so pale, Love. What’s the matter?”

Graverobber looked at her almost blankly, pushing his long hair out of his face. “I… Amber..?” He started, before tripping on his own words

“Still can’t get it up if the girl’s breathing?” She jumped down from the stone, and stood before him

“I could for you.” He rolled his eyes, before looking her up and down.

“Prove it.”

Like that, Amber made peace with her guilt, and Graverobber could pretend to make peace with his percieved evils as Amber placed her arms around his waist and pulled him close, before he closed the small gap with a kiss.

A kiss that sent another wave of guilt through her, and anxiety through him as it quickly grew rough, and it quickly grew deeper.

“Fucking.. Need you, Amber.”
