Dean's knees almost sagged with relief at seeing his kid brother idly sitting on an uprooted tree trunk in the dark. Sammy's face held all of the innocence of a five-year-old without a care in the world.
A sudden surge of anger washed through his body. "Where have you been all this time?! Dad and I were worried sick!" Despite the clear accusation, the elder brother couldn't quite keep the trembling out of his voice.
"Finally, there you are," Sam exclaimed. He pointed to an oddly shaped object near his feet. "Dad told me to get its measurements and wait."
