Maeve p.o.v
Two days had passed since catching the two men. I kept having dreams about these men. I am laying in bed thinking about what had been happening. I got up from my bed and walked out of my room. I'm the only one here with the other two. Lt. Bridgett told me she was getting someone so she took everyone else with her. I walked to see if the two were awake. When I arrived I noticed the door and cell door open. "Oh fuck me." I muttered as I grabbed a flashlight.
I see the front door open and closed. I hid as I spotted red irises. "You say she hallucinating?"
"Yes but I am only able to effect her dreams. Ghost did a bit of the mental."
"Let's continue with the mental until we can corner her."
"Of course Price"
I booked it further into the base. I heard screams I didn't stop I couldn't stop. I ran to Lt Bridgett office. I manage to reach the office and slam it. I sent a message to her. "Two escape the rest are here. Do not shoot them tranquilize them."
I slide into the vent and closed it. The door open I saw a total of few sets of feet. "She sent a message."
"Konig and Roach go look in the rooms hall. Me and Soap will look here and this area."
"Be safe Ghost."
I swear I saw Ghost with me in the vent. But how he- fuck he messing with me mentally. I moved around a bit and started to crawl. I felt hands but I was to far from the vent opening. "Why run? Let us help you. I know you need this the need to feel the infection take over."
I gasped softly as I felt phantom bites. I almost let out a moan as one phantom bite was in between neck and shoulder. I paused to see Keegan with other three "I can hear her heart beat."
"It sounds wonderful."
"I know Alejandro"
"She in the vents." Soap said as I managed to get out of the vent an ran like a bat out of hell.
This Alejandro slam into the wall as I turned a corner. I gave out a yelp I almost stopped as Ghost appeared in front of me. But, like before it wasn't real. What was fucking real and scary is the fucking speed these beings have. I tripped as I did so I cut my arm. "Fuck!" I spat in pain as I stumbled getting up.
Ghost stopped as he sniffed the air. I saw others join him I backed away but I bumped into somebody. I turned to see one of them "Your injured." He spoked as I realized this is Price.
I booked it once more and this time their not running but I am running out of energy. "I am that dumb chick in horror movie fuck me." I panted as I opened the door.
I went into the room to see no doors and the vents are to small. Shit they knew this was a dead end. I ran and hid in a closet. I watched as they enter the room. Keegan sniffed the air as he growled. Ghost sniffed as he made his way to this area. Price joined him. I silently cursed myself for not covering my wound. I looked to my left in the closet to see Ghost and Price. I fucking spazzed out and fell out of the closet. I looked up to see them staring down at me. Ghost dragged me to the middle of the room. I tried to run for it but Price stopped me. He made me tilt my head "I've love a good hunt." He said as I struggled.
Keegan and the others got closer I stared at Price as Ghost made me turn around. He then picked me up "nice thinking Ghost makes it easier for us all." Price said as he sniffed my neck. Ghost also did same thing as well.
"I-I" I tried to say something as one noticed my arm.
"She losing to much we need to turn her now."
I let out a strangle cry as they bit me almost at once. I felt them let go as I looked dazed. One licked the wound on my arm closed. Ghost laid me down on him as he laid down. I looked to see others joining us with blankets. "You will be seeing things caused by us for a bit. When your team come back.."
"D-Don't hurt them." I whispered as I spasmed.
I passed out as a blanket laid on me. I woke up as I could see somewhat better but I saw people I had killed. I looked around to see everyone but Price asleep. He noticed me awake and beckons me over. I went to him not really knowing why but the dead kept watching me. "They will be gone soon enough. May I see your mouth?" He asked softly as I opened my mouth.
He poured a liquid into my mouth. I swallowed it and licked the bag. My eye lids began to feel heavy once more. "Why?" I whispered.
"We lost you once not again." He said as I passed out.
I dreamt but this time I had killed my team I started to freak out causing me to woke up. I clawed his chest as he held me tightly. "Everything ok?"
"Yes you remember the process." Price said as I hissed as he tried to calm me down.
The beings were still there. I bit Price and once I tasted his blood. I started to drink what I could. "We all do. It was hell... I remember fighting you guys before I got captured."
I let go as Price licked my face. I then see Mavis who looked younger and healthy. She smiled softly as she vanishes with the others. "I'm not her.. I'm my own person." I whispered.
"You look like her and smell like her."
"You sound like her."
"You act like her." Price said as I looked at him.
"I'm fuckin tainted." I said as he smiles.
"So are we." He said as he lean in. I felt his lips touched mine as I kissed back.
I pulled away as we panted. I heard door open I looked at the closed door. "They are here." Soap said as I hissed as lights came on.
"Do not attack them she having them tranquilize us." Ghost ordered.
"You didn't want them to kill us?" Price asked me.
"Didn't deserve it after all you went through." I answered as I felt my control slip.
I lunged for the door as Keegan and Soap try to stop me. I hissed as they avoided my fangs. The door open as I lunged I was hit by something. I gave a yelp and backed away. Ghost had gotten hit before he killed Bridgett. "Remember do not kill them." I passed out as the drug took affect.
