Small person, big bite

Chapter 3: Oh brothers

Chapter Text

The car ride felt like it lasted for hours, and you were starting to sweat. The man turned the heater on in the car, and you being in a stuffy bag and all. It didn’t feel pleasant, it wasn’t unbearable. It just felt like you inhaled the same breath of air over and over, and your clothes started to stick to your skin.

And maybe you were getting a light headache, but whatever.

Alright you lied, it was quite unbearable. You decided to squirm a little, the bag was zipped closed, so you didn’t get far, but maybe you could find an opening and breath through it, your hand sliding against the metal. The same zigzag over and over, until you found the end, where the zipper was. Due to the design, it couldn’t fully close.

Luckily for you, it didn’t snap shut. Like zippers usually do, you pushed against it. The zipper was a little rusty, but you were able to push it open.

But your plan came to a halt, the car suddenly stopped. Making the bag rock, and fall over. You made a small ‘oof’ feeling the wallet slap against your back. But the couple didn’t stop talking, so you were safe.

You squirmed again, feeling extra claustrophobic. The feeling of being stuck was making you freeze up, but you pushed through. And found the zipper again, you stuck your arm out of the bag, and started pushing. Forcing the bag to open, as you clawed your way out. Trying not to inhale sharply, cause it might attract unwanted attention.

You seemed to be placed in the back seat of the car, the man was in the driver's seat, and the woman was in the passenger seat. They seemed to be having a conversation about batteries. How weird.

“They actually feel lighter when they’re empty?” The man asked, raising a brow at his date. The woman nodded. “Yeah, so you’re wrong, energy does have weight.” The man made a small hum in acknowledgement.

You made a small hum in acknowledgment too, what an interesting fact. You hopped off the seat, stumbling a bit, when the car roughly slowed down. But quickly found your footing, and went under the passenger seat. There wasn’t much to do now other than wait, and listen to their conversation. It was somehow quite entertaining listening to the couple squabble about random stuff, i guess being with the person you love makes you able to turn any topic entertaining.

After a few more minutes of endless driving, the car parked. And the woman unbuckled her seat belt, while the man took out his keys. You readied yourself, you wanted to slip out when the woman opened the car door. And you did, as soon as the car door opened, you slipped out. Making the woman yelp.

The man turned concerned to the woman, raising a brow. "What's wrong?” He asked, as you dashed under the car. Hiding yourself. “I saw something scurry past my leg!” She huffed, glaring at the man a bit. “Are you pranking me again??” The asked annoyed.

“Pfft- haha, no!” The man chuckled, making the woman scoff again. Stepping out of the car, her heels clicking against the pavement of the driveway. “That's what you always say when you are!”

The couple walked towards the house after grabbing their belongings, you sighed in relief. You were hoping you wouldn’t be seen, but thanks to the pranking boyfriend, the woman didn’t suspect much. You took a look around, it was a fairly rich looking street, the houses were huge, and gardens were fancy. Definitely a rich people street

Most houses were a lovely eggshell white, but one stood out. A black house, with a dark aura around it, you were almost drawn to it. But you decided against it, you felt quite hungry and tired. The street seemed to be in an excluded area, like in a forest. Which was great, maybe you could find some wild bitties and ask them for shelter.

You ran off the path, towards the woods.

The feeling of the grass against your feet and the songbirds made you feel.. hopeful, you were back in nature. Where you belonged, you looked around. Admiring the scenery, but you were soon cut out of your thoughts. Hearing footsteps, your eyes widened a little, looking around. The footsteps sounded heavy, and rapidly approaching.

You looked around again, and saw an empty hollow log. You didn’t think twice, and bolted in, but as soon as you were in the log. Something snapped, and the exits got blocked off, with white with red glowing pipes of some sort. You quickly pressed your back against the wood. Unsure of all this. You’ve never seen this before, this kind of magic. Most monsters didn’t use magic anymore, because of technology.

The footsteps drew near, through the gaps of the.. pipes?.. bones? Were they bones? Through the gaps there were dark red boots seen, a loud cackle was heard.

“NYEHGEHEH! YOU REALLY THOUGHT YOU COULD ESCAPE ME?” a dark voice asked, as the log got picked up. Making you stumble, you were soon met with a skull. And you glared at the eyes that were staring you down.

“WELL AREN’T YOU JUST A FEISTY LITTLE THING, YOU’LL BE A GREAT PUZZLE TESTER.” The large skeleton put the log under his armpit, and held it like that. He started walking back towards the rich street, you had a feeling this guy was the one that lived in the dark house. He also had this dark aura around him, it made your nose itch.

With the long legs of this guy, it didn’t take long before this guy was at the front door. Opening it roughly, and slamming it shut. “SANS, YOU USELESS SACK OF BONES. IS THE CAGE CLEAN?!”

“mmyup.” Another rough voice answered.

Great, they were gonna put you in a cage. You just managed to escape one, but you’re already getting stuffed in a new one.

“YOU LYING PIECE OF SHIT, IT'S NOT CLEAN AT ALL. THERE ARE STILL BITTY BONES IN THERE.” wait what

‘c’mon boss, it’s decoration. plus they'll know not to step out of line”

“HMM. FEAR DOES DRIVE THEIR SUCCESS RATE.”

the log you were in started shaking, and you were roughly forced into a hamster cage. And not even a proper hamster cage, the small metal kind. There was some hamster bedding, so luckily you didn’t fall too hard.

You immediately noticed the 3 eye lamps on you, two white ones and one red. You backed up a little, hissing at the two. Making the two skeletons chuckle. “they really are feisty”

“CORRECT, THEY ARE PERFECT FOR MY EVIL TRAPS AND PUZZLES.” The bigger brother said proudly, you huffed a little. Taking a look at your surroundings, definitely a hamster cage, and they weren’t kidding. There really were bitty bones in the bedding, how unsanitary and most importantly. Creepy, there wasn’t a little house or something to hide in, they probably didn’t want you to hide.

But there was a hamster wheel, big enough for you. you might be able to use that to your advantage.

“YES, GET COMFORTABLE. LITTLE PEST, YOU HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO IN A BIT. YOU’RE LUCKY YOU’RE ABLE TO REST RIGHT NOW.”

Alright, you had a few minutes to think of an escape plan, noted.

But how.
