Chapter Text
“You know, I have never been this happy.” Trent says, sitting on the sand and enjoying the sunset.
“You mean on the beach?” Bradley asks, smiling at him and happy he got a good time out of his first vacation.
He also thinks the whole thing is perfect. The warm wind, the beautiful sky, the fact that his head is resting on his beloved boyfriend.
Trent shakes his head. “No, I mean… whenever I’m with you.” He says, turning to look at him. Bradley also lifts his gaze to meet his eyes and he smiles, genuinely and with all his heart.
“You make me the happiest too.”
They both share a sweet kiss but Trent ends it with a weird look on his eyes, there is something on his mind. “What’s wrong?”
He bites his lips before talking and looks at his hands. He nervously plays with them until Bradley carefully grabs his hand and caresses it, showing him that everything is okay.
“In October I turn 18…” Trent explains. “Yeah, October 13!” Bradley points out with a smile and a cheer, definitely already planning stuff for the date. Trent smiles and continues. “And I get my miscarriage of justice case.”
Bradley nods, not quite following. “Are you planning something with that money?” He asks.
Trent doubts for a second. “It is enough money to get a house, to live comfortably…” He says, caressing Bradley’s hands. “That’s great!” Bradley cheers and Trent smiles, but he also knows his boyfriend and he knows there's something in his mind.
“And what’s the other option?”
Trent lifts his gaze, amazed that Bradley apparently read his mind. He gets a guilty look. “No, it’s silly…”
“I’m silly and you like me!” Bradley points out, making Trent snort and loosen up a little bit. “Well, it’s… it’s also enough to open a restaurant.”
Bradley looks at him as if there was no doubt. “Then let’s do that!” He says with a huge grin and throwing his arms in the air.
Trent can’t believe his confidence. “Are you kidding? It’s risky as FUCK.” He says, getting hugged tight by Bradley.
“So? It’s your dream!” Bradley cheers, kissing him sweetly. “And I have zero, ZERO doubt that you’ll do amazing!”
Trent hugs him tight, with a mixture of emotions, mostly gratitude and happiness. “That’s a lie.”
Bradley lets go of the hug to look at him with a confused smile.
“You are my dream.”
It takes a few seconds for Bradley to understand what Trent means exactly. At first he just smiles with gratitude and kisses him sweetly, because he feels the same. It is until Trent doesn’t return the hug that he notices his hand in the middle of them both, busy holding a small box.
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?” Bradley yells, at the brink of tears as Trent snickers and opens the box, showing him a simple engagement ring.
“You are a fool.” Trent laughs while battling tears too. “I wanted to marry you anyway, but now you chose a silly restaurant instead of a home.”
Bradley tackles him, kissing him passionately over the sand and laughing while Trent puts the rind in his finger. “Shut up, our restaurant is going to be amazing!”
Trent can’t help the huge grin that shows in his lips before grabbing Bradley from the back of his head and kissing him like there is no tomorrow.
Bradley ends the kiss with a huge smile too. “Besides, wherever we are together, that’s going to be home.” He says, interlocking fingers.
“I love you so much.” Trent says, being covered with kisses by a laughing Bradley.
“I love you too!” Bradley yells, hugging him. “What are you calling the restaurant?”
Trent smiles, kissing his hand with the ring.
“Angel”
