Work Text:

When Izuku first wrote fanfiction, he hadn’t expected much of it. After all, the Hero RPF fandom tag is always filled with content of new or older heroes. So when Izuku had posted his first fanfiction he hadn’t been surprised he hadn’t even gotten 1,000 hits. After all, he had posted it from the home computer, with borderline atrocious writing. Or what would be considered atrocious, since his first fanfic was when he was 6.

It was also no surprise that his fanfic had been an All Might fanfiction. Specifically a fanfiction where All Might comforted Quirkless kids. But he’d digress, and while he was writing for the Hero Fandom he did manage to get Kacchan to help him out.

He also managed to convince his mom that he and Kacchan were only on the computer to watch All Might videos and documentaries. A little lie woven with truth, but one that managed to convince his mom to continue letting them go on the computer.

So when it got bad between them, and everything had seemingly gotten worse. He was surprised that Kacchan even kept beta reading his stories, and even gave some criticism. Of course when he posted these fics online he always credited Kacchan, always at the beginning or at the end notes there would be Kacchan’s account name.

@GreatExplosionMurderGodDynamite

An amazing name, really. One that Kacchan had decided to put as his account name since he created his account. Which they had created, when they were 6. But Kacchan was stubborn, and since most of his fics were beta’d by him. And his eventual growth of his fan-base of his fics. His commenters decided to rename Kacchan 'Dynamite’.

Which at first Kacchan protested, saying his name was ‘amazing,’ and ‘awe-inspiring’. That it shouldn’t be shortened. But now here they were people calling him Dynamite.

But it wasn’t also Kacchan that also got a name change from his commenters. He also got one, which they all just called him ‘Midori’. He didn’t hate it of course, but it was a little. Well you get it, but younger him wanted to be called ‘MidoriMight’ or 'Green Might’, so he wasn’t too surprised he got stuck being called Midori-chan. Or Midori, since after all he did start posting when was young, and it wasn’t a surprise people picked up on that.

But aside from that his writing career was going extremely well, still going strong even if he was a hero in training. And his education progressed, with that so was his writing style and the actual content of his stories. Such as when in the past he would write All Might again helping quirkless kids, or maybe even one or two of All Might being in Yuuei.

But his author notes were often something he enjoyed writing as much as his actual story. He also liked updating people on what he did. Something he didn’t enjoy was blowing up his arms and his limbs, which caused nerve damage. Which in turn impeded the time it takes to update or post stories.

So after he had been done with another story, he had addressed it for the first time. Writing in his authors note.

“ (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞ Sorry for not posting the chapter on time. I’ve been having trouble with my hands and have been going to physical therapy!!! So that’s been subduing some of the pain and’s been helping me recover some more movement 〔´∇`〕and I also haven’t even been attacked by villains this week too!!! but aside from that I should be posting again next week (・ε・`*) … “

Lets just say that his fan-base had gone and done a Shoto.

And that day it apparently spread like wildfire throughout his fan-base that he had either nerve damage, nerve pain or a chronic illness. But either way he wouldn’t find out until Kacchan confronted him a couple days later, asking why people were speculating if he had one or the other.

Which apparently he had to clear that up before people went crazy, so for his next author’s note he had just told people to comment down their concerns in the discord server and he’d try to answer them best he could.

But he wasn’t sure if that was a good idea, since they found out more instead of clearing up the initial issue. But oh well, he was sure Kacchan could help him clear it out sooner or later. Since Kacchan always has been the better one to help people get off his back.

Really all of this because of an author's note. But sooner or later they would get crazier.
