Work Text:
"I have someone I want you to meet." Anna didn't even attempt to hide her devious grin, catching Y/n off guard.
"Oh, come on!" She grumbled annoyed. It seemed like everyone and their sister had been trying to set her up lately.
"No!" Anna stood tall glaring fed up with Y/n's loneliness. One too many breakups and assholes made her give up altogether. "It's been long enough besides I cross my heart hope to die promise that you'll hit it off."
"Fine, but nothing fancy!" Pushing passed Anna with a scowl as her music hit through the tunnels.

She scanned the restaurant half full of people. Anna had only texted her a singular word lilac as if saying anything more would have given her reason to back out of the date. Her eyes finally settled on a nervous man in a dark blue suit & lilac tie.
He kept fidgeting with his phone. Appeared to be mumbling to himself as if he was trying to psych himself up and she found it kind of adorable. When he finally noticed her approaching she stood so quickly that he bumped into the table causing the water glasses to tumble soaking the tablecloth.
"Shit!"
"You alright?" Softly laughing at the color flooding his cheeks.
"No, well maybe, too soon to tell I suppose." A nervous chuckle as he reached out his hand. "Nick."
"Kinda figured that," pointing at his tie. "I'm Y/n." She found it difficult not to smile. He didn't fit the mold of her usual type but perhaps that was the reason her love life had sucked for years.
"Oh I know who you are, I know a lot." Sitting down in his chair, eyes widening realizing he'd said the inside part outloud. "Shit, no that's.... came out all wrong. I swear I'm not a creep."
"It's alright, first date nerves so I won't hold it against you." His embarrassment made her grin, quietly laughing as she patted his arm.
Sitting across from him she couldn't help the feeling of deja vu. For a moment getting lost in his eyes. There was something familiar about them, almost comforting like she'd been under their gaze before.
"Can... can I ask you a weird question?" Leaning in closer locked on his eyes. "Do we .. know each other?"
"This face?!" Shaking his head but his cheeks tinted a rosy hue. "No, you've never seen this face before."
His voice was shaking, a little jittery, but it was warm and friendly. The sound of it made her feel .. relaxed but she couldn't help but get that tingle of deja vu again. That voice, those eyes, she'd seen them before.
"Favorite video game at the moment?" She questioned changing the subject while her brain went into overdrive trying to unscramble that mystery voice.
"Elden Ring, you?" Flashing a teeny smile, subtly relaxing.
"I've been in a long-term committed gaming relationship with World of Warcraft since it dropped." Her nose scrunched, lips offering a sheepish smile.
"Whoa, that's..." Laughing too loudly but the last bit of nervousness seemed to disappear.
"Insane I know."
"Nah, more like dedicated." Pausing only to order as the waiter appeared. "You've really played WoW that long??" His astonishment had her giggling.
"Yup, I love my boomkin and I won't give her up though I do have one of every class on both Alliance and Horde because..." sighing heavily staring at the tablecloth. "I work a lot and don't do anything else really. I'm on the road anywhere from 38 to 48 weeks out of the year. My life is non-stop go go go so gaming is about all I have besides my workmates."
"Me too." He attempted to commiserate if only to make her feel better and get that sadness from her eyes. "So you hang out with wrestlers that's gotta be cool right?"
"Um some of them are like family, super close friends, the rest well.. egotistical assholes." Chuckling to herself.
"Comics, do you like them as well?" He was sweetly adorable and reassuring.
"I do but I haven't read a lot because I have this weird quirk where I like to experience things from the beginning and that's kinda impossible with comics that have been going strong since the 40s."
"Yup, you're insane." His laughter was infectious. "But I kinda like that."
By the end of the date, they were already planning a second and exchanging phone numbers. Saying goodbye outside of the restaurant after walking her to her car. Nick was barely twenty steps away when his cell phone rang.
"Kinda disappointed you didn't try for a kiss goodnight." Her voice singing through the receiver. His disbelief faded with the slow-growing smile as he turned back toward her.
"You sure you got the right number?" His words were full of sarcasm while walking her way.
"Don't have to if you don't want to." Playfully smirking at him.
"Definitely want to." No shame in his eagerness.
Leaning up on tiptoes, fingers curling around his tie. For a first kiss, it was anything but awkward. Gentle and sweet and yet it managed to knock the air from his lungs.
"Can you... do that again?" A low whispered voice with closed eyes and the sweetest smile as he spoke.
"Gladly." It was a different feeling for her, being the one to cause such a sensation in someone. The slowed dance of lips and a head in the clouds sort of feeling.

"Have you told her yet?" Anna pondered as the rest of the Dark Order exerted their excess energies into planning out a segment for BTE.
Uno glanced up from his phone, and the smile he had from texting Y/n faded into a pitiful frown.
"Why, so she can end it all? So she can laugh at me knowing who I really am?" The others paused momentarily at Uno and all his insecurities on full display.
"If you think she'd do that then you don't know her at all!" Anna snapped. The truth should have been told ages ago.
"Nick makes her laugh, he makes her smile." Gesturing his hands around his person. "Evil Uno does none of those. She doesn't look at Uno the same way she does Nick."
"Oh my god, she does too!" However, long-winded Anna's rant would have been it was interrupted by a knock at their locker room door.
Y/n slipped in smiling greeting the craziness that was the Dark Order the moment she stepped foot inside. She didn't have a match that night but she was still decked out in BCC gear. Surrounded by John, Alex & Stu who were giddily explaining their idea involving her in their sketch.
"She's never been happier," Anna whispered beside Uno. "She's dated a lot of assholes like Hager in search of Mr. Right and I know damn well she'd be elated that it's you. Three months is a long time to lie to her about who you really are."
"I hate it when you're right," Uno grumbled. "Wait, Hager?!"
"Hey, why are you so ... smiley lately? John giggled asking Y/n. "Thought you BCC lot were supposed to be all 'grr I'll stab you and lick your blood from my knuckles' all the time?"
"I uh..." smiling too widely, shrugging her shoulders. "Kinda met someone."
"Holy shit, she's getting the D!!" John screamed excitedly surely everyone down both sides of the hallway outside their locker room heard him.
"Silver I will slap you!" Chuckling punching his shoulder. "And no, no D ... yet." Rolling her eyes but she caught sight of a neatly wrapped present in someone's suitcase. It was World of Warcraft wrapping paper that had her entranced and lost in thoughts
"Is he hot?" John winked at Uno across the room. "I bet he's gorgeous with a big package."
"Yeah, he is," her voice trailing off staring at the wrapping paper like it was calling her name.
"Seriously?" Stu grinned at Uno.
"Mhm," she nodded her head but her curiosity getting the better of her. Who else on the roster played WoW besides her? A small part of her thought maybe it was for her but then again she kept her birthday on the down low and only Regal, Anna, and Nick knew. "He's got these eyes, sorta wanna get lost in them forever."
Uno was unusually quiet and that was the second thing that caught her attention.
"New mask? Stepping closer taking a good look at the designs. "I like..."
Pausing her eyes locked on his, her head tilting side to side. Slow realization dawned as her brain unscrambled the owner of the eyes and voice she couldn't stop thinking about. Her pupils were blown wide, mouth slowly parting open but Uno excused himself before she could say a word. He practically ran out of the room slamming the door behind him.
"Uno!? Nick?! She stared bewildered at Anna. "You set .. me up with ... EVIL UNO?!?"
"Uh yeah," Anna attempting to justify her actions. "You're perfect for each other."
"Oh my god!" Groaned surprised, pacing back and forth. "Oh my god!" This time spoke with a tiny smile. "OH, MY GOD!" Jumping up and down screaming happily.
"So you're not pissed?" Anna pondered with a raised eye.
"I'm in love with Uno." A breathy sigh slipped out as she covered her smile with her hands. "I'm in love with him."
"Woah, woah, woah." Silver's arms crossed over his chest. "Are you insane?!"
"Uh guys," Alex watching a fight unfolding on their tv. "We gotta go, now!" Jake Hager was in the ring pummeling Uno.

Evil Uno P.o.v.
He had to get out of that room. She knew, knew it was him and it was only a matter of time before he got the rejection. Before he heard the same overused 'it's not you, it's me' excuse of why it was over. He was headed no in general just some place to wallow in self-pity.
He was convinced that all she'd see was the mask instead of him. He used to think that the mask gave him confidence but somehow with her, it'd become a safety net. What was she thinking now that she knew? Would she still want to see him or would she be like all the others that had come before?
Those masks had been an alter ego for him, the person Nick could never be. People that never gave him the time of day as Nick would shower him with praise while he was masked as Evil Uno.
"Did you see Y/n enter their creepo lair?" Sammy puffed out a pitied laugh.
"Surprised Regal allows her to lower her standards like that associating with those freaks." Parker mused staring at himself in a mirror fixing his hair.
"Only good thing about her was that pussy." Hager and his air of superiority.
Uno saw red and barreled into catering punching Jake square in the nose.
"Shut up!" Shoving Hager in the chest knocking him out of his chair. "Keep her name outta your filthy mouth!"
"You're dead!" Hager bellowed in hot pursuit of Uno.
Their fight carried on through the halls, through the tunnel, and into the ring. Tony Khan just ran with the chaos because the crowd was loving it. Truth be told he was helpless to contain the madness anyhow because he wouldn't dare interfere in J.A.S.'s business.
"You think she'd fuck some loser like you?!" Jake roared
"I'd be a major step up from the likes of you!" Uno trying and failing to take out Jake. Hitting him was like punching a brick wall that hit back with a vengeance.
Every inch of Uno ached in pain, a far cry from the practiced wrestling moves he'd done for years. Hager had MMA on his side. Knocked to the ground after a flurry of punches, the spotlights above the ring blinding. The voice of the rest of the Jericho Appreciation Society egging Jake on.
One second Hager stood towering over Uno, a giant booted foot careening towards his face when Jake went flying across the ring into the turnbuckles. Y/n stood over Uno in a stance like a mother bear, snarling, baring her teeth at Hager and the rest of J.A.S. daring a motherfucker to try.
Hager slowly gets to his feet calling her a stupid bitch. Standing above her seething in rage. They looked like David and Goliath to the crowd. She growled, deep from within her chest, a sound that rumbled and carried without a microphone. It was a sound that sent a shiver down the spine of those in earshot.
"Back off!' Planting her feet and squaring her shoulders ready to fight.
"Dumb bitch. You wanna get your ass beat for him!?"
"I'll beat your ass for him!" Snarling like a caged animal.
The rest of the Dark Order rushed through one tunnel while the BCC boys and Regal stomped through the other stalking after the members of J.A.S. circling the ring. Regal was even ready, brass knuckles slung over his fingers.
A sound akin to a low roar emanated from her. The echo of the backhanded slap rang throughout the air. Hager stumbled backward and she advanced. The roar changed to a furied scream. Step after step chasing after Hager, she was crazed, pouncing on him and sending him flying landing on his back.
She punched him over and over. Every time Jake tried to counter she was ready as if she was taking out all her repressed anger and frustrations on him. She kept going long after she'd knocked him out cold when arms pull her away. Moxley hefted her up while she continued swinging, trying to kick at Jake.
Flaying like a wildcat, hissing, and spitting, the need to keep fighting not fed enough. Mox chuckled the whole time enjoying the chaos. The members of J.A.S. were sent running from the arena by Claudio, Yuta, Bryan, and Dark Order.
"Didn't you learn anything from Punk's little shitshow?" Mox hissed through clenched teeth in her ear. "Keep this shit backstage away from cameras."
Jon tossed her over the ropes to an awaiting Claudio who carried her under his arm backstage.
They were hardly through the curtains backstage before the disappointed gaze of Regal was too much to bare. Claudio sent her down with an amused smirk.
"I'm not sorry." She spat blood on the concrete but the way Mr. Regal looked at her like a disgruntled parent. "That tiny pricked douche canoe deserved it!"
"This is my fault," Uno spoke up from behind them. "That sorry piece of.." glancing at Regal. "Don't blame her, it's all my fault."
"Very well," motioning the rest of BCC to follow along.
Claudio placed a hand on her shoulder and Uno's patted them both offering a toothy grin. Wheeler smirked at the two of them. Bryan shook his head, his smile partially covered by sweaty strands of hair while attempting to usher the rest of the Dark Order away, only Mox straggled behind.
"That was one hell of a fight," leaning in whispering for her ears only. "I think he's worth it though." Moxley stared down at Uno for a second before walking away snickering.
The silence between them was deafening. Quick glances at each other only to look away.
"Are you upset?" Both posed the question at the same time.
Nervous laughter filled the air between them but all seemed to do was stare at each other unsure. His fingers shakily unzipped his mask, slowly pulling it off with a sheepish smile.
"This is... I didn't mean ... it's okay if you don't wanna ya know." Turning to walk away before she could give him that look he feared.
"Why are you so frustratingly adorable?" Her voice was soft but the tone was curt.
"Stop." Pausing, dropping his head to his chest. "Stop making me think I'm something I'm not."
"Something you're not?! Nick, I wasn't lying when I said you were hot. Sexiness isn't just muscles it's... it's making a woman laugh. Making her feel valued, seen, and heard, that she'd not a second choice or a backup plan. It's showing her that she's important enough to warrant your time and energy."
"Yeah?" Peering at her over his shoulder.
"Mhm," inching closer with a meek smile. "You underestimate just how handsome you are. How irresistible that laugh is, but oh," chest to chest pressing him against the wall. "Damn those eyes." Her palm was on his chest, biting her bottom lip. "Those eyes make me wanna sin."
"M-me!?" The blushing blooming up his neck, along his cheeks.
"I struggle to behave myself thinking about those eyes."
"I'll sin with you then." Smashing his lips to her, not timid or shy but putting everything he felt into that kiss.
