Chapter Text
Later, much later, Lucy slowly slips out of his (their) bed and out of his warm arms, leaving a spent and sleeping Tim, to venture out into his (their) kitchen to gather and reheat their food from earlier.
Microwaved food is never as good as fresh food but it was worth it, Lucy thinks with a smile and a bite of her lip just as the memory of the last couple hours starts to wash over her.
Skin on skin.
Tender, ardent, and electrifying touches.
Both passion and adoration in every moment and movement.
Whispers of forever and devotion between each kiss and caress.
The sound of the microwave going off breaks Lucy out of her delightful and thrilling daze just as Tim comes out of his (their) bedroom, running his hand over his face to rub the sleep from his eyes.
“Where’d you go? I don’t like waking up without you,” he tells her as he walks up behind her to pull her to him and wrap his arms around her middle.
Lucy blushes and smiles in his warm hold as she goes to turn in his arms, hooking her arms around his neck as she goes to place a kiss to the side of his mouth.
Me either,” she tells him with a knowing smile, “Just went to get some food for us. I reheated our dinner.”
“We did work up our appetite, after all,” she finishes as she looks up at him with a look of hers that Tim is sure will never fail to thrill him.
“That we did,” he answers her back just as he goes to place a kiss to her temple, “Thank you,” he tells her simply before nervously continuing “For the food, I mean.”
Lucy’s laughter at his words boom through the house like a joyful symphony, the sound bouncing off each surface with a melody that sounds like hope, happiness, and their future.
It is a sound that Tim could get used to.
It is a sound that Tim somehow knows he will get used to.
They both know that this is forever.
“Dinner and movie in bed?” Lucy asks him with a smile that she knows he can’t resist.
“That smile is entirely way too effective… and dangerous,” he tells her with a shake of his head and a laugh, “Dinner in bed? Fine. You win.”
Lucy lets out a small sound of joy at her victory as she then stands on the tip of her toes to give him a quick kiss on his cheek.
The things he would do for her, he thinks warmly as he watches the enthusiasm form on her face.
His bemusement and adoration continue for the woman he knows he will marry one day, a wide smile forming on his face as he watches her slip from his embrace to gather their food.
She passes him by with an armful of their food and a certain captivating glint in her warm and mesmerizing brown eyes.
“Bring the bottle of red, please,” she tells him as she leaves him in the kitchen and heads on her way to his (their) room.
God, he loves her so damn much.
There will be a ring.
He will propose and she will say yes.
There will be a wedding and they will both say I do.
There will be children.
They know that they will have their forever.
“You coming?” Lucy asks him after a moment, her voice drifting in from his (their) bedroom, breaking Tim from his thoughts.
Yes, he thinks with a small smile.
He would follow her anywhere.
A fact he would deny to anyone who asked.
But he could never deny her or the power she has over him.
He would follow her anywhere.
And he can’t wait.
“Coming,” he answers her as he goes to retrieve the bottle of red wine before heading toward his (their) bedroom.
She is his forever.
And he would follow her anywhere.
