Alright. So, I really did want to complete this fic, but as I make it to the plottier parts of this story I'm realising that my storyline really doesn't make sense. I started this fic when I was on my way out of the DSMP fandom, and began posting when I hadn't really fleshed out the story as much as I should have, even knowing that I tend to have very on-off inspiration and a tendency towards more one-shot length stories. Its not fair to any of you to have to wait months and months between half-hearted updates that will likely get shoddier as time goes on, seeing as I don't really interact with the DSMP fandom anymore, so I've decided to leave this work unfinished. What there is of this fic will remain up, and I've left what ideas I had for the rest of this fic down below for anybody who's interested. I apologize to those of you who were looking forward to seeing more updates, but I would rather give you all the best quality I can, which I know I wont be able to produce for a fandom I'm no longer in. I will be adding the 'abandoned-unfinished' tag to this fic, and labeling as abandoned in the title.

Remaining story idea's and plot points
Phil wants to rule forever, but even though he has Kristin his body still ages. To solve this, Phil digs up a body and necromancies it though kristin powers into a Phantom (Wilbur) that he glamours to look human. (This wears off slowly after The Lads leave and Phil isn't there to refresh it, that's how Wilbur finds out) He plans to use this undead to be his 'heir', and once it's time for it to get on the throne he'll take over its body and continue to rule without anyone knowing what he did (he's done this dozens of times, the body he currently has just looks similar to the OG body). Human wills are too strong for Phil to completely overtake, so he has to use an undead. Wilbur doesn't even know he's undead. (His memories were wiped when he got revived). This is slowly driving Phil insane (not that he notices). Wilbur was originally from the L'manburg era, and he was hunted down by Phil during the L'manburg takeover. His father was a soldier, and his mother was a musician who taught him everything he knew.
L'manburg was originally ruled by some dude, and when emerald duo tried to take it over there was a draft that killed wilbur's dad. Eventually the dude surrendered, which did not sit well with wil who started a revolution and eventually
-Emerald duo begin 'emancipating' L'manburg, wilbur is young at this point, and loses his dad when the guy is caught in the draft.
-When Wilbur is 17 the president of L'manburg meets with phil and attempts to publicly declare indipendance, phil kills him
-whats left of L'manburg still tries to fight, with Wilbur leading the revolution. They last 10 years
-the fall of l'manburg makes techno realise that phil is bad and he leaves to go mope in his cave
-phil eventually has to stop expanding bc Essempi is cracked and he no longer has Technosupport, and techno is with essempi now
-in an attempt to become strong enough to continue his takeover, he traps the death goddess (Kristin) in his necklace and proceeds to body hop for a handful of generations.
-Clara eventually realises something is up, and sneaks into the castle to try and free kristin (her sister), and gets into phil's bed in an attempt to get him while he's vulnerable. Phil has her carted away by guards (Punz & Purpled) and threatened with secrecy before she can actually kill him. She can't just smite him bc if phil has enough of kristins power to kill her, and if she dies kristin will flip and byebye world
-Tommy is the resulting child, so child-hiding speedrun time.
-Tommy can see magic because of his parentage (suppressed so Phil doesn’t find him) although he doesn’t know it.
-wilbur happens
-phil realises something is up when he notices tommy's magic-ish vibes so he sends him away with purpled and punz to be executed, but they magic the cell with clara's help and make Tommy look like somebody else.
-Surprise, Punz and Purpled are actually Kristin worshippers and are trying to save her too. (how they know this, a plot-hole I failed to fill) They got into the castle via getting arrested, but once Phil saw their skills as bodyguards/assassins he offered them a deal/threat so now they're palace guards.

Wilbur was going to slowly regain his memories over time, becoming more and more phantom-like in the process. Ranboo was a dragon that was being taken care of by Eret, and Schlatt was also a dragon who was taking care of Tubbo. Never decided what Tubbo was.
Techno fed Tommy a slice of god apple when he found his barely alive body (after incinerating the hunters), so Tommy was going to survive bc of his godly parentage and wake up eventually with some magic upgrades.
Wilbur and co. would spend a good few years traveling on a goosechase looking for Tommy, and after a time-skip they would meet up, wilbur wouldn't recognise tommy but tommy would recognise him (he'd be awake for a few years by now, and 17-18).
They would eventually invade the empire with the help of some other characters and kill phil, crowning wilbur emperor.
CH11 You and The LadsTM Escaping Prison at 3AM Be Like:
-Turns out they were the prisoners who taught Tommy most of the things he knows, and they saw through the illusion because of “her majesty” (Kristen). They are now guards bc they took a plea deal with phil (secretly its to free kristen)
-They help the LadsTM escape, but get caught by some other guards. Tubbo takes a punch to the nose, fucking up his sense of smell temporarily
-they make it out completely, and now they’re on a mission to find Tommy without the slightest clue where he actually is except purpled’s mention of the sacrifice rock.
-they get there and don't see anything but old blood and a few massive fucking footprints (surprise its techno’s)
-Wilbur refuses to believe that Tommy is dead, and Ranboo looks into the memory of the blood and sees a piece of the interaction between technoblade and tommy (techno’s landing and human transformation)
-he is fucking terrified by that and faints
-Tubbo suggests they go to see his dad (schlatt), A) to assure him his son is, in fact, alive, B) to let ranboo heal up a little, and C) to ask about Tommy
C12 The Aforementioned Blood God: An Interlude
- Sam POV
- Up the mountain he goes to visit Techno (Dream team [who had visited] had to leave bc gogy is king and all)
- Techno has been hibernating all depressed like curled around Tommy.
- He has to wake up Techno and coax him into letting him see Tommy
- He checks that Tommy is doing fine, Techno has been sustaining him with his own energy (unknowingly imbuing him with his magic)
- Sam promises to take care of tommy and manages to get techno to clean himself up
- Techno goes back to sleep
C13 Dads Against Posh-ass Princes
- They make it most of the way there before Eret stops them
- Eret listens to them a little bit, but doesn’t recognise them because of the lingering illusion making them smell like death and the fact that tubbo isn’t usually in his human form, so he thinks they're kidnapping his kid (ranboo)
- They’re about to fucking wreck The Lads until Schlatt shows up and wilbur faints
- He wakes back up in a cave with tubbo standing over him fully healed
- He gets explained that tubbo is a half dragon half nature spirit so his powers are valuable, making him stay inside unless he sneaks out with ranboo (which is when they got caught for stealing & vandalism)
- He leads wilbur out of his little room to meet schlatt and eret
- Eret explains that ranboo was an enderian boy who was cursed to become a dragon so his abilities are really wonky and awkward. Eret took him in because to the black market ranboo is pure gold, and he also apologizes for attacking them.
- Just then ranboo wakes up and frantically explains what he saw in the memory thingy
- Tubbo is equally terrified, schlatt is shocked techno didn’t kill tommy on sight but eret calms them down a little by explaining that techno doesn’t play with their food and is actually pretty chill, so if he took tommy then they're probably still alive.
- Wilbur wants to know where he lives, but techno is private as hell and so they only know he lives in the mountains to the south
- They get stocked up by schlatt and head just generally south, with the suggestion they go see Quackity in Las Nevadas since he knows everyone
C14 We’re Going On a Trip, With an Oreo, Goat, and Prince Trying Noooot To Die-
- Wanted posters are up by now, and Wilbur is rough enough at this point he doesn’t need much of a disguise but he does have a beanie and a coat
- (It's the L’manburg jacket) he found it at a thrift store they were looking in for disguises and felt a connection to it (it was his real father's)
- The Lads stop at a town, they’re too tired to find the odd jobs they had been finding for cash, but wilbur sees a guitar in a store and gets an idea
- BARD TIME
- They get a room for the night and head off in the morning
