Work Text:
Min checked the time on her phone 11:45 PM. It was way past her bedtime, but she didn't care. She had promised Diya that she would visit her tonight, and she wasn't going to let her parents' rules stop her. so she tiptoed to the window and carefully opened it.
She looked outside to check that no one was around. The coast was clear, she quietly climbed out and jumped landing softly on the grass below.
she made her way to Diya's house, keeping to the shadows to avoid being seen. when she reached Diya's window, she tapped gently on the glass. a few moments later, the window slid open, revealing Diya's smilling face.
"Hey, you made it," Diya whispered, reaching out to effortlessly pull Min inside. "I'm glad you're here."
The two girls settled onto Diya's bed, talking softly and laughing together. They talked about school, baseball and anything else that came to their minds.
Min checked the time on her phone 2:03AM. She knew she should probably head back home before her parents noticed she was missing, but she couldn't bear the thought of leaving Diya alone. So, she made the decision to stay.
They talked for a little while longer, but soon Min noticed that Diya's eyes were starting to droop. She knew she had to do something to help her sleep.
"Here, let me," she said, wrapping her arms around Diya and holding her close, despite their size difference, they made it work. She could feel Diya relax in her embrace, and soon her breathing became slow and steady.
Min stayed like that for hours, listening to the sound of Diya's breathing and feeling the warmth of her body against hers. It was a feeling unlike anything else, and she knew she never wanted it to end.
But eventually, the sun began to rise, and Min knew she had to go. She gently extracted herself from Diya's embrace, careful not to wake her, and slipped out of the window to walk home.
