Work Text:
The kid was tucked in. Good. Pigsy had been holding back for weeks, he tried quitting. But he couldn't. He held back for the kid. But here he sat, sleeves up, box cutter out, and a few bloody cute dripping onto the carpet. He just seemed to stare at them. He had stopped crying when he did these things years ago.
He started doing it in High-school then he started again once his mother passed away. He just watched as he quickly dragged it across. He sighed as he did so. He knew this would have repercussions. Sandy was an example of that. But he didn't care. He couldn't find a reason to stop.

Pigsy head immediately lifted. Standing there in a long white t-shirt, a monkey king plush, and an innocent face was Mk. He stared at Pigsy. Pigsy stared back. He didn't know what to do. What to say.
Mk looked at the box cutter, his arm, and back at Pigsy.
"Mr. Pigsy?" He whispered almost scared of walking into the dark room that was now only lit thanks to the door being open.
"K-Kid! Sorry, you shouldn't have to see this. I, uh, cut myself trying to something open." He got up and started putting the cutter away, turning his back to Mk. "Nothing to worry about really-"
He felt arms around his waist and something pressed into his stomach. It was Mk.
"I'm sorry..." Mk whispered hugging Pigsy tightly.
"For what?"
"...I'm why you did it, right? I-I know I can be a lot and I cry a lot over stupid things like loud things or itchy clothes..."
No, no, no, Great sage no.
"Hey, no, you listen to me...I...You're right, I did this to myself on purpose, but hey, this?" He moved Mk slightly so he could see what he was gesturing to "This is not your fault. I would never do this because of you. You can't control those things. I know you don't understand why you act the way you do but it's not and never will be your fault. Crying over loud noises, itchy clothes, it doesn't matter...I don't care if you do those things. Don't blame yourself for this. I'm sorry you even had to see this..."
Pigsys voice cracked and he held in a cry.
Mk only seemed to stare before nodding and hugging Pigsy again. The white shirt caught a bit of blood.
"Wo-Woah kid...Your shirt-"
"I don't care about it...I just want to hold you." Mk said, Pigsy sighed and smiled before quickly picking Mk up. He sat back down with Mk in his arms and hugged him tight. He'd spend the rest of his life making this up to Mk. The kid was everything to him and he made the kid think he was a bother. But the truth is Mk was everything but a bother. He kept Pigsy busy, he was the reason Pigsy held off from this for weeks.
After hugging he and Mk both doctored his arm. Mk dressed it up in Monkey king band-aids.
"Monkey king band-aids fix everything!" He squealed placing them neatly on to which Pigsy laughed.
"They sure do, kid"
Pigsy knew that wasn't what fixed everything...It was Mk that fixed everything for him.
