Chapter Text

Sausage carried her body to her land, it had finally stopped burning. Everything was gone from Pearl’s sunflower and crop fields to her barns it was all gone. The only thing left was her castle on the beanstalk and now that Pearl was gone it had begun to wither away causing the bits of castle built into it to fall to the ground. Golden Helianthia was reduced to rubble and Pearl was gone. Sausage made her a grave on her lands, gently placing the ruler into it. He placed a sunflower that Pearl had given him a while ago on top of her grave. He stood there for a while trying to find something to say but he couldn’t think of anything. He couldn't think of anything besides that this was his fault. He wasn’t strong enough to fix everything he broke. Everything he promised he would fix, he did nothing about. Pearl would know what to say to get him to find something to say, but Pearl is gone. Pearl was gone and it was his fault.

Eventually, Sausage walked away from the grave and started walking around the remains of Pearl’s kingdom. Eventually coming across a part of the land that had been cracked open revealing the corruption beneath the surface. In that moment, Sausage realized that he wasn’t strong enough to fix this but who he was when he had Xornoth’s power was so much stronger. He might not be strong enough, but with that kind of power, he may yet be.

Sausage stood in the summoning circle. “One last summoning circle will fix everything. A gem crystal, my whole book of spells, and two blood sheep sacrifices. All hail the blood sheep. We need to fix this. This is the only way. I will do anything to get her back.” Sausage thought as the spell began to leave his lips.

The sky began to open, thunder rang through the air as a lightning strike hit the center of the circle bringing Dark Sausage right in front of him as the summoning circle began to fall apart. “I need her back. No matter what, and right now that means you.” Sausage said as he stabbed a smiling Dark Sausage with his staff. The darker half's body melted into some form of red energy running down the staff and into Sausage. Now it was Sausage laughing as he ran off the summoning circle platform and then turned to watch it crumble, his eyes donning a color of red that had become so unfamiliar but was now ultimately necessary for the cause. His laughter stopped as he turned away from the circle and headed for the dark tower with a smile as he muttered something in a voice that wasn’t quite Sausage’s, “Whatever it takes to bring her back”.
