Work Text:
“Muirne,” Seliph called.
“Seliph?” She noticed that her lord - her lover - was holding something behind his back. “What are you hiding?”
He took out a bouquet of flowers. “Ta-da!”
Muirne took the bouquet from him. It had sweet-smelling flowers in various shades of purple and brown. “It’s so beautiful,” she said. “I didn’t think you were a flower person. How did you get these?”
Seliph flashed a sheepish grin. “Nothing much,” he said. “Julia was there too.”
Julia happened to be in Belhalla’s flower garden when Seliph came looking for flowers. She, too, wanted to give flowers to her beloved. While she was there, she gave Seliph advice on what flowers to pick - after all, she was taught by her mother how to cultivate the flowers.
“I think she helped you get the flowers,” Muirne smirked.
Seliph flashed a sheepish grin. “Indeed,” he said. “But I hope you like them all the same.”
Then Muirne jumped into Seliph’s arms, almost crushing him with her hug.
“Hey!”
“Lord Seliph, you care too much about me.”
He chuckled. “There’s no such thing as ‘too much’ when it concerns our future Queen.”
Muirne pecked him on the cheek. “Our future Emperor’s too kind.”
