Chapter Text

"I'll take that as a yes." Once Minhyun had successfully bury his entire member in, he paused. "I'm in."

Baekho's eyes opened in shock. "The whole thing??"

"Yeah."

"Holy crap." Baekho looked down but couldn't really see much, just mostly himself and Minhyun's torso that seemed legitimately connected to him. He wasn't sure whether to feel embarrassed or delighted because his body was more hot and bothered. Baekho breathed out and he could definitely feel the slight pulsating happening. He gulped and nodded. "Okay. Okay. I can do this."

"Alright. I'm going to move then."

"Wa-" Before Baekho could stop Minhyun, the fox spirit had started pulling out and Baekho found himself being rendered speechless again. "Aah... Minhyun." Minhyun shoved himself back in, sending sparks behind Baekho's eyes. He went at a slower speed but quickly picked up once he had the rhythm. Baekho's moans only got louder and louder especially when Minhyun hit the right angle, using his tails to adjust the right position to give Baekho the ultimate pleasure. Minhyun let out airy gasps as he felt the pressure building in his own stomach.

"Baekho... Ah... Why didn't I do this earlier?" Minhyun gasped and let out a broken chuckle as he went faster. They both weren't sure when it happened but Baekho's hands had managed to find their way onto Minhyun's back again, clawing against it. Minhyun pushed his hair to the back and stared at the moaning mess under him. As if the feeling itself wasn't enough, looking at a pleasured Baekho had just gave him the final push over the edge. Minhyun moaned softly as he released, suddenly realising he had totally got too caught up in the moment to wear a condom. Baekho came in a split second after him, moaning Minhyun's name out in that delirious tone. Minhyun pursed his lips as Baekho went limp, hands dropping to the side. Baekho looked at Minhyun and noticed the slight frown that had burrowed its way between his eyebrows.

"What's wrong?" Baekho panted, wondering if Minhyun wasn't satisfied.

"I forgot to wear a condom," Minhyun coughed awkwardly and Baekho's already red cheeks turned crimson.

"Holy- You... We..."

"Yeah." Minhyun rubbed his sweat away and took a deep breath. "Sorry?"

Baekho could only laugh. "I thought I was terrible or something. Don't frighten me like that!"

"No way! You were amazing. The best... Bottom? I've ever slept with," Minhyun squeaked, removing all his tails and himself from Baekho. Baekho groaned and wrapped his legs around Minhyun, pulling the fox spirit over to himself. Minhyun collapsed onto the bed beside Baekho and giggled, kissing his face all over. "I love you so much!"

"Mmm... I love you too. So much that I literally gave my ass to you," Baekho said jokingly and claimed Minhyun's lips. Minhyun giggled behind the kiss and pulled his cheeks closer.

"And I just love it," Minhyun mumbled against Baekho's lips while cupping Baekho's butt in his hands, making the other groan when he could feel something causing him discomfort. Probably both the pain and the residue of their little activity.

"I should definitely clean up," Baekho said.

"I'll help."

###

The following days were filled with cardboard boxes and trips to and fro the cafe. Baekho cleared up the last of his items that were to be dropped off at the cafe. It felt weird to suddenly shift out and into a completely new environment since he had never actually been to the home part of Minhyun's cafe. It was nothing like his own. It was clean and neat, everything was just tucked away at its own little spot. It made his boxes look out of place but Minhyun didn't mind. He helped Baekho settle in and they even face timed Baekho's mother to tell her about his shift. She didn't mind it at all and an unsuspecting Hyungwon popped up behind her with a smile, waving to them.

College seemed to go by in a flash after that. Every day he would come back and help Minhyun out if he didn't have assignments to work on. On days off, they would go on dates or just chill and play games. His friends still had a bit of a difficulty getting accustomed to Minhyun being Baekho's boyfriend since they seemed like they were worlds apart. Not to mention they still didn't really trust Minhyun but Baekho didn't really mind since he was the one dating Minhyun and not them.

After college, he found a job nearby and Minhyun dropped him off until he actually passed his driving license. The fox spirit was still worried about Baekho going off to work by himself but Baekho made sure to always send him a text message whenever he arrived or when he was about to leave to lessen his worry. He still helped out at the cafe but only on Sundays since Saturday was a day off after all.

After 3 years of being together, they earned enough to shift into a proper house fit for the two of them. Minhyun didn't want to at first but Baekho convinced him that he needed his own studio. That way he would be able to work from home too since Minhyun was ready to pass the cafe on as well. A few more assuring and talks later, Minhyun finally caved in and they shifted to an apartment that fit both their tastes.

Another 2 years later, Baekho finally found the courage to ask Minhyun for his hand in marriage. He had brought Minhyun back to his hometown with the excuse that they had made a promise to go back too. Minhyun just followed gladly since he just wanted to be by Baekho's side all the time. They spent time with Baekho's family and Hyungwon along with Tigger. Separately of course. Then when it was about time, Baekho cycled into the forest. Minhyun just thought they were going to fulfill their promise as Baekho led him to the highest point. He stretched his long limbs out and smiled.

"Wow... Can you imagine? It's been years since we first came here together," Minhyun said and Baekho nodded.

"It's still hard to believe so much happened in just those three weeks."

"It was crazy," Minhyun chuckled and Baekho let go of Minhyun's hand to the other's confusion. Baekho got down on one knee and Minhyun's eyes literally opened up. "What is this?"

"Something as crazy as those three weeks and the past 5 years?"

Minhyun gasped as Baekho pulled out a ring and smiled. Tears were already building up in Minhyun's eyes. "You... Sly fox."

"Fancy you calling me that," Baekho chuckled before he cleared his throat and held Minhyun's hand. "Will you-"

"Yes!"

"Minhyun."

"I'm sorry."

"Will you marry me?" Baekho asked and chuckled. Minhyun bounced a little as he nodded.

"Yes. Yes, I will. Yes please." Minhyun didn't even wait for Baekho to stand up after he slid the ring on. He just crashed their lips together, his spirit form popped out in excitement. Glowing softly. Baekho had found out that Minhyun actually did glow when he reached a certain extent of emotional state and that it was nothing worrisome at all. He returned the kiss and slowly stood up, holding Minhyun by his waist. Minhyun parted slowly and smiled.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

The wedding was needless to say, spectacular. Everything was perfect and they invited people from both realms. Even Kyume got to attend with the help from the guardian spirits. Of course the spirits had to take on human forms so they didn't freak the others out.

"I promise to be your loving husband until my very last breath," Baekho said determinedly. "And with this, I've fulfilled my promise to be your wife too."

"You silly little sunshine," Minhyun giggled and tapped Baekho on the nose. "And I promise to be by your side until your very last breath."

Baekho leaned in until their foreheads touched and in a whisper, he said, "It's a promise."

"Yes. Promise."

Every moment after that was like a dream. Even when work got hectic, they had each other to support one another. At some point, Minhyun had handed his cafe over to his apprentices and Baekho had earned enough for them to go on long vacations together. They spent years travelling the world. Both the human realm and spirit realm. Nothing held them back and there was no need for them to worry about anything else as long as they had each other.

This was their life.

"Do you still remember our promise?" Baekho spoke softly while laying down on Minhyun's lap. His hair now white and his body unlike before. Minhyun gently ran his fingers through Baekho's hair.

"I will never forget even a moment," Minhyun replied.

"You really don't age, huh."

"Don't flatter me," Minhyun chuckled. "You still look handsome even with all your wrinkles and white hair." Minhyun gently kissed Baekho's forehead. Baekho let out a weak laugh followed by a short cough. Minhyun pursed his lips and continued patting Baekho's hair.

"Is it almost time?" Baekho asked.

"Yes. Any time now. Do you have anymore regrets? Now is the time to tell me," Minhyun said.

"Mmm... No. I've had the best years of my life ever since I met you," Baekho sighed while taking hold of Minhyun's hand with his shaky ones. "I love you and I would do it all again if it's to be with you."

"How cheesy. I love you too." Minhyun brought up his shirt sleeve to wipe away the tears.

"You promised not to cry."

"I know. But I can't help it."

Baekho reached up and wiped away Minhyun's tears. "You're going to get struck by lightning."

Minhyun laughed and nodded. Minhyun gripped Baekho's hand tightly. "That didn't kill me the last time it happened."

"It didn't..." Baekho's eyes took Minhyun's features in one last time before they slowly close. Minhyun wanted to tell him not to go to sleep but he knew it was time. He kissed Baekho on the lips and smiled.

"I love you."

"I love you t..."

Minhyun's tears spilled again as he smiled, sitting up and looking at the sky. He turned to find Tigger walking over to them, laying down beside Baekho and him. He let out a soft low growl and Minhyun nodded.

"I know. Its time for me to go too," Minhyun said softly as he looked down at his hand that still held Baekho's. It was starting to turn transparent and Baekho's hand slipped right through. "It's been wonderful. Do you think I'll meet him again in my next life, Tigger?"

Tigger let out a soft cry and Minhyun chuckled.

"Right... As long as we are meant for each other, we will always meet again."

Minhyun vanished, leaving behind only his clothes. Tigger stood up and lifted Baekho onto his back along with Minhyun's clothes before he jumped back into the spirit realm.

"I AM LATE! HOLY-"

The 15 year old boy rushed out of his home, forgetting to greet his parents goodbye as he ran down the street to get to his school. He dodged the other people who were clogging up the streets and yelled out excuse mes as he ran past them, trying to get to school on time. If only he hadn't stayed up all night playing games, maybe he didn't have to be rushing right now. He stopped at a traffic light and bounced uncontrollably. Just as the light turned green and he was about to pass, he bumped right into someone else who had earphones plugged into his ears and the books in his hand fell out. Baekho gasped as he turned back and quickly helped pick up the books.

"I'm so sorry!" He said as he gathered the books. He held it out to the male who looked at him. They were wearing the same school shirt. Their eyes met and time seemed to freeze for them momentarily. Baekho found himself stunned as he watched the other pulled out one ear bud.

"Have we met before?" The voice that left the other's lips echoed in Baekho's head, pulling him back into reality. Baekho cleared his throat and shrugged.

"Maybe? We are wearing the same school clothes. We are totally late too!"

"Right." The two started running to school and burst through the school gates just as the bell rang. They smiled at each other and felt their hearts thump.

What was this feeling?

Baekho held his hand out and smiled. "My name is Baekho. Nice to meet you, schoolmate."

"Hwang Minhyun. Pleasure is all mine."

As their hands connected, memories seemed to pass in fleeting moments. They didn't know what it was but it was peaceful and calming instead of alarming and shocking. They pulled away after the shake and left for their own classes.

"See you around, Minhyun!"

"You too, Baekho."
