Work Text:
“Xiao, is there anything else you wanna do?” Paimon asked, turning to the adeptus. “We could take you on a tour of Liyue Harbour!”
Lumine didn’t think she’d ever felt more grateful for Paimon than in that moment, and happiness swelled inside her at the thought of getting to spend even more time with Xiao.
But it was quickly extinguished with his next words.
“No need,” he said. “I’ve stayed here for much longer than I had expected,” his gaze flickered to Lumine, his eyes soft. “The city lights are a fine sight… but it’s time for me to leave. The events of today occurred so abruptly. I appreciate your kindness.”
And despite Lumine’s disappointment, she knew that Xiao had duties and responsibilities to attend to. She was just being greedy, and it had been a wonderful evening, regardless. She smiled at him. “The feeling’s mutual. You don’t have to thank me everytime.”
“Okay,” Xiao replied, turning to go. “I’ll…” but then he paused, his eyes on Lumine, and she got the strange feeling that there was more he wanted to say. But then he cleared his throat and drew himself up a little straighter. “I’ll see you next time, then.”
He took a step back and Lumine watched with Paimon as Xiao disappeared in a haze of green light and dark shadows. And even though the bustling streets of Liyue Harbour were still lit up by hundreds of lanterns, Lumine couldn’t help but feel as though some of the light had gone from the evening.
Paimon yawned, stretching her tiny arms above her head.
“Time for bed?” Lumine asked.
“Yes please!” Paimon replied, sounding relieved.
They set off down the busy street together, and a group of children rushed past, shrieking with laughter and holding their bright kites aloft, and Lumine could smell the spices and fried meats from the rows of colourful stalls. It should have been a pleasant walk, but she was no longer in the mood to appreciate the beauty of the harbour tonight.
Since the two of them were Hu Tao’s guests, the 77th Director had reserved rooms for them in a cosy inn that overlooked the docks. Once they arrived, a kindly-faced innkeeper greeted them and handed over their keys before directing them upstairs.
“That was kind of a crazy evening,” Paimon said as they walked along the corridor.
“It was,” Lumine agreed. “I’d never have guessed that Venti would show up.”
Paimon giggled. “It was pretty funny watching him ‘introduce himself’ to Zhongli,” she paused. “And Hu Tao even managed to convince Xiao to come along!”
Lumine felt traitorous heat rush to her cheeks at the mention of his name, and simply made a noise of vague agreement in the hope that Paimon wouldn’t notice her reaction.
“And the food was incredible,” Paimon said, apparently noticing nothing, floating along on her back as they made their way up the second flight of narrow wooden stairs. “Xiangling really outdid herself this year.”
“I’m amazed you can even fly straight after all you ate,” Lumine teased with a small smile.
Paimon puffed out her cheeks indignantly. “Hu Tao said to eat as much as we wanted, so Paimon did!”
“At least you chose to eat all that food,” Lumine replied, still smiling. “I wonder how much of Xingqiu’s food Chongyun ended up having to eat? Definitely more than a couple of carrots.”
Paimon’s eyes lit up at the memory. “The ones with the glazed honey sauce? They were delicious!” She paused. “Hey, do you think they offer room service in this place?”
“It’s probably a little too late,” Lumine said. “It’s almost midnight, after all.”
Paimon stifled another yawn. “Paimon is pretty sleepy. Please say it’s not much further to our rooms.”
“It looks as though they’re just around this corner,” Lumine assured her.
And at these encouraging words, Paimon screwed up her face in concentration as she flew forwards a little faster towards their goal.
“Phew, we made it!” She exclaimed in the doorway of her room, a bit further down the corridor from Lumine’s, and waved. “Goodnight traveller!”
“Night, Paimon,” Lumine replied with a returning wave.
She watched as her tiny companion disappeared into her room and then entered her own, shutting the door behind her. The room was warm and spacious, bathed in light cast by the lamps on either side of the bed. There was also a small balcony that overlooked the sea below; the dark waves calm and peaceful in the moonlight.
A white silken nightgown had been laid out for her on the bed, and Lumine slipped it on before padding over to the bathroom and brushing her teeth before heading back to the bedroom and flopping down onto the large bed.
She still had that heavy weight in her chest that had settled there when Xiao left earlier. But what had she been expecting? That he would stay? Walk her back to the inn? Offer to accompany her on an evening stroll? These were childish thoughts and Lumine knew that. But she couldn’t help feeling that a chance had slipped through her fingers as she’d watched Xiao vanish into the night.
Lumine wondered what he was up to at that moment. Perhaps he was prowling the Dihua Marsh, or watching over the land from atop the Wangshu Inn. What thoughts occupied Xiao’s mind while he was up there, all alone? Was he eternally looking back into the past, reliving memories of the friends he’d lost and the life he’d once had? Or were his thoughts with the karmic darkness ahead, and the seemingly endless battles that awaited him?
Or perhaps, from time to time, did he think of the people here with him in the present? Did he ever think of Lumine, as she so often thought of him?
She knew Xiao respected her skills in battle, and he seemed to enjoy talking to her when they got the chance. Earlier that evening he’d even said how their conversations felt ‘novel’ to him. But Xiao had also seen decades pass in Teyvat, so there must have been others who he’d come to know as he had Lumine. Was she simply another acquaintance to him, an ally? Just a passing traveller?
At one point, the idea of her meaning anything more to Xiao would have been laughable. But Lumine had to admit it didn’t seem so unbelievable anymore. She could no longer deny their connection, especially as it only seemed to strengthen each time their paths crossed. She could feel it in her heart and see it in the way Xiao’s gaze softened when he spoke to her, sharing things she was sure he hadn’t said to anyone else before.
Lumine remembered the rush of surprised joy she’d felt when he’d entered the restaurant earlier, her heart racing at the sight of him. She’d been so happy just sitting by his side and was pleased to learn that, in a social situation Xiao typically wouldn’t enjoy, he found comfort in her presence. Lumine’s happiness had only grown as they’d stepped outside together, sharing a rare and intimate moment. She’d wanted to remain out there with him all night.
If they had been left alone out there, would things have been different? Would Xiao have stayed longer and walked her back to her room? Lumine could almost hear the way he would murmur a soft ‘goodnight,’ to her in his low, gravely, heavenly voice.
…But then her imagination was racing ahead; picturing Xiao as he would prepare to go, yet instead take a step forwards and kiss Lumine, wrapping his arms tightly around her as he pressed her urgently against the door.
Lumine felt a low tug of arousal and her face grew hot. While she had certainly always been attracted to Xiao, at first there had been something so otherworldly and unattainable about him that his attractiveness was something she had only distantly acknowledged. But now things were different, and this connection between them had bloomed into something deeper.
So it was a shame that these feelings were incredibly inappropriate. Aside from anything else, she had no idea whether Xiao even had the same kinds of physical impulses that she did. He was a man, yes, but he was also an adeptus and a Yaksha. It could be that they had their own ways of experiencing pleasure, and any human methods would simply be unappealing to the mighty Conqueror of Demons.
Lumine sighed. She was sure that nothing would ever happen between them, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t dream of a world where it could. In this world, Xiao would feel the same way she did and this night would have offered them a chance.
And with a fresh wave of longing, Lumine settled herself back on the bed and closed her eyes.
They’d stumble through the door to her room, too preoccupied with each other to pay any attention to their surroundings. Xiao would push Lumine insistently against the wall as he kissed her hungrily, his body pressed urgently against hers. They had been building towards this moment for a long time, and it showed in the desperate, feverish way they were touching each other; like they’d never get enough. Xiao would ravage Lumine’s neck, sucking on the delicate skin there with his hot, wet mouth before kissing and biting her too, soothing the red marks with his tongue, and then making his way down to the tops of her exposed breasts.
Lumine swallowed, a dull pulse gathering between her legs as she then thought of how Xiao would gather her in his arms and carry her to the bed. She’d want to touch every inch of his body and learn how he liked to be touched. She’d fantasised about what Xiao looked like beneath his clothes, and pictured him now, all lithe muscle and tattoos, staring at her intently as she bent low over him. Lumine imagined his gasps and groans as she’d run her tongue down his length, lapping at the sensitive slit before taking him entirely into her eager mouth.
Lumine’s heart was racing, her imagination flitting between different irresistible scenarios, but there was one she wanted more than any other. She pictured Xiao above her, pressing her into the mattress as he gazed down at her, his golden eyes dark with desire. Lumine ran a hand down her body, imagining it was him, and remembered the way Xiao had once held her before, the night the Jade Chamber fell. He’d had one hand around her shoulder and the other at her waist, his fingers splayed in a strong, protective grip. Lumine needed him to touch her like that again, and imagined him gripping her waist with one hand and spreading her thighs with the other, desperate to have her.
Lumine’s legs fell open almost unconsciously as she imagined Xiao lining himself up against her, ready to push inside and fill her to the brim.
“Xiao,” she whispered.
As soon as the name left her lips, Lumine felt the air shift and heard a small intake of breath from the opposite side of the room.
She froze, and panic sent her heart racing. She tried to tell herself that she’d just imagined the noise and was still alone in the room. But of course she knew who was here with her now.
Lumine slowly raised her head and registered a pair of golden eyes wide with shock before letting out a panicked yell, sitting bolt upright and yanking any surrounding blankets up to her chin. It wasn’t as though her nightgown was inappropriate at all… but the position Xiao had found her in certainly was.
“My apologies, traveller,” he began, sounding hesitant, his gaze averted.
And although every fibre of Lumine’s being was currently burning with utter mortification, she had to admit Xiao looked incredibly cute when he was flustered.
“I thought you had called me, requiring assistance,” he continued. “But if you have no need of me I shall g–”
“No!” Lumine cried out, terrified to watch him leave for a second time that day. “No,” she said a little more calmly. “Since you’re here, why don’t you stay a little while? I was just relaxing since I couldn’t sleep yet,” she bit her lip. “I wouldn’t mind your company.”
Xiao eventually looked at her, apparently thinking. “Alright. For a bit.”
Lumine smiled brightly at this, her stomach fluttering with excited nerves.
“What would you like to do?” Xiao asked, folding his arms.
Lumine ignored what immediately came to mind, and looked around the room for inspiration. Then she remembered.
“Oh, I actually have a lantern I haven’t used yet,” she said, slipping off the bed and taking it out of her bag along with a box of matches. “Would you like to send it off with me?”
Xiao eyed the lantern in her hands and nodded. Lumine padded over to the balcony and slid the screen door open, letting in the cool night air and a refreshing salty breeze from the docks. She could hear the gentle waves lapping below and the distant sound of laughter and music from the streets, still busy despite the late hour.
She sat down on the decking facing the water with the lantern in her lap, and Xiao came and sat beside her. Their shoulders were almost touching like this, but not quite. Xiao was, as always, careful and composed.
Lumine held the lantern out to Xiao who took it, and she lit the candle inside, watching as the light danced across his handsome features. She then took the other side of the lantern and tried not to outwardly react when her fingers brushed against Xiao’s, her stomach swooping at the unexpected contact.
Together they then lifted the lantern into the air, but at first it seemed to falter, struggling to rise any higher. Lumine was about to get up, intending to give it another push, but Xiao touched her arm lightly.
“Let me,” he said, and held out his hand, conjuring a rush of anemo energy towards the lantern that sent it spiralling towards the clouds above.
Lumine laughed in delight, watching the lantern slowly drift out of sight. She turned to Xiao, about to make some small remark, but the words evaporated in her throat when she saw that he was already looking at her. She blushed at the unexpected attention and fiddled with the hem of her dress.
Now that they’d sent off the lantern, Lumine was worried Xiao would want to leave. She quickly tried to think of a new topic of conversation.
“Did you enjoy the dinner earlier?” She asked, wincing slightly at how dull this question was.
Xiao nodded. “I did. It was considerate of the Funeral Director to choose guests who wouldn’t be affected by my karma. It would have been impossible to join the group, had anyone there been entirely human.”
“Xiao,” Lumine began, hardly thinking through what she was about to ask, but consumed by her need to know. “Can I ask you a question about that?”
Xiao looked taken aback for a moment. “Of course.”
Lumine cleared her throat, willing herself not to blush. “I was wondering, since you mentioned it, has it… has it ever been possible for Yaksha and non-Yaksha to be… together? Has it happened before?”
Xiao took a little while to respond, his gaze on the dark horizon ahead, watching the waves.
”For humans, no, I don’t believe it’s ever happened before. I imagine if any intimacy were to be initiated, it would have been fatal for the human. Being that close to us, the karmic debt would have burned them up in an instant and destroyed them.”
Lumine couldn’t tear her eyes away from Xiao, waiting with bated breath to hear what he would say next.
”But that’s only for humans, and you’re not human, are you, traveller?” He said, turning back to her.
”Not since the last time I checked,” Lumine replied weakly, her mouth suddenly dry. “The karmic debt has never seemed to affect me.”
”No,” Xiao said thoughtfully. “And you‘ve taken on ancient gods before.”
Lumine smiled. “I’ve challenged ancient gods before and won.”
A breath of laughter escaped Xiao’s lips, and Lumine’s heart skipped a beat.
“You’ve always intrigued me, traveller,” Xiao continued, a tiny smile still toying with the corners of his mouth.
“I feel the same about you,” Lumine confessed.
Xiao seemed to be lost in thought for a moment as his eyes roamed her face.
“Where did you come from?” He murmured, apparently more to himself than to her. “I admit, thoughts of you take up much of my time these days. There’s a lot I would still like to know about you.”
Xiao seemed closer now, and Lumine could smell fresh air, pine trees and a fragrance that reminded her of picking qinxin flowers in the mountains of Liyue.
Lumine swallowed, her stomach fluttering with nerves. “You can always ask me anything. I’ll tell you whatever you’d like to know.”
“Very well,” Xiao said, his voice low. “What were you thinking about just now, traveller, when you said my name?”
Lumine felt her face heat up. She had promised to tell Xiao anything, but the thought of revealing her earlier fantasies was mortifying.
“You wouldn’t like to know the answer to that,” Lumine replied, a little shyly.
“I disagree,” he said softly.
And despite Lumine’s embarrassment, something in his answering expression made her believe him.
“I could show you, if you’d like?” She suggested quietly.
Xiao shifted towards her in answer, and hesitantly Lumine took his hand in hers. It was a small act, and yet it seemed to mark the beginning of something remarkable. But no sooner had Lumine done this when Xiao was withdrawing his hand.
“Wait,” he said, and Lumine felt a stab of panic, worried that she’d somehow misinterpreted his words.
But Xiao was simply removing his gloves, placing them beside him on the balcony decking and then reaching for Lumine’s hand once again. There was something strangely thrilling and intimate about seeing him without his gloves on and feeling his bare skin on hers, and they traced their fingers across every inch of their hands before slowly slotting together.
They looked at each other, and not for the first time Lumine was mesmerised by Xiao’s eyes and those molten, shimmering depths. Lumine then leaned forwards and pressed her lips softly to his. At first, Xiao seemed to hesitate, his mouth stiff beneath hers. But then all at once he was kissing her back, and it was as if all the Lantern Rite fireworks had exploded inside Lumine. Joy and excitement and a wondrous elation seemed to permeate every inch of her body, so much that she was sure her skin must be glowing.
Xiao. She was kissing Xiao.
Their lips drew apart an immeasurable amount before coming together again, and Xiao was now cupping Lumine’s jaw, keeping her close. She opened her lips against his, deepening the kiss, and he mirrored the movement with a soft noise of want. Lumine felt the tip of his tongue nudge along her bottom lip, and she parted them more pliantly. Xiao then traced the insides of her mouth with his tongue, and Lumine’s toes curled in pleasure, heat pooling at her core.
After several moments Xiao shifted slightly, withdrawing from the kiss, and Lumine was pleased to notice his shortness of breath and darkening eyes.
“Traveller, may I touch you?” he asked, his voice sounding a little strained.
“Yes,” she breathed.
And they were kissing again, with Xiao’s hands running through her hair and down her sides before settling at her waist, gripping there tightly, and Lumine couldn’t help but moan, her fantasy becoming reality. Xiao seemed to respond in turn — the kiss now hungry and heated — as if he was intent on devouring her mouth. And archons did Lumine want him to.
Moving on instinct and pure desire, she got up on her knees and straddled Xiao’s lap. He immediately pulled her closer to him and smoothed his hands up her spine in a way that made Lumine’s back arch.
“I thought about more than just kissing you,” she admitted, feeling bold.
“Show me,” Xiao replied, then running his hands along her exposed thighs.
Lumine shuffled back slightly and, with smug satisfaction, saw the slight tent in Xiao’s pants that showed he was just as affected by her as she was by him.
She nudged at the hem of his shirt until he got the hint and began to rid himself — a little hurriedly — of the various ornaments and trinkets that adorned his clothes before getting rid of the upper half of those too, finally sitting with Lumine still perched in his lap, entirely bare from the waist up.
Lumine gazed down at Xiao’s body, transfixed by what she saw. The tattoos, it seemed, were not limited to his arms; they curled and caressed his lithe, sculpted chest and went down the length of his toned torso, stopping short of Xiao’s pants that now hung temptingly low off his hips. Lumine had never desired anyone so much.
Hesitantly, she reached out to run her hand down Xiao’s chest and he gave a low noise of ascent, tilting his head back and closing his eyes. It made Lumine wonder when he’d last been touched. She continued to run her hands over Xiao until she was sure she’d covered every inch of him at least twice, and then traced his cheekbone gently with her fingertips, her touch feather light.
He surprised her though, as he opened his eyes and took hold of her hand, pressing it more firmly to his cheek. The moment was strangely tender, given the heated tension between them, and Xiao sat up, leaning forwards to kiss Lumine again. It was a little softer than before, and she luxuriated in the slow burn.
But it wasn’t long before the atmosphere was building between them again, and Lumine couldn’t help the way her hips rocked forwards, grazing Xiao’s cock and making him groan at the contact. When Lumine couldn’t hold back any longer, she hooked her fingertips beneath Xiao’s waistband and looked at him questioningly, and perhaps a little desperately.
Xiao lowered himself back onto his elbows. “You wish to touch me — all of me?”
“Yes,” Lumine began. “But with my mouth if — if that’s something you would enjoy?”
Xiao looked taken aback. “That would be a new experience for me.”
Lumine’s eyebrows rose in surprise. “Really?”
“Yes,” Xiao replied. “I’ve taken part in other acts before, but… not this one.”
Lumine felt the thrill of a challenge. She wanted to make this as good for Xiao as she possibly could so that he’d never forget this night, and months — perhaps even years — into the future he’d pleasure himself to the mere memory of her mouth.
She took a steadying breath before tugging the material down, away from Xiao, who kicked off the rest, revealing his entire perfect body stretched out before her. Of course Lumine’s eyes were immediately drawn to his cock — Xiao was big, and she couldn’t help but imagine what it would be like to have him inside her. But it also felt incredibly intimate and special seeing Xiao bare and vulnerable before her, and she wanted to treasure the moment.
Xiao was watching Lumine steadily, and she thought she saw a flicker of urgency in his eyes. She bent low over him, listening to the sound of the gentle waves below the balcony and Xiao’s shallow breathing. She then wrapped her delicate fingers around Xiao’s length and he inhaled sharply at the contact, before taking him into her mouth and licking over the tip of his cock, sucking lightly and tasting the beads of pre-come already gathering there.
Xiao gave a shuddering groan, his hands running through her hair, grasping it tightly. “Shit — Lumine.”
She let out a small noise of surprise at the sound of her name on his lips, he had never called her that before. In fact, no one had in a long time, and certainly never like that.
Lumine sank lower, taking Xiao further into her mouth, relaxing her jaw entirely around his cock, enjoying the fullness and luxuriating in the deep, wet slide between her lips. She alternated between licking and sucking, allowing saliva to seep from the corners of her mouth and run down Xiao’s length. But the feel of him in her mouth almost couldn’t compare to the way he was reacting. Xiao was rarely one to show much emotion, even to Lumine, he was always so cool and composed. Now, Xiao’s eyes were closed, his cheeks flushed and his mouth open, letting out the most needy, erotic noises that Lumine had ever heard, and it made her greedy for more.
She rolled her tongue over the tip of Xiao’s cock before giving an extra hard suck, sinking down until she could feel him nudge the back of her throat, and swallowed around him. Xiao’s hips jerked at this, and he uttered a low groan.
“L-Lumine, wait,” he panted, gently lifting her chin to slide his cock out from between her lips. “Do you want more from me tonight?”
“Yes,” she admitted.
Xiao’s gaze darkened. Then he scooped her up in his arms, and in a flash they were back inside and she was being deposited onto the bed, bouncing slightly with the force. Before Lumine could even react, Xiao was crawling over her, his arms resting either side of her head. He pressed himself against her and Lumine could feel him between her legs, hard and insistent, and she whimpered at the sensation, her body desperate to sink down onto him.
“Did you dream of this too?” Xiao asked in a low voice.
“I did,” she whispered back.
It felt strange for Lumine to still be clothed so, after hesitating for only a moment, she stripped off her nightgown and underwear, leaving her entirely naked beneath Xiao. He didn’t move; frozen in place as his eyes dragged up her newly exposed body. Slowly he leaned forwards, trailing his hand up her stomach and between her breasts before coming up to stroke her cheek.
“So beautiful,” Xiao murmured. “Do you know how long I’ve wanted you, Lumine?”
She flushed with pleasure from the praise and shook her head.
“A long time,” he said.
His eyes were almost entirely black now, only slim golden rings framed his pupils, dark as night. He seemed content at first to simply touch Lumine, taking in every inch of her exposed body. He smoothed his hand over her ribs, her hips and waist before grazing one of her perked nipples, making her gasp, her hips jerking on reflex. Xiao’s gaze flickered up to her face.
“You liked that,” he said with wonder at this discovery.
“Yes,” Lumine breathed, desperate for him to touch her there again.
And he did, rolling both nipples harder between his deft fingers, over and over, until Lumine was a panting, writhing mess. Xiao then took both breasts in his hands and squeezed, and Lumine cried out, her whole body throbbing with need.
Xiao leaned back slightly and Lumine felt a pressure against her entrance as Xiao teased her with his fingers making her whine, ready to beg him if need be.
Xiao bent low over Lumine and took a nipple into his mouth, sucking lightly and swirling his tongue over the peak just as two fingers entered her from below. She cried out again, hips bucking, unable to resist fucking herself on his fingers, her entire body taut with tension and desire.
“So wet,” Xiao groaned softly.
“It’s how you make me feel,” Lumine gasped.
“And you truly want this?” Xiao asked, and there was a subtle note of disbelievement there. “You want me?”
Lumine looked up at him, hardly believing he had to ask. “I’ve always wanted you, Xiao.”
He swallowed, his eyes never leaving hers. Then slowly he withdrew his fingers, and Lumine would have protested, had she not felt Xiao line up something much bigger there instead. Lumine sensed his hesitation, despite her words of encouragement.
“Please,” she whispered.
And Xiao obeyed. Lumine’s head fell back against the pillow, a drawn out moan leaving her lips as she felt Xiao’s cock fill her to the brim. He felt exquisite.
“Are you ok?” Xiao asked, sounding strained.
“Archons, yes,” Lumine replied in a gasp.
They gazed at each other, and Lumine couldn’t get over the fact that Xiao was inside her. That they were doing this. That she was finally getting all she desired in the world. And then Xiao began to move, his thrusts slow at first, and Lumine didn’t ever want to look away from his expression as he fucked her. Xiao’s eyes were closed, his eyebrows furrowed, mouth open slightly and a groan left his lips.
“Lumine,” Xiao growled. “You feel so good.”
She whimpered, drunk on the knowledge that she was doing this to Xiao; she was the reason he looked like he was experiencing pure ecstasy. But Lumine also knew Xiao, and she could feel the tension in his body; the stiff movements that told her he was holding back.
“Xiao,” she said, and was surprised to hear how breathy her voice came out. “You can go faster.”
But his expression was one of concern as he continued to slowly thrust inside her. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
“You won’t,” she assured him. “Please, Xiao,” she murmured. “Fuck me.”
And something sparked in Xiao’s eyes, Lumine could almost feel the heat from his gaze at her words. And before she could do anything more he was shifting their position, pulling her closer to him and raising her hips off the bed as he began to fuck her more ruthlessly. Xiao was so much deeper inside her at this angle, plunging in and out, and Lumine was hardly aware of the noises tumbling from her lips at the feeling.
She leaned forwards, up towards Xiao, demanding a kiss, and he gave it to her, filthy and desperate as he continued to fuck into her. And the sounds. They filled the room each time Xiao’s cock breached Lumine’s entrance, so loud and wet, and she knew she should have felt ashamed, but somehow it only turned her on even more.
“Shit, Lumine,” Xiao groaned against her lips.
And he pressed down again, now fucking her hard into the mattress, the bed creaking with every thrust as his dick slammed into her relentlessly again and again, and Lumine could feel the slow winding up of tension that meant she was getting close.
“X-Xiao – ah – I-I’m going to–” Lumine began, before breaking off with a cry as Xiao bent low over her and sucked at her breasts again, lapping at her sensitive nipples.
And with a flash of white hot pleasure right to her core, Lumine was coming with a moan of Xiao’s name, her hips rolling uncontrollably as pleasure ignited in every inch of her body. She was only vaguely aware of Xiao’s answering gasp, followed by a deep groan, and she felt warmth spill inside her as he came.
They remained still for a moment, and Lumine couldn’t ever remember feeling so content and peaceful before. Xiao, too, seemed happy to simply lie there as they came down from their shared high, his head nestled into her neck. Then, very slowly, he pulled out and lay down on the bed next to her. She winced as she felt his come trickle down her thigh. She would need to get cleaned up, but… not just yet.
Lumine turned over, resting her head on Xiao’s chest and listening to the sound of his slow, deep breathing. His arms came around her then, drawing her even closer to him and Lumine smiled, feeling the happiest she had been in a long time.
But then a sudden thought occurred to her, breaking the spell.
“Xiao… will you be gone when I wake up?”
He didn’t respond at first, and his silence seemed to give Lumine her answer. But just as she began to feel a deep sadness well up inside her, he spoke.
“Yes, but I’ll return to your side whenever you wish.”
And it could have been Lumine’s imagination but she was sure she felt Xiao’s lips press against her hair, kissing her head softly.
“...You just have to call.”
