Summary
It took so long for Sanemi to really learn who Giyuu was, to know at least some of the mechanics behind his mind, to see him laugh and smile. It was indeed both their faults, and life just standing in the way, but it took years and deaths, the end of a whole species. In the end, Sanemi's just happy he gets to keep someone he loves this time, no matter how long it took for them to come together.
Aka: The obligatory story where they recover in the butterfly mansion together and hang out afterwards and slowly fall in love now that they can heal emotionally and physically.
