Sergey watched in baffled silence as Misha grabbed his brother by the arm, pulling him towards the kitchen, asking about his studies, his friends, the kind of music he liked, perfectly ordinary things.
After this, any decent roommate would’ve grabbed a sandwich or reheat some leftovers and leave them to be – but Sergey and Ippolit weren’t just roommates, they were brothers. Flesh and blood and everything. And, as per the laws of nature, siblings had to seize any given opportunity to get on each other’s nerves – one of Ippolit’s favourite pastimes, right next to flaunting his privileges as the youngest child of seven.
