“What about aliens?”
Nita looked over at Kovit, an eyebrow raised.
“What about them?”
He turned his head towards her, and he seemed surprisingly quiet like this, sprawled out in the meadow beside her.
“If things like us exist,” he continued, slowly, “wouldn’t it make sense that there’s more stuff out there as well?”
Nita considered this for a minute, then let out a snickering laugh.
“Maybe there are… but I think we’ve got enough terrestrial problems to deal with right now, don’t you?”
Kovit laughed as well, and Nita grinned, looking back up at that vast expanse of sky.
