Chapter Text
False was sitting on Scars very uncomfortable rich person couch. It wasn’t like it was his fault, she’d since learned that the hero team furnished his apartment, so he was unfortunately stuck with the truly awful design choices.
After their conversation it was agreed that False should stay at Scars house and not tell anyone, including Gem. The only people who knew she was here were Scar, Grian, and Scars weird neighbour, who’d apparently seen her while she was asleep.
She vaguely remembered a green blob and something about seven coffee mugs and sugar?
This left her alone in Scars apartment, wearing an old HotGuy tee shirt under her flannel, watching a tv that was bigger than her entire body. Blimey!
They must have used a crane to bring that thing in.
The main thing they were worried about; what happened when Gem reported her missing, but that clearly wouldn’t be an issue of today was anything to go off. She hadn’t even been mentioned once.
Not once.
Really went to show ya what Gem really felt about her. Yeah, go ahead, don’t even report that shes missing! Gem better be glad that hadn’t, ya know, DIED!
Other than making her question her entire relationship with Gem, this was good. It meant that the Hero’s weren’t actively looking into her disappearance. That was good because it brought them time to start figuring out what was going on, who they could trust and who knew about her all along.
It was weird how much life could change in three months.
Her memories were coming back.
That was good.
She passed out every time they did.
That… wasn’t so good.
She has a name of someone from her past.
That’s.. more than she ever anticipated having.
Said person kidnapped her.
That was definitely no good.
He didn’t know she was alive.
That was weird.
He has to tell her something.
Ok.
He was a hero.
That cool.
She was one, thought to be dead for the past five years except the Hero Team may have known she was alive this entire time.
She doesn’t know how to feel about that one if she’s honest.
So much has happened. So much has changed. Her life is upside down right now. She wants to go back to before and wants to remember who she is. She was scared, elated, angry, and confused all at once.
She was just so very tired but it felt like the next time she woke her life would be entirely different.
She would be entirely different.
Scars sort-of cat, Jellie rubbed against her legs, clearly begging for attention. False had learned that apparently there was no predicting Jellie.
In Scars own words “the Jellie shows up when the Jellie wants to.”
She also usually only showed up when Scar was around, thus being’Scars cat,’ so it made False wonder what she was doing here. Maybe she knew she was needed somehow.
Jellies green eyes were bearing into False’s, begging for cuddles. False scoped her up and nuzzled into her light grey fur. Jellie started purring, and False realized that she was ok.
Despite everything
She was ok.
No matter how complicated her life had become, she was ok.
She wasn’t great or even good but she was ok!
She was ok!
She was going to be ok.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So this was interesting.
He knew for sure the hero’s had lied now, and he knew the identities of two heroes.
HotGuy and CuteGuy. Big ones too. He wasn’t expecting that.
But now they we’re unsure of the Hero Team themselves.
He might not have to do anything, the Heroes seemed like they were going to destroy themselves.
At least it’ll be fun to watch if that happens.
But he can’t watch anymore.
Now it was his turn.
The Hero’s would never forget him now.
