Chapter Text

“Alright gays and geckos! As you already know, I’m Dean, I use he-she pronouns, and my favorite colors are blue and pink! Who wants to go next?” A short person with a brown mullet raised their hand quickly, and Dean nodded. “Hi! I’m Logan, I use he-it pronouns, and my favorite color is orange because I’m cool like that.” The person next to him had vibrant blue hair, and they quickly sat up at their turn. “Hello! I’m Franky, he-star, my favorite colors are red, yellow, and blue, and everyone here should watch One Piece when they get home!” Next to Franky sat someone with dark hair and dark wings, and they rolled their eyes lightheartedly at Franky’s advertisement. “Hey, I’m Spiral or Pixel, it-they-slime-void please, and I like the color blue!” A winged person with red and black hair perched next to Pixel, and their wings flapped excitedly. “Hello! I’m Sketch or Pyro, I prefer it-fire-thing pronouns, and I like red!”

On the other side of Pyro sat someone with bright pinkish red hair tied with a bandana leaning up against one of the beds. “Hi homos, I’m Casey, they-xe pronouns please and thank you, and I think purple is nice!” Perched on top of one of the bunk beds was someone with pink horns peeking out from their dark hair. “Hello! Jasper or Poison with he-they-it-vamp-blood pronouns, and my favorite colors are black and red!” Dean clapped twice. “Awesome! So, for rules, it’s pretty much just what Emma said, plus that no electronics are allowed. Something about her wanting to make the experience more immersive or something. Well, that and the cell phone use interferes with the camp stuff I think.” Logan raised his hand. “How does it interfere with stuff? It shouldn’t unless something is running off of wifi or something.” Dean shrugged. “Don’t know, didn’t ask.”

Kai looked around at his campers, noting the strengths at weaknesses that they saw at first glance. Half of the campers were alert and excited, while the other half looked like they could fall asleep at any moment. “Alright gang, let’s get started. I’m Wiz or Kai, and I use he and they pronouns. The rest of you should introduce yourselves as well, for clarity.” A brunette with hints of blue and purple cautiously raised their hand. “Hi, I’m Hamlet, he-www.-pop-TV-pup-https:// pronouns!”

A person with darker hair slowly raised their hand once Hamlet finished speaking. “Hi! I’m Maya, and I use she-they pronouns! It’s nice to meet you guys!” Wiz nodded and motioned to the blue-haired person next to Maya. “Oh, hi! I’m Dynamo or Autumn, she-her pronouns, please!” After Autumn, there were two people left. One had reddish hair and the other was fast asleep on the floor. “Hi! I’m Donnie or Jolly, I use he-they pronouns, and that’s Smilee, he uses he him pronouns!” Wiz nodded yet again at the completion of the introductions. “Great job, everyone. Well, we have things we need to be doing.”

Mealtime finally came around, much to everyone’s relief. While campers were encouraged to sit with their cabins, most of them decided to sit with other people. At one table sat Sketch, Pink, Dog, Logan, and Hamlet, who were talking quietly about some type of haunted mansion. At another, Casey, Kris, and Donnie were intensely arguing over whether or not a hot dog was a sandwich, while Leah, Maya, and Autumn watched on in a mix of awe and fear. Another table had Dee, Floris, and Franky talking about their special interests as Smilee slept and Poizon and Spiral discussed if the food was edible or not. The final table consisted of Emma, Wiz, Takola, and Dean, who all looked like they just wanted to go home and take a nap. Dinner was going fine though, so they could relax a bit.

At least, until Logan threw mashed potatoes at Pink, causing em to retaliate by throwing an open mustard packet at Logan, but it dodged, causing the mustard to hit Franky instead. When star reacted, the entire room erupted in a full-blown food fight. A couple of the campers glanced over at Emma and the counselors to see if any of them would put a stop to it, but by the way that Garden chucked a cupcake across the room, it was highly unlikely. So, everyone decided that if they weren’t going to get in trouble, they might as well join in. A few of the campers who had wings even decided to fly up and launch some overhead attacks. After only a few short minutes, there was food everywhere.
