Hotshot

Summary:

Two kids born into a insurgency group ought to know how to shoot a gun, right?

(Fanart!)

Notes:

Hello!

Some context for this AU I developed that's not obvious AT ALL from the actual work - Wake still got jettisoned out an airlock by Pyrrha/G1deon, but failed to take baby Gideon down with her to the Ninth House. Gideon was then taken to BoE by Pyrrha where she is raised alongside Pash. Pyrrha comes by and visits sometimes, under the assumption that Gideon is their actual kid. I imagine that this eventually leads to the Lyctors running into each other and each of their betrayals to John coalescing to a gigantic confrontation at some point, but that's not important at all for this comic. It's all an elaborate backdrop excuse for young Pash and Gideon bonding time!

These girls should be playing with normal kid things like age-appropriate toys or something but unfortunately they were born into an insurgency group that takes advantage of child soldiers, so they get guns instead. I also like to imagine Gideon also inherited Wake's competence for firearms.

Giftee, I hope this short little comic is to your liking!!

Image descriptions in the Alt text!

First image out of three for a short comic about Gideon Nav and Our Lady of the Passion from The Locked Tomb series. Pash is a tween wearing a t-shirt and cargo pants. Her hair is messy and she has minor scars on her face and arms. Gideon is depicted younger, wearing an oversized t-shirt and shorts. They are both carrying a pistol. Pash has her pistol in her right hand at her side as she says to Gideon, "Are you sure you know how to use that thing?" To which Gideon replies, "Shuddup, I saw Pyrrha use it once" as she completes reloading the pistol with a click.

Second image out of three for a short comic about Gideon Nav and Our Lady of the Passion from The Locked Tomb series. The image shows a zoomed out shot of their current location, a shooting range, as Gideon fires four shots at four cans set on a wooden beam, each with a loud "bang!" Three out of the four cans explode from gunshots.

Last image out of three for a short comic about Gideon Nav and Our Lady of the Passion from The Locked Tomb series. Pash and Gideon are both in the panel. Pash is speechless as she looks dumbfounded to the ruined cans out of frame. Gideon looks disappointed as she lowers her pistol to the ground and says, "Aw, I missed one."
