To anyone on the outside, it would look like a well-reasoned choice. Thanos took her from her home, all but destroyed her homeworld. And her decision to leave – to betray him – has once again left her without a home. It follows, naturally, that she would want to lend her support to a project helping others in the same position.
But the truth is, Gamora made up her mind a split second after seeing how impossibly happy her sister has become. She is an impulsive idiot, and maybe she always has been.

More than halfway thru chap 7, hands down the best guardians of the Galaxy fanfic "what if" kind of thing I've ever read. Typically stuck to the movies but hands down this has the best portraytion of the characters EVER stg THE BEST and everything from Gamora to little Groot is amazing and acts just like there canon counterparts. It's amazing, really. Highly recommend this story, especially with the fact in this they actually get to be together -as far as I can see anyways- which is LOVELY AND BBG I LOVE IT SOMUCH HGIHGLY RECOMMEND
