"it's been awhile, hasn't it?" Nightmare asked, looking thoughtful.
"this story isn't done yet, that i can assure you." He gazed off to the side, a look of annoyance in his teal eye. "it's not done yet, is it?"
No.
Nightmare nodded, pleased with the answer. "good."
He grinned largely, his tendrils swaying from side to side, his hands in his pockets. "there's still some things to show and tell after all. it'd be unfortunate if there wasn't a clear end to this tale."
Nightmare shrugs. "new people to meet, new information to be revealed, it'd be unfortunate if those never happened."
Don't spoil.
"i would never! unless given a reason." A sneer was pointed off to the side. "i'd say this is a good reason though, don't you think?"
His eye twitched at something that was shown, or possibly about to be said. "don't try to say that you forgot. you didn't forget about this tale. distracted perhaps, but you would never forget about your first tale, would you?"
Never.
"that's all that's needed then isn't it?" Nightmare looks forward with an expression resembling an apologetic one, though it was clear he didn't truly feel sorry. "dear creator will return. he currently has plans for a new tale, plans to finish some other tales, and plans to rewrite a tale."
Expose my plans why don't you.
"only a few select people know of your said plans, the others should probably know so they don't feel too distraught," he snarked back.
... I've mentioned hints.
"not well, and they're only obvious to those who have spoken with you about your ideas." Nightmare shook his head with a sigh. "you'll be making a few people cry when your new tale comes out, and i for one, will enjoy every minute."
I'm quite excited for it as well.
"you would be, wouldn't you." There's a shared grin.
He shakes his head after a moment, waving a hand. "that's not that important though is it? it'll be appearing soon enough, the waiting for the new tale won't be long. what's important is this tale, one that's been stationary." He paused, humming thoughtfully. "actually, you have a few stationary ones don't you?"
Some will get finished soon.
"sure, but that's only four tales, not including the tale that will begin." There wasn't a response, Nightmare was correct. "you still need to flesh things out for the others, don't you?"
Is that so bad?
"is it?"
I'd rather give a somewhat satisfactory ending without some plot holes y'know.
"better than some creators." He shrugs. "the ones that will be finishing are already mapped out aren't they?"
They're short tales, not extensive storylines.
Nightmare looked doubtful. "extensive, maybe not, but still fulfilling, i'm sure some can agree with me on that."
Wow, a compliment. How kind of you.
"positive reinforcement yada yada, you'll be feeding me well with the new tale that's coming soon. death works great for negativity." He grins sharply, ignoring the scowl coming towards him for the hint.
Nightmare.
He raised his hands in a placating gesture. "fine, fine, no more being friendly and giving hints on what should be expected to see in this new tale."

Nightmare grins forward, looking amused and expectant.
"things will be resuming and finishing soon. things will be starting. you've been informed, good luck."
