Chapter Text
Heavy breathtaking moments weren't so rare for Midoriya Izuku, as he was always in trouble. Outside, neither inside. He clenched his other hand, relaxing his muscles.
It all happened when he came across a troubling scene, where his childhood foe friend, was in trouble. He encountered the slime fellow for the second time, before rushing into the scene. The crowd was heavily disturbing, but it didn't bother Izuku. He needed to save him. Not for fame, but he genuinely still cares for him.
Even though the mutual feeling wouldn't be returned, he couldn't care as much. His will is to save someone, and that's it. It's... Quite straightforward.
After getting lectured by not only the Pro-Heroes... but by his fellow friend too, he was quite disappointed. After the whole deal was calmed down, the crowd began to dissolve one by one. Izuku was left alone again, getting a call from his worried mother.
He ended the call with his mum, before someone in front of him, the same person he met on the rooftop, decided that he was worthy. Someone like him is... Worthy? God, how he was desperate for compliments.
His Idol, the Number one Pro Hero, was lending him a quirk. A quirk like no other... But beforehand, he has a long way of training to do. His body was slim and too thin. He wouldn't be able to wilt the power, that was going to be lent to him. So the Older figure needed to toughen him up.
Although Izuku knows about his weird thin, and slimy figure, it was still quite surprising. Whenever the quirk wear off, it made his muscles lose some air. Admittingly, he was growing weaker each second and hour.
So he treasured the time, and work his way to build his body to be stronger. Pushing His boundaries, and comfort zone, to become stronger and wilt One For All. He didn't know such a powerful quirk could lead to the Number one spot.
No one knew All Might's quirk name, it was a secret only for the government. But Izuku, a troublemaker per-say, had a way to know after learning that All Might's quirk was AFO.
But that was a story for another time...
─huff...,, The boy with a junior high school uniform ran through the street, escaping from someone. He held his bag, before continuing to walk up front. It felt breathtaking, as he swallowed up the air in front. He was completely out of breath. His hair curled up some tied being knots, as he went out another sigh. His face was swollen quite a bit, but it'll wear off soon.
His head lowered, "Ugh... They were chasing me again..." he kicked the pebble in front of him, "stupid... I shouldn't have interacted..." His voice sounded shaky, and his eyes were tearing up. He held his nose bridge, feeling the nasty cut. "Mum is going to question this..."
Another sigh was let out by the boy, walking with no disturbance. Although he was slowly getting tough, and tougher, it didn't mean that the bullying was lesser. It was the opposite, and Izuku hates it.
He held onto his bag tightly, clearly shaking. He slowly loosens the grip on his bag, while his eyes were dull. As he walked across the Zebra cross, he saw a flower shop.
The Flower shop recently re-opened, and it was one of his mother's favorite shops. He didn't know why, but it didn't matter to him. He tried ignoring the presence around him, but he was curious about the flower shop.
It seemed colorful and has a pretty palette, overall it was beautiful. The outside decor was decorated with different types of flowers, that were quite matching. It had sunflowers, dandelions, poppies, etc. The upper half was filled with bushes and a string of vines, this applied to the bottom half as well, excluding the vines. It had a valley field theme, as the SunFlower was the Sun, while the Shop was the entrance.
The Green-haired boy grabs a glance inside the shop, and caught a Cotton pink-haired, with Green tint glasses, tired while bringing pots that each were filled with different flowers... Or things? It wasn't particularly a normal flower shop, that's for sure.
Before trying to walk away, they both made eye contact from the window.
What Izuku could know from his perspective was, The other had pretty features. He had hot-pink earrings, Green-tinted glasses. Under the glass, his eyes were magenta. The hair was quite ruffled, but it was a soft cotton pink, with clean undercuts making it almost look like a female wolf cut. His outfit was barely simple, he wore a shirt with long sleeves (making sure it was thin), wearing a brown Apron around him. His lower half seemed to not be planned thoroughly, as he puts out dark blue jeans and white sneakers together.
The Pink-haired returned his attention, before going toward him. Putting the plant down near the window, his hand started moving.
It confused the Green haired boy a bit, as he shrugged his shoulders toward the Pink-haired. The Pink-haired face palmed before his finger pointed at the boy, to the ground.
"You... want me to go inside?"
He nodded.
"Ah-! Uh... Uhm... Alright..." The boy went shy, before doing what he was instructed. He opened the door, as the bell rang on top. He looked around, amazed by the things around him...
The boy started to squeal before the other started to write, showing the paper he was writing on.
'Could you help move these pots?'
What surprised the boy, even more, was how nice and clean his writing was. "Yeah! I could do that-... Uh..."
'Saiki.'
"R-right! Saiki!" The boy pitched his voice, "Could I ask something before-?"
He got shot by a glare before the others crossed their arms.
"Eek-!" he yelped, "Uh... Why can't you... Speak?" the boy tilted, before covering his mouth. "Sorry! That sounded rude-"
'Have you heard of Selective Mutism? Now help me.' The other ignored his attempt at communication, bending down to carry the pot, as he brought it to the side of the store. It was quite empty.
The Statement left Izuku quite speechless, as he have heard of the term before, but have never met someone with it. This made him flinch at the sudden glares, catching up to Saiki. "S-sorry! I never met someone with that! I'm sorry..."
The Other shot another glare, but this time, it had quite a threat behind it. It scared Izuku. seems like he doesn't like pities... I didn't even try to make it sound like one...
a trembling sigh was let out from him before he carried the pot, that was instructed, with no issue at all.
It was quite a surprise, as it didn't feel heavy whatsoever... Why was Saiki struggling? Perhaps Izuku is just too strong? Or was it just... Light? He didn't wanna ask, thought it would be too rude.
He did what was instructed to do, carrying and putting the plants, back and forward. It wasn't tiring, but it sure was a workout. Especially, at how the Pink-haired seemed exhausted.
The other took some rest, while Izuku helped out. It was only fair, to pay the other back for their help.
'I don't have much energy left, sorry.'
"No-no! It's fine! You can count this as a payback!" Izuku rubbed the back of his neck, "Besides... May I know what type of flowers are these?"
The other was silent before Saiki wrote something out. 'Do you know JSL/Sign Language?'
"Ah-! Yeah, I do actually!" Now those weird gestures made sense... He should've paid more attention.
Saiki threw the pencil and the pen away, before stretching his arms. 'The Flowers each have a description, you could tap these' he stopped signing, as he went over to a flower nearby. The name on the bottom was called Aconite, as he pushed down the Aconite name pin.
Suddenly, a screen popped out of the pin, showing a description of the plant and what it could be used for. It surprised Izuku at how amazing the technologies were. "whoa... I could see this is a projector being used behind the pin, but it's too good to be true... Not even a projector could be clearer than this..." the boy mutters slowly becoming larger and larger.
'My brother made it, I just helped him with his... Crazy invention.'
"Is your brother's quirk have anything to do with inventions?"
'No, his power is Knowledge. Both figuratively, and actually.' It seemed like he wasn't joking about that...
"Ah... Well, this is neatly done... I should take notes about these..." the boy muttered, before shaking his head. "Sorry-!"
The other shrug it off.
Izuku noticed something, "Hey, Saiki?" It grabbed the other's attention. "Why is this shop so empty?"
The other sighed, 'Not many people get flowers, except for Valentine's day, nowadays. Even if they do, they usually use it for aesthetics. I use them, to take care of them and sell them off.'
"Ah... I see... Well, it makes sense... -"
'It's common sense.'
"-But! How come you're still on business?" The boy tilted his head, before getting answers right away. The other sighed, before signing efficiently.
'I have people who often come here, or as I may say Regulars. I have two of them, both have a different case yet leading the same.'
"Could you...?"
the other shook his head, while the boy nodded.
"Well uh... I have to go now- My mum is going to question my whereabouts-!" the boy grabbed his bag on the floor before Saiki grabbed something off the counter.
The Cotton-haired pat his shoulder, grabbing the Boy's attention.
"What is it, Saiki?"
Suddenly, he unwrapped a bandaid, slowly putting it over the small cut on Izuku's nose. He took a step back, 'You look horrendous with the small cut' Saiki signed while rolling his eyes.
It made Izuku taken aback, feeling a bit flustered by the sudden act. It was genuine... And no harm behind it. "Ah... U-Uhm... Thanks, Saiki-!"
The boy suddenly bowed, almost a perfect 90°.
"I-I have to go now! I'll see you around, Bye!" The boy rushed out of the shop, having a slight tint of red on his cheek.
Saiki just stared at the boy who was running off, before sighing. Well, he was alone again.
He's more glad to be alone than to have someone with him. He could freely release his powers that had been pent up, making the shop look brand fresh.
The flower action was clean, neat, and organized. The floor was stainless, the walls matched the theme, and everything was beautiful. It made Saiki's perfectionist heart a bit relief from the stress of hiding his true potential,
But it didn't bother him anyways.
He looked over at the windows, quick attention as someone was about to go inside. He stopped using his powers, slowly he leaned back on his chair.
The bell rang, meaning someone had stepped inside.
That, someone, had dark lavender hair, floating just like Izuku's, (but more chaotic), and had eyebags under their eyes. They were dark and brooding, but mysterious under and in front of the facade. For the last part, they had an interesting sense of style.
The person wore a turtleneck, with a black gradient white color. Surrounding His whole shoulders, and arms, with a Jacket or a Hoodie. Throwing some baggy pants aside, he was your average type of emo.
The person ought to put his smugness, casually raising and waving his hand. "Yo, Who's the new guy?" His thoughts raised the question, putting his hands aside.
The cotton-haired boy shrugged, 'Taken an interest already?' he casually teased while signing, getting a good reaction from the other.
"I'll say he's pretty cute, But not my interest..." His face flushed, before shaking off the question. "Anyways, you got it?"
'The Agrimonia? Yeah.'
"It's Agrimony." Saiki only batted an eye from the other, While the other had a winning smile.
Saiki went to the back of his workplace, to find the ingredients that the other needed. He was a regular, and a money priotizer. He knows how to get a cheap discount for free, and knows his way to do so.
'Here, do you need any more?'
"It's enough- Thanks lots, dude." But it was simple enough to sympathize with this man. "It means a lot, I'll pay when I'm older"
'You should take care of yourself first don't worry about the fee, Shinsou.' he mouthed the last part, but no voice was sound out. The other, Shinsou, returns with a warm smile.
Chuckled at the signing, "So... You're admitting we're close friends?"
'No.'
There was a click tongue sound from the other, with a wink. "Got 'cha, we're buddies!" he teased the other fellow, "I'll catch 'ya next week, or tomorrow."
Saiki rolled his eyes, while Shinsou's face seemed like someone who had accomplished something.
"Toodles"
"Bye." was the last word Shinsou could hear, before leaving. The door bell rang once again, leaving the shop as empty as ever.
