Chapter Text
Chongyun blinked awake to find that his dick felt amazing. His eyes focused onto the pale gray ceiling, one that although wasn’t his own, was just as familiar. The cover was off of him, which was normal, and he was completely naked, which was…
The events of last night hit him like the flavor of Jeuyun chili, spreading over his tongue and throughout his core.
When he looked down at himself, he was greeted with the face of Xingqiu, his best friend.
“Morning,” they mumbled around the tip of his cock. His face was tilted just so, asymmetrical bangs waterfalling down along his cheekbones. His amber eyes glowed at him below cavernous dark lashes, hauling in his expression to his already vast wealth of knowledge. And as if they had learned his very thoughts, his every want and desperation, they pressed precious kisses along his length, never once breaking eye contact, chiseling at every wall around his heart. Shock and attraction zapped through him, and his cock slapped against their face. For a second, those amber eyes widened with shock, but that soon turned into self-assurance, and Xingqiu’s actions were spurred on anew.
“Xingqiu?” he groaned as they began licking along his staff, pressing little kisses against the pre-cum that leaked from his hole. “What are you doing?”
He watched as they drooled on his dick, a glob of saliva splattering onto his tip. Slowly, it began to drip down his length. “Mm, well, you left your seed in me all night. I couldn’t stop thinking about your member after that.”
“Is… that so…”
“Mhm,” he moaned. As their eyes locked onto each other, Xingqiu let his tongue drag against his vein. It was all Chongyun could do to stay still. “Now aren’t you lucky, having a friend like me to wake up to?”
“Y-yes…”
“You’re so big…” That was all it took. Groaning, he fell back into the sheets. Half passed out, he watched as hazy spots popped up all along his vision. The only part of his body that he could still feel was his hard member, and he was only able to squeak out a symphony of moans as his friend finally took his length fully in their mouth.
He laid there, letting himself indulge in their warmth. Let his cock throb and twitch inside them. It wasn’t until a blast of cool air hit his dick that he came back, realizing Xingqiu was slinging his legs over him.
“Q-Qiu?” he gasped, rising slowly. Xingqiu shoved him upwards into his arms.
“I need you to take me as hard as you can,” he whispered against his ear. Slowly, he licked along his neck. Chongyun couldn’t help but squirm and flinch underneath him. “I wont be able to get over how much I need your dick right now otherwise.”
Despite what he had said, Xingqiu began riding him once again. It was shocking, because even though Chongyun was sure he should’ve been sore, he was fucking himself on his cock with incredible vigor.
“This is so fun,” he exhaled deeply, holding onto his neck a little tighter. “Chongyun, I’ve wanted you to take me like this for so long. Every time we’re together, I keep thinking about you like this…”
Chongyun couldn’t help but groan at the ridiculousness of his statement. He wasn’t taking him at all. It was Xingqiu who was bouncing up and down on his cock, gyrating his hips with such a ferocity that Chongyun found it hard to believe he hadn’t done this before yesterday.
“Xingqiu,” he gasped, grasping at the loose skin of his waist, “slow down.”
“No way,” they giggled through each moan, lips pulling into a twisted smirk.
“Fine, then I’m going to-” he tried to pull away. Tried to readjust Xingqiu on his back so that he could lead instead. But his lover just leaned forward, interlocking their tongues, and each kiss made his heart flip so violently that he couldn’t move. Could only try not to fall back and faint.
“Mmmf, touch me Chongyun.” Despite the command, their voice was so sweet. Through hazy stars, he lifted his hands up, ran them down their hips, letting himself squeeze at their soft butt. As his cock throbbed inside of their tight hole, he felt the rest of his blood shoot straight to his head.
“Oh, Yun,” they whispered, voice breathy and full of love. “I’ve always wanted you to touch me like this.”
He couldn’t hold back his next groan. Couldn’t soften his hold as he gripped their ass in his hand, tighter, tighter, until explosions of scarlet and violet popped into his vision. And he certainly couldn’t stop himself from falling into their arms, from thrusting his hips upwards into them, from letting every sensation blur around him. Ah, he had to give up. There was no way to reign himself in. He was well and truly owned by his love for them.
He was only brought back by their voice.
“Chongyun,” their lips called, each syllable a serene symphony. “A-Yun, come back.” Each vowel drawled out, they giggled against his lips. Blinking, he tried to refocus. “We both came.”
Breathing further out of his stupor, he realized that something warm was dripping down his abs. He wasn’t surprised that he hadn’t felt the warmth, not with the way his skin was absolutely blazing, but the stickiness was another story.
“C’mon, my dearest,” they mumbled between light kisses. “Let’s go wash ourselves.”
As he followed him out of his bed, as they tightened robes across their modesty, Chongyun couldn’t help but notice the marks of his nails across Xingqiu’s lower half.
Despite all his pushing and prodding, Xingqiu was at the very least chivalrous enough to run him a cold bath. And even more surprising was that Xingqiu joined him, both of them squished together in his elaborate bath tub. Amongst sweetly scented lotuses and poignant bath salts, they cuddled together, Xingqiu for warmth, Chongyun for connection. It was amazing being close together like this. He didn’t have to think of an excuse or a reason for it. Now, their feelings for each other were as bare as their nudity, and he didn’t want to lose them.
“I’m sorry,” he murmured into their hair, kissing his head. He sighed deeply. Already, he had made a mistake.
“For what?”
“The… marks on your butt. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“O-oh. Please don’t worry about it. I liked it.”
Chongyun raised his head a little, just in time to catch the blush that spread across his best friend’s cheeks. Ah. He was telling the truth… wasn’t he?
When they had finished, they returned to his room, wrapped in nothing but fluffy towels. Xingqiu gazed at something on his desk while they dried their hair, but there was nothing in this room or world that Chongyun would rather look at but them.
And so he walked forwards.
“Qiu,” he murmured, wrapping his arms around him. He didn’t miss the way they sighed before trying- and failing- to wriggle around in his hold. But he wouldn’t let them. Wouldn’t let them turn around and see the utter desperation on his face. “Last night…”
“Last night…?” Ah, a teasing lilt to his voice. Of course he was playing coy.
“You said that we could… y’know. Hold hands in public…?” Saying it out loud, it sounded silly. He realized it.
“Of course.”
“But this morning, you… you called me your friend.”
“Hm, I’m not catching on. I am your friend, aren’t I?” Ah. The same joke as last night. The same horrible jokes.
“Qiu.”
“Go on. I want to hear you say it.”
“No. You first.” My heart just can’t believe it. I…
“Alright, alright,” finally succeeding, Xingqiu turned around. Startled, Chongyun tried to pull back. But his friend just leaned in until their noses were touching, wrapping his arms safely around his neck. “Chongyun, aren’t you lucky to have a boyfriend like me?”
“Ah! A… a boyfriend…”
“Yes, my most precious and dearest Chongyun. I am your boyfriend.”
Ah. Stars exploded like fireworks in front of his eyes. Xingqiu’s smile was blurred, as hard to follow as the droplets of a waterfall as his eyes brimmed with tears.
“Hey,” they laughed, nuzzling his chin up. “You’re heating up. Stay with me now… my love.”
His love!
“I’m trying,” he whispered into his hair, engorging himself on the relaxing scent of rain. He held them in his arms, so tightly, as if that was the sole solution to keeping his constitution in check. “I’m okay. I’m just… really happy.”
“Me too.”
After what could have been minutes or hours of them hugging, Xingqiu’s voice broke through.
“Come for a morning walk with me?”
“Of course.”
*
Xingqiu couldn’t believe it. After all his stressing and fretting, Chongyun had fallen into his arms. Had kissed them and confessed his love. Had even had sex with them!!! (Twice!!!!!) And now, they walked together outside of the harbor, past stray dogs and rows of fences that whispered promises of the adventures that lay past them.
He hoped that they would continue to go on adventures together. Whether it was something as valiant as besting a trespassing foe, or as mundane as searching for the iteration of a new novel, they wanted Chongyun by their side. Gone were the days where he had to make up a reason for it. Perhaps now, their feelings confessed, he could just… ask? Whatever the future held, he was so happy to be here, hand in hand with his best friend. And no matter what happened, he didn’t want to lose him.
Xingqiu paused, letting his arm guide his beloved back to him. And Chongyun turned to him, eyes wide with worry, as if something could possibly be wrong. (It never would be. Not when they were together.) Taking advantage, Xingqiu did his best to flutter his lashes flirtatiously.
“My love, I’m quite sore. Carry me?”
“Carry you?” Chongyun rolled his eyes. “You seemed fine just a minute ago.”
“Oh Chongyun,” they sighed, falling against the nearby fence. Dramatically, he lifted a lithe hand to his forehead, as if to shield from both the sun and the increasing redness of Chongyun’s face. “You wouldn’t understand. I’ve been repeatedly pounded into, not once, mind you, but twice, and with every step, I can feel my muscles seizing up inside of me, as if-”
“Okay! Okay. I’ll carry you.”
Peaking out at his friend, he felt his heart swell. He was squirming, ears crimson, so embarrassed over something like this. And it was absolutely adorable (and honestly quite hilarious) how easy it was to fluster his friend.
“Thank you!” he smiled, motioning for him to get down. Sweet Chongyun complied, and Xingqiu climbed onto his back, hugging his neck tightly. His lover stood, holding his thighs in his warm hands, and off he went, stride as hearty as ever.
Burying his nose into the crook of his neck, Xingqiu inhaled deeply. He was so soft, so warm, so dependable and strong.
“Y’know, maybe next time, I can show you how it feels.” Cool fingers stroked alongside the muscle on his neck. He whispered into his ear, lips tauntingly brushing against his ear. “I think I’ll really enjoy the way you’ll look, trembling beneath me.”
He had imagined it many times. And knowing now that he could make all those dreams a reality… it didn’t feel real. Not yet.
Although he couldn’t see his face, Xingqiu knew his boyfriend was smirking. “I feel like i’ve discovered a new side of you. Is sex all you think about?”
“Hmm, not all I think about. Maybe… seventy percent?”
“Wow. And to think you somehow still get all that work done for the guild.”
“Hehe. It’s called a healthy dose of procrastination, my love. It forces me to work harder when the time comes to actually do work.”
They passed by modest houses, each with its own row of tulips or roses. And as Xingqiu relaxed into his boyfriend, he realized just how… happy he felt. Chongyun was here, with him. So often, he had feared that his dearest friend would slip away from him. That he had greater aspirations, greater duties, and Xingqiu would end up as merely a memory of the past. But now, knowing that Chongyun liked him, he could rest assured that he was supposed to end up in Chongyun’s future, too. His hands curled slightly tighter against his friend’s chest. Here he was, holding onto him, and perfect Chongyun was holding him back.
A stomach growled. Oh. It was his own.
“You’re hungry.”
“Mm.”
“Wanmin?”
“Sure.”
Valiant Chongyun carried him there, letting him down at the offset of the busy street. With a thank you kiss to his cheek, he took his boyfriend’s hand, and they walked forth together.
“Good morning!!!” they chirped, ducking into Wanmin with their beloved in tow. They knew they sounded more excited than normal. Knew that this might be mildly suspicious. But they didn’t care. Although he was a bit nervous about announcing their new relationship, he still couldn’t help but bounce into the familiar joint.
He spotted Xiangling and Xinyan at the counter, sitting together, laughing about something. When the two of them walked in, the girls merely waved, barely looking up from each other. Ah. The slight nerves fizzled away, replaced by a slight annoyance. His friends were too distracted to notice the way the two boy’s hands were tightly woven together, or the way they approached the counter in tandem.
“What can I get for you two?” Xiangling asked politely, and her usual smile was still bright enough to lit up the whole room.
“The usual,” he responded, and when no further questions were asked, he posed one. “What are you two up to?”
“We’re working on new snack ideas for my shows!” Xinyan chirped, grinning up at the both of them. Her grin, too, seemed bright enough to light up the room… was this a pyro vision thing?
“We’re trying to think of flavor combinations that could get people to release their inhibitions. Y’know, so they can really enjoy themselves! We have a theory that some of Liyue’s older inhabitants are too uptight to really let loose at a public concert. But if we feed them something that can kind of work the way some foods do on Chongyun, where they increase people’s yang energy… maybe they can get in touch with their feelings and have more fun!”
“That sounds like a tall order.”
“It is! It’ll also need to be something that people would want to eat at a show, y’know, hand held and bite sized. And Chongyun, you’re going to be an important part of the testing phase!”
“Absolutely not.”
“Aw, c’mon. We won’t feed you anything too wild. Not everyone likes spicy food, after all. And most of the testing phase will be us asking you which foods spike your yang energy. We’ll only need you to try some of the more… unique ingredients. And as a thank you, we’ll give you free meals for a week!”
“And free concert tickets for a month!” Xinyan added.
“Aren’t all of your concerts free anyway?” Chongyun asked, completely unpersuaded.
“Free VIP, backstage seats!”
Xingqiu eventually led a grumbling Chongyun to an open table. Sat next to him, rather than across, since they were lovers now. Didn’t let go of his hand until their food arrived. As they dug into their respective dishes, Xiangling went back to the counter, searching for something in one of the many compartments with Xinyan. Taking notes on the different potential ingredients. And while Xingqiu wasn’t sure exactly what they were concocting, he did hear whispers of “slime secretions” and “fungal spores” of all things. For once, they grimaced at the thought of what their poor boyfriend might have to endure.
Their boyfriend…
As frightening as the prospect was, he still wanted people to notice them. Because he loved Chongyun, truly, and he felt like everyone should know that such a hero was theirs. And so he turned towards his boyfriend. Thighs tapped together, he leaned forward, picking up a mouthful of noodles with his own chopsticks. Leaning towards Chongyun, he lifted his chopsticks to his mouth, a hand underneath. “Here, Yun. Say ‘aaah,’”
“Qiu,” he groaned, hand over his mouth. And while that blocked the chopsticks, it certainly didn’t block the scarlet blush that spread across his cheeks. “Stop trying to feed me.”
“Why?”
“It’s weird. I can feed myself.”
“Aww, don’t be like that,” he cooed, barely able to contain his giggles. “As your boyfriend, it’s my duty to spoil you. Not open wide, sweetheart~”
“Wait, WHAT?” Xiangling’s head popped up from behind the counter, jaw as wide open as the deceased main ingredient in her specialty dish.
A second later, Xinyan’s head appeared too. “What?” Clearly having not heard, she turned between Xiangling and Xingqiu for answers.
“Since when?” Xiangling asked, standing now.
“Last night,” Xingqiu answered, and then winked, and Chongyun could no longer stop his head from slumping backward with a groan. The last thing he caught was Xiangling turning to Xinyan, and then an excited squeal, and then everything was too overwhelming to interpret.
His head was swimming, each thought crashing into each other like a school of fish passing through a too-small current. But something pulled him out, and he realized Xingqiu was holding his hand, gently stroking his palm as he spoke to the two girls. Lifting his head, he saw the two of them sitting with them now, excitedly asking questions. And as overwhelming as it was, Xingqiu understood how he was feeling, and he scooted his chair closer to him. Leaning his head onto his boyfriend’s shoulder, Chongyun relaxed, and let him answer all their questions for the both of them.
