This Soap Has A Ghost

Chapter 5: Home

Chapter Text

Whiskey quickly trotted into Ghost's room, Soap following her and quickly shook Ghost awake, the man jolting up with a soft gasp, settling when he spotted Whiskey and Soap. "...Okay, maybe more than a few day." "Well, they certainly aren't happening as often as I was worried they would." Soap said as he took Ghost's hand and held it warmly.

"...Are you ok?" "Hmm? Oh, yeah. I'm fine, all healed up." "No, I mean… Are you okay?" Soap looked away from Ghost, thinking about it. "...I was waterboarded, hanged by my wrists and beaten. No food, only water. But, before you came to recuse me…" "What?" "The two guards that normally take me to my room took me somewhere else. Took me to a room with two more people waiting." Ghost's blood went cold. "...No. They didn't..?!" "They tried. Two of them pinned me to the desk, but I played soccer for a good chunk of my childhood; I've got a damn good kick when I need it. Fought back, they didn't want to attempt to…to rape me again after that."

"Managed to have enough energy and strength to still pose as a threat. Good boy." Soap felt something throb within him at that praise, but he didn't really focus on it right now. "What about you? Were you okay after I was taken?" "No. Hell no. I puked after you were gone, having a panic attack right then and there. I didn't eat, sleep, or talk for three days. …They were raping other people in that building, had flashbacks." "Wait, other people? So then--" "They wouldn't have lived long even if I did save them; the shame and guilt and trauma that comes from being raped like they were isn't something many can live with."

"You did." Ghost chuckled. "I'm petty." Soap smiled softly to him, still holding his hand. "...I was so scared I lost you forever." "I knew you'd find me before long before then." Soap said as he rested his head on Ghost's shoulder, the man leaning in to rest his own head against Soap's. "I love you, Johnny. More than the world. More than my own life." "...I love you too, Simon, but please don't leave me alone in this world. I don't want to think of living my life without you."
