Chapter Text
Enid could have sworn she heard a howl in the distance, but it wasn’t towards the direction of her pack. She shook her head in confusion as the nearest pack to the San Francisco one was in Orlando, which was literally miles away from where she was now.
The werewolf hoped it wasn’t anymore rogue wolves as she wasn’t really in the mood to fight again so soon, especially since she had an anonymous stalker after her chosen and her friend possibly being involved in some trouble to worry about.
Was peace and quiet too much to ask for? Enid had a feeling a huge storm was brewing ahead of them, and once again Wednesday was stuck in the middle of it. Which means she was also stuck in the middle of it because there was no chance in hell she was ever going to leave her mate’s side.
Things weren’t going to be easy, but taking a glance at Wednesday by her side? Enid knows everything they'll have to fight through would be worth it.

Wednesday felt dread creep up in her veins. She would never admit it, let alone to Bianca, but she was worried for her… friend.
Why did all her acquaintances have matriarchal issues? As far as literature and history go, protagonists usually had issues with their fathers, but it seemed like Nevermore was just a hotspot for outcasts with trauma from their mothers.
Her eye caught sight of Enid’s hand resting on the central console of the truck so she carefully and nonchalantly rested her hand against the blonde’s. Everything about Enid just had a way of calming her down.
A stalker was the least of her worries, but her vision had definitely worried her. How could someone sneak into the Addams’ property without detection? Her stalker must be some kind of special outcast with abilities unknown to them at the moment.
The future was unknown and all they had were here unfortunate visions of tragedy to guide them on the right path, but Wednesday was certain they’ll get through anything alive, she wouldn’t accept anything else otherwise.
—------------------------------
Thing was enjoying his relaxation on his hammock when he caught a glimpse of blonde strands appearing on his companion’s hair. He was unsure as it could have just been a trick of the light or something more supernatural at work, but he made a mental note to keep an eye on Wednesday.
He was certain he was going to be put to work as soon as they arrived at their destination. The life of an Addams is never easy after all, at least not until they settle down and start their own family while the children start the cycle all over again.
The hand was just thankful that Wednesday had met Enid and allowed herself to accept the bubbly blonde’s assistance in whatever adventure she gets tangled in. Three helping hands are better than one after all.

New Jersey, here we come.
