Chapter Text
Five Years Into The Future
From graduation to standing in front of so many pro heroes, he couldn’t believe his title now. Smiling as he heard what everyone was talking about, he was proud of himself. Announced two minutes earlier that he had risen from his “Japan’s Number Third” rank to the “Number One Pro Hero of Japan” he stood in his costume calmly. Izuku was trying not to shake, but with the comfort of Nana and the Users in his head, he covered his nerves with a smile. They were the new generation. The same feeling that came from the stage of his graduation occurred again as the paparazzi kept on taking photos of him as he stood next to Momo Yaoyorozu. She was in the “Japan’s Number Two” rank, dressed beautifully as Kyoka did her makeup again. It was euphoric as he nodded his head mindlessly to the announcer who was standing beside him.
“There we have it,” she smiled. “The Top Ten Pro Heroes In Japan.”
In 10th Place, there was Tenya Iida; Ingenium.
In 9th Place, there was Tsuyu Asui; Froppy.
In 8th Place, there was Neito Monoma; Phantom Thief.
In 7th Place, there was Kinoko Komori; Shemage.
In 6th Place, there was Rumi Usagiyama; Mirko.
In 5th Place, there was Ochako Uraraka; Uravity.
In 4th Place, there was Shouto Todoroki; Heaven.
In 3rd Place, there was Katsuki Bakugou; Dynamight.
In 2nd Place, there was Momo Yaoyorozu; Creati.
In 1st Place, there was him; Star.
He has a lot of things to say about the list, but he’s going to shorten his thoughts so the One For All Users can stop complaining about him thinking too fast and causing them all a headache. First of all, Mirko was the only pro hero of the previous generation (but as of yet, there is a high chance she’ll still be able to continue her streak while recovering from her arm injury); they’ve talked since the Jaku incident and she called him an asshole before saying how complicated his impressiveness was. So, they aren’t on bad terms. Secondly, Shouto changed his pro hero name from his given name to Heaven because he thought about one of his father’s super moves on day “Hell Fire” and thought what the opposite of that was, so he could train it with his ice, only to find out he liked the name “Heaven” so things for him were going well with it. Thirdly, Katsuki was going to be cracking it about the rankings, but that doesn’t matter. Forth and finally, there was a party after this at Ochako’s new mansion which she brought herself— that she was impressed about— with all the new moneys she’s got to burn somewhere so after giving her parents the luxury life, a mansion is what she wanted; only for parties that she held regularly with her friends. Their lives were great, Izuku thinks.
Talking to a lot of people as he left the ceremony, getting patted on the back, he had a couple of kids crash into him as soon as he got behind the doors of his own house. Ishihara, Eri, and Kota. He looked up to see Shouta with his hair back, Hitoshi leaning against the door as he put his things down. “These kids couldn’t wait until tomorrow to see you.” He mumbled as he went over to his coffee machine to get himself a drink. Turning to him, his father rolled his eyes at him. “Don’t worry, I’ll also make a cup of coffee for the both of you too.” Smiling as he turned his attention back onto the teenagers, it seemed as if Shouta was babysitting.
“Izuku, are you going to that really cool party Ochako’s hosting?”
“Yup,” he smiles. “I’m going to be exhausted.”
“Good job on getting number one, bro.”
“Thanks—“
Getting hugged by Ishihara, Eri soon joined in, putting Kota in to hug him too. Since they were growing rapidly for teenager/preteens, Izuku pulled them into his grasp as he hugged them. “Love you guys,” he mumbled as he did an awkward waltz with them to go over to the kitchen to fetch himself his coffee.
Kota, like always, was defensive. “Okay, off off.”
He smiled as he drank his coffee piping hot, Hitoshi going over and leaning on the table. He looked exhausted. “What’s up your ass?” He asked as he leant against the table, back turned to him. “You looked like you’ve just shitted out ten bricks.” In hearing that insult, Hitoshi chugged the coffee, glaring at him.
“Tough mission lately, that’s all.” Izuku shrugged, looking back at the kids.
“What do you guys think?”
“Sleeping pills!” Eri smiles.
“I actually wouldn’t mind one.”
“Okay, I’m going to change, I have an event to go too.”
“Send me a pic?”
“‘Kay,” he mumbled as he went towards his room.
Now what to wear.
*******
“Star, what do you have to say for the most recent controversy between—“
“Star, do you have a moment to pose?”
“Star! Can you tell us what you think about Endeavour’s retirement?”
“How has your agency between Creati and Heaven progressing?”
“Are you planning on going on another mission with Dynamight soon?”
“Since the Jaku Battle, how do you think your moves have improved?”
“Any updates on Shigaraki?”
Sighing as he goes to the entrance of Ochako’s house, he smiles when he sees his friends start to line up on the red carpet she brought for ‘entrances,’ IDs getting checked at the top of the hill as pro heroes pose and people on the invited list smile. Izuku ignores all of that though as he pushes though, not giving a shit about posing while all of his friends were already inside. Must’ve been a shock to see him turn up so late. “Star, what are you thoughts about—“
“No comment.”
‘Punch him in the face,’ his father says.
‘Don’t do that!’
Ignoring his idiot thoughts, he goes into the building after giving the security guards his ID and went into the familiar house as he moved around people. Now, to find out where his group was. Seeing Kyoka and Momo making out with each other as they moved to a bedroom, Izuku kept that information away for if someone needed to know where they were so he could make up an excuse for them. Finding Shouto, who was drinking heavily on the couch, whilst Katsuki grumbled on the ground while watching Denki, Mina, Hanta, Ejirou and Ochako playing twister, he looked high again. Sitting down next to Shouto who looked very drunk, he smiled as he took the bottle from him to continue his legacy. Izuku laughed as Hanta welcomed him.
Tsuyu walked over with bubbles as she sat down besides him, talking to Tenya who was multitasking work while being at the party at the same time. Izuku took out his cigarettes and began to smoke as Mina stopped playing to take pictures of them as she too was drunk. Great, he mumbled. Drunk pictures.
Smiling as he began to chug the vodka for the photo, he smiled as he finished it, continuing to smoke. Looking at Shouto who was passed out, he turned his head to Katsuki who was trying to concentrate. “How many joints and drinks have these guys had?” He asked.
“Too many!”
Such a good answer Ochako, standing up to grab himself another drink, he came back to see the whole twister game abandoned as the table dancing begins. Taking out his own phone, he shoots shots of their whole class as they begin to make him laugh as they all show their truth colours.
Oh, how they were dumb.
But they’re his type of dumb.
