Peter is standing outside a house, only the front door is visible behind him “You guys asked for this…” he sighs “Welcome to the Marauder House Tour!”
He opens the door and steps into the house “We start our tour in the entrance/hallway.” The camera does a slow pan of the entrance and Peter narrates what is seen “Nothing really spectacular here. Front door, key holder, coat rack, the stairs and a house plant courtesy of Prongs.” He zooms in on the plant next to the door “Through the archway to our left we have the living room and a wild James Potter in its natural habitat.”
James is sat on a light blue sofa. A TV hangs on the wall in front of him; the only light in the room is coming from a window on the opposite side of the room to Peter. The messy haired boy looks up from his place on the sofa “Afternoon” he nods in Pete’s direction
“Watching anything interesting mate?”
James just shrugs “Rewatching season 1 of the Umbrella Academy” On the TV; a short haired man can be seen punching what looks like a 13 year old.
“Fair enough” Peter answers. He turns and films the opposite side of the living room “Moving on we have a random picture that Sirius found at a car boot sale,” the picture is that of a campervan that has been painted on 3 separate planks of wood held together by some white rope “here are 2 bookshelves filled with books that only Remus’ has read. On the floor is a very stylish rug we got from IKEA and in front of the window we have a nice little wooden bench. Stood next to it is yet another house plant, also courtesy of Prongs.”
“What’s wrong with Charlotte?” James can be heard asking from behind the camera
“Charlotte?”
“It’s a spider plant so I named her after the spider in Charlotte’s Web” Peter turn the camera back towards James and asks the other male if the one in the hall has a name too, causing James to nod and answer “Yeah he’s called David. After David Bowie, may he rest in peace.”
“Sirius didn’t happen to have a say in that one, did he?”
“Nope” the bespectacled boy shakes his head “It’s a China Doll Bonsai; Bowie has a song called China Girl so boom: David.”
Peter just laughs “So I’m gonna take a wild shot in the dark here and guess the one upstairs in the game room also has a name?”
“Richard. He’s a Rubber Plant”
“Ok then… I’ll leave you to your Netflix Prongs”
“See ya!”
Peter heads back out in to the entrance hall and turns left, taking the viewers into the kitchen/dining room. The kitchen cabinets are black and the tops are a grey marble. On the right hand side of the room is the table, it is also black but the 6 chairs surrounding it are all different. There are 3 black ones that originally came with the table as a set, 2 blue ones and a pink one. Peter narrates this to his audience.
He then moves over to the fish tank in the corner, inside are 4 goldfish “viewers I would like to introduce you to: Ringo, Wilde, Brian and Orange… I will follow the first person on Twitter who can correctly tell me which fish belongs to who.” He once again turns round and opens up a door next to the archway; it is separated from the kitchen/dining room by a wall. “This is the downstairs loo, nothing particularly special about it, literally just a toilet and a sink. Right time to head upstairs!”
The video shows Peter trekking back through the archway and into the hall, he then turns and walks up the stairs. As he walks he turns the camera back to face himself “Fun fact: This house was originally a 5 bedroom student accommodation. The owner wanted to sell it so we decided to buy it from him, with the help of The Potters and Sirius’ uncle.”
He reaches the top of the stairs, flips the camera back around and we can see 2 doors on the left-hand side of the corridor and 3 doors on the right. “First door on the right is James’ room.” He says as he taps the door with his hand “It is also technically Lily’s room if she stays the night. I would go in but it’s still covered in googly eyes and I don’t feel like being judged. You don’t know what it feels like being looked down at by a wardrobe but it is weirdly intimidating. Anyway, across from it is the bathroom, identical to the one downstairs but with a shower/bath. Middle room on the right belongs to Sirius and Remus” He knocks on the door.
“Oh hey Pete” Remus greets his friend upon opening the door
“Hey”
“What you up to?”
“I’m filming a house tour”
“Fair enough” the amber eyed boy nods “I would let you come in but I’m currently unpacking so there’s stuff everywhere”
“It’s no problem. Did you have fun in Wales?” Pete asks
Remus shrugs “It was alright. Had the christening on the 2nd day so we were able to get settled at my Mamma’s house and have a look around when we got there. The day after my uncle had a BBQ so we spent the day at his house. What did you lot do whilst I was gone? Minus Sirius and his so called ‘revenge’”
“Not a lot to be honest” Peter shakes his head. “Prongs and I played a few co-op games, we all watched a couple of movies. Most of the time we were trying to stop Padfoot from whining about you absence.
Remus just smiles “Sounds like normal then” he laughs
“Yep. I’m actually surprised he’s not in there with you”
“He was, I kicked him out. It is very difficult trying to unpack when you have what is essentially a moody 4 year old moaning about not having enough attention.”
“Ok then”
“I’m gonna continue unpacking, have fun on the last leg of your tour” Remus jokes as he heads back inside his bedroom and shuts the door
“You heard the man. Last room on the right is my domain!” Peter opens the door and pans the camera around his room. A Tetris lamp is seen on his bedside table, a wall decal of space invaders is above his desk in the corner of the room. He has shelves on the wall filled with comics, figurines and pop vinyls. “I know it looks quite childish but I think it looks awesome! I mean just look at my very grown up Pac-Man bed sheets! I love them! They were a Christmas present from Prongs.” He steps back out into the hallway and closes his bedroom door.
“Last but not least we have the office/game room. This was originally the 2 other bedrooms but thanks to Sirius’ uncle we were able to knock the wall down and turn it into 1 big room.” When entering the room, a massive TV screen can be seen on the opposite wall, 4 beanbags situated in front of it. Various game consoles are littered around it, wires plugged into all sorts of adapters and sockets. There is a bookshelf filled with different games and some more figurines. On the left hand side of the room is what Peter dubbed the ‘office’. 2 desks are side by side, both containing computer monitors. Off to the side are some ring lights and camera equipment. Sirius is sat in one of the computer chairs aimlessly scrolling through his phone. “Hey Pads”
“Sup” Sirius responds, turning his phone off and looking up at his friend
“What you up to in here?”
Sirius sighs dramatically before wailing “I’m waiting for Moony to finish unpacking because I have waited 3 days to kiss him and he’s being mean!” He collapses back against the chair “So I decided to try and distract myself on tumblr”
Peter chuckles “Let me guess, you’re on his tag?”
“No… yes… shut up!”
“Well if you want you can be tour guide for this room?”
Sirius thinks for a second before he nods and stands up “Sure.” Immediately he slips into the role “Welcome Field Mice to where the magic happens! And by that I mean the gaming, the filming and the editing. Over here we have our TV area. Various consoles from over the years, some beanbags and Moony’s record player. If you look up you’ll see a disco ball. I have no idea why but when we first moved in me and James decided that this room just needed a disco ball, so we brought one. Erm,” he looks around “here’s a house plant…?”
“Richard” Peter adds helpfully
“I didn’t know it had a name… hi Richard, I’m Sirius”
Remus’ voice is heard off camera “Is Padfoot talking to a plant?”
Peter nods off camera and Sirius spins round at the sound of Remus’ voice
“You done?” He asks hopefully
“Yep””
“SWEET!” The long haired boy yells. He then grabs Remus’ wrist and turns round to face Peter “Sorry Wormy but I’m handing in my notice” He then pulls Remus out of the room and we hear their bedroom door shut.
Peter turns the camera back to himself “Well who didn’t see that coming?” He shakes his head in amusement. “But yeah, that was the Marauders lair. Hope you enjoyed. I’m probably gonna go join Prongs downstairs. Until next time guys, smell ya later!”
An after credit blooper scene is shown after the end title screen of Peter stood outside the house “Welcome to the Marau-” a car can be heard zooming past “Yep, nice, cheers for that”
It cuts to another blooper in the same location. “You guys asked for this… Welcome to-” A car alarm is heard in the near distance “For fucks sake, it’s not like I’m trying to film or anything!”
Peter opens his mouth to speak and a motorbike drives past. Peter closes his eyes and takes a deep breath “Note to self, never try to film outside ever again!”
