Chapter Text
Jayce had decided not to intervene with Viktor's process any more than necessary, and just to wait and see how much he could recover on his own without the involvement of hextech. Despite the progress feeling so minuscule, it was still progress. Viktor was changing back, slowly but surely, and Jayce could not press enough how giant of a weight off his chest it was.
Viktor's state of mind had recently been much more stable, no longer continuously that of confusion and uncertainty, even though he still had some moments of unclarity. Sometimes it took him a while to process if something he did was a cat behavior or a human behavior, and although some mishaps still occurred rather often, Viktor was remembering more and more about how his life used to be.
Jayce didn't want to act like an overbearing mother, tried not to fuss over Viktor's every little action, but he had to admit that it took a considerable amount of willpower not to rush in and correct Viktor when he had some small relapse after making such a great improvement. Especially because Viktor barely needed it. Most of his cat-like behavior had dropped away completely, and although some of it was still persisting, at least he wasn't depended on Jayce's guidance with everything anymore.
Jayce wouldn't necessarily say that there was not any issues left to solve, but then again, most of the cat things happened only around Jayce these days. If you didn't spend a whole day with Viktor, you couldn't probably even tell that there was something abnormal about him at all.
It made Jayce so happy to see his best friend and partner returning to a man Jayce knew and loved, and Jayce was very confident that Viktor would get the hang of it faster than than he would even notice, and soon they could go back to being the way they used to be.
Well.
Except that they couldn't.
Because even though Viktor was making steady progress, he was still showing no signs of the slightest doubt that he and Jayce were an item. And Jayce still wasn't sure what he should do about it. He knew that the awkward situation they were currently in could've been avoided completely, had he been even half of the man the posters all around the city made him look like, if he'd just told Viktor from the very start that they were not actually a pair. But now it was too late to change that. Now he just worried himself to dead with the possible ways to break the news, and feared his heart out with what would happen afterwards.
Should he just let things lie and see what would happen, or act like a real man and admit that he had been deceiving Viktor, and making him believe that there was something going on between them that there really wasn't? They were both cruel ways to handle the situation, but eventually Jayce would need to make that choice, or it would be made for him.
Jayce would never admit his own faults out loud if it wasn't forced out of him, but he knew that he was being very selfish and greedy right now. The truth was that he didn't want Viktor to go back to the man he had been before, the man who kept mostly to himself, the man who was guarded and withdrawn, the man who kept everyone at arm's length away, showing his softer side very sparsely and rarely.
No, Jayce wanted Viktor to keep being open with him, to be comfortable enough to not hide even his less agreeable sides, to be vulnerable and weak and fragile, because he felt safe being so with Jayce.
Jayce wished that they could stay like this forever, and even if Viktor's occasional cat antics were certainly a thing to deal with, Jayce would take them any day if it meant that Viktor would keep being close to him.
Besides, the things Viktor did were downright adorable at times.
Viktor would still sometimes bring him gifts he had 'hunted' and presented them to Jayce with proud expression, positively beaming when Jayce accepted them. And really, how was he supposed to not accept them? They were very odd and useless, things like old teabags, leaves, rocks and small spares parts, but Viktor had given them to Jayce, so Jayce took them with gratitude and refused to just throw them away. No matter how disgusting or useless, they were gifts from Viktor, so no, Jayce wouldn't throw away any of them! They were precious, thoughtful gifts that Jayce appreciated very much!
It had been around a week or two at this point since Viktor had kissed Jayce, and after that little thing, Viktor had become more affectionate than Jayce had ever seen him before.
It was as if that little kiss had been a key to a lock, and now the door was wide open and Viktor had gone wild with the newfound sense of freedom to roam inside Jayce's heart. And Jayce, despite feeling guilty about it, had absolutely nothing to complain. He loved how Viktor would gently push his head against Jayce as he walked by, how he sometimes liked to climb on Jayce's lap and sit there while they worked, how he practically slept on top of Jayce every night (which kinda made it a bit difficult to breathe, but it was a small price to pay. Breathing was over-rated anyway).
Viktor had never really cared what other people thought of him before, but now he didn't seem to have a single fuck left to give, and it was a little bit embarrassing when they ate lunch, and Viktor tried to lick Jayce's hands clean afterwards, and it was a little bit annoying, when Viktor would push something Jayce worked on out of his way and sit on the table to stare at Jayce with mischievous gleam in his eye, and it was a little bit awkward, when Viktor would start purring loudly whenever Jayce as much as glanced in his direction.
But gods if it wasn't so damn cute.
One time Jayce caught Viktor laying on the desk, papers scattered around him, curled up to sunbathe in the stray sunbeam that shone between the blinds.
Even if it was very cute indeed, Jayce knew that Viktor would not and could not stay like that for much longer. Like Jayce had already anticipated, it had gotten nearly impossible to hide what had happened from the council, so Jayce had just told everyone that this was all part of a totally-planned-and-exactly-according-to-a-carefully-calculated-experiment they had decided to run. Neither their assistants nor the council were very convinced, but since nobody could prove anything, they let Jayce and Viktor escape with a little slap on the wrist.
The only real problem had been when Councilor Salo had sneered and made a comment that this wasn't what they were paying for Jayce to do, and Viktor had hissed and tried to bite him, and Jayce just barely prevented him from actually sinking his teeth onto the poor man's hand.
That sure was an expression he had never seen on any of the council member's faces before, when he offered them a halfhearted and hasty apology, dragging the spitting, hissing Viktor out before there would be some more serious consequences.
When he had tried to chastise Viktor for attempting to bite a councilor, Viktor had just growled and pouted.
"He offended you. Not acceptable." Viktor had grumbled under his breath, resting his head on Jayce's shoulder and spending the rest of the day glaring at people who he deemed untrustworthy (Which was apparently half of the whole Piltover and then some).
Simultaneously both the best and the worst part of Viktor's cat endeavors was definitely the fact that he had not stopped his continuous attempts at licking at Jayce. It was getting mortifying to sit on a chair, trying to solve some problem he had run into, and suddenly there would be a warm, wet tongue starting to bathe his ear in earnest.
Jayce could swear that there was a tempest in his gut every time that happened, judging from how everything in his belly started to churn and swell like an untamed ocean. Viktor seemed pleased by it, running his slender fingers on Jayce's chest and purring softly, as if rewarding him for accepting his touch. Jayce just let that happen, unsure of what else to do without hurting Viktor's feelings.
He was so selfish, and he knew it.
Jayce didn't know what to do about the fact that Viktor still thought they were, umh, mates for each other. Which Jayce would've liked more than anything, and since Viktor seemed to really want it too, he didn't think there was any harm in playing along... but he still felt like he was somehow taking advantage of it. Because he was, wasn't he?
It was really just a big misunderstanding that Jayce had let slide, and there was a nagging little voice in his head (that for some reason sounded a little bit like Caitlyn) that reminded him that it was just a matter of time before Viktor would remember that they were not that kind of partners, and Jayce would have to face the consequences of his little white lie.
It was so hard to think that he would have to break up with Viktor though, when the other man kept courting him, thinking there was nothing strange about it. Jayce couldn't lie, he loved the feeling of Viktor cuddling up to him when he got in bed. He loved it when Viktor was holding Jayce's clothes in his arms and trying to rub his scent into them to establish that they belonged together. Jayce loved Viktor giving him gifts and bringing his own things inside Jayce's bedroom to make a nice, cozy nest for them. He loved Viktor kissing him and stroking his arms and rubbing his nose on his cheek.
Most of all, Jayce loved how unashamedly Viktor wanted all of it.
And that terrified him, because he knew that one day something in Viktor's head would click, and he would make the connection that oh, Jayce was his lab partner, and the reason they were so close was because they were friends, and whatever memories Viktor had decided to read as a couple spending time together were likely just two friends hanging out after work.
But until that moment, Jayce tried his best to help Viktor restore his humanity and show him that he was loved no matter what.
Jayce shook his head and returned back to working with the new blueprints for mining equipment they had been planning. That was not something for him to worry about right now. Things were gonna get back to normal sooner than he would even notice, even if he kind of didn't want them to, but not right now. Right now he needed to work.
He tried very hard not to pay attention to the body on his lap or the deft, delicate fingers playing with his hair. He could feel Viktor's chest vibrating against him as the low, steady purr welled from his partner. Every once in a while Viktor stopped what he was doing, only to give Jayce a small headbutt or press his lips on his stubble to caress him with his mouth. It made Jayce feel like his face was melting.
Suddenly Viktor made a curious noise and pulled back, just a little bit, to look at Jayce.
"You smell... happy." he stated, his tail curling around Jayce's leg. Jayce wasn't sure if Viktor was aware that he was doing that. His tail seemed to pretty much do whatever it wanted without Viktor's conscious participating in the matter.
"Um, uhh... Yeah. Yep." Jayce answered, trying way too hard to act natural and keep working as if he wasn't concentrating very hard to not pop a boner every time Viktor's voice purred something against his skin. Viktor hummed, furrowing his brows, and leaned closer to smell Jayce again, behind his ear. His lips cracked open and Jayce could feel his teeth drag gently along his skin. A shiver ran through him, and he gave up with the notes he had tried to concentrate on.
"Smell very happy." Viktor repeated, finger's playing in Jayce's hair "Like a happy mate. You're ready...?"
Jayce paused, actually having to process what Viktor just said.
"What-"
"I'm ready too." Viktor purred in a low voice, snuggling against Jayce with a little bit more force than usual.
"Ready for what?" Jayce squeaked out, cheeks burning hot and neck suddenly sweaty. He took a quick glance around the room, even though he knew they were alone. Viktor hummed and ran his nails over Jayce's skin, making a low, pleasant noise quietly.
"Ready to breed of course."
Jayce could not handle it anymore. He jolted up, not even realizing how a very startled Viktor fell down from his lap, as he speed-walked to the door. Then he realized he couldn't just leave, because how terrible would that make Viktor feel, and ended up just letting out a deep, deeeep sigh, and thudding his head against the door.
This was getting ridiculous. While Jayce was just about completely sure that Viktor was in a position to consent, he still felt like he was tricking Viktor if he let something like that happen. It was a completely different thing to let Viktor be close to him and enjoy the touch that the other man so rarely indulged in, but actually partake in sexual acts with him...
Jayce shut his eyes and bit his lip. It's not like he had never thought of Viktor like that before. It's not like Viktor had never visited his dreams that led his pants feeling very sticky and uncomfortable when he woke up. It's not like there wouldn't be a possibility that this was what both of them wanted, and the feelings Jayce himself harbored were mutual.
But.
And it was a big But:
Wouldn't it be wrong to lead Viktor on, when he wasn't exactly aware that he wasn't Jayce's? Was this taking away Viktor's right to choose to enter a relationship with him? Viktor was very clearly okay with this, he seemed very happy that Jayce was his partner, and damn if Jayce wasn't so tempted to play a happy couple forever...
BUT. No matter how eager Viktor was, no matter how enthusiastically he showed his consent, no matter how clearly he wanted to have some kind of relationship with Jayce... This wouldn't really be a right way to do it. Jayce should wait for Viktor to remember everything, should wait for Viktor to be in better control of his instincts, his emotions, his needs...
"Am I not good?"
Jayce snapped out of his head, turning around to look at Viktor, who had sat down on the floor, backed up against the table and curled his tail around himself protectively. He was watching Jayce sharply, inspecting his every move carefully, whole body suddenly wary and tense.
"What?" Jayce asked, staring at Viktor with wide eyes. Viktor sank between his shoulders and glanced away.
"I don't- I don't not understand why... why do you reject me."
Jayce frowned. Viktor was uncomfortable. He forgot how to use words in situations where he felt too overwhelmed or stressed out, and Jayce felt immediate need to sweep him to his arms and kiss everything better.
"Viktor..." he started softly, but the other man only shook his head and rose his shoulders higher.
"I want home."
"Viktor..."
"Home. I- I am going home." Viktor stood up and winced at the pain that a reckless step caused him, stumbling to balance himself against the table. Jayce hurried to him, snatching his cane and placing it into his hand firmly.
"Viktor-"
Viktor was apparently not happy with the fact that Jayce had paid attention to his pain instead of paying attention to how upset he was over the 'rejection', and probably just to be petty, the zaunite just pushed Jayce away and limped towards the door, the fur of his tail fuzzy with anger.
Jayce watched him go, an uneasy feeling smoldering in his chest as he accepted the fact that he had been trying to avoid so hard until now: He was hurting Viktor like this. He wouldn't let Viktor close, yet he wouldn't let him go, either. He was a selfish, terrible person who had excused things a way too long to protect his own feelings, ending up playing with Viktor's own instead.
Jayce let out another sigh, that was so deep it burned in his throat. He felt like he was sighing a lot these days. He called out to Sky, asking her to handle the work for the rest of the day and lock up when she'd leave.
Then Jayce picked up his jacket and walked after Viktor.
It was time to come clean.
---
When Jayce arrived home, he found his living room in a state of an absolute chaos. The furniture had been pushed over, the houseplant, along with it's vase, laid all over the place in small pieces. The notebooks and small decoratives were splayed around the room, as if someone had carelessly thrown them around with no direction or disregard.
Jayce groaned and rubbed both of his hands on his face, counting to ten. He had to count to ten a few times in a row.
In hindsight, he should've expected something like this to happen eventually. Viktor had always been passionate in both good and bad ways, and even if he had acted somewhat polite and civil as a human, he didn't seem to have the same self-restriction as a cat. Hence, the abused houseplant and destroyed couch.
Jayce should've started to clean the place up, but instead he turned his attention to the bedroom door, where the trail of evidence of a temper tantrum seemed to be heading. He opened the door carefully, and sure enough, found Viktor in the bed, under all of the blankets and pillows that the other man had thrown into a big pile.
Jayce couldn't see a single glimpse of the other man, but he knew Viktor was there; For one, the pile of blankets was hilariously big, a perfect cave for a distressed cat man. And secondly, the more telling sign was the quiet but continuous muttering that could be heard under the sheets.
Jayce sighed and walked to the bed, sitting down slowly. As the frame gently creaked under his weight, the mumble under the blankets stopped abruptly.
Jayce allowed the silence to exists between them for a moment, before scratching his neck and groaning anxiously.
"Viktor. I think... I think it's time to talk about this whole uh, cat situation." he begun hesitantly, pausing to see what reaction that caused. The blankets were dead silent, so he just continued "The tail is one thing and it doesn't really bother me, but do you even understand that you're actually a man? Do you understand that we are friends, and we work together, and you are not my cat?"
The pile of blankets was quiet and still. Jayce wondered if Viktor was perhaps too angry to answer, or maybe he didn't have an answer at all, but then there was a shuffling sound, and the sheets cracked open to reveal a pair of yellow eyes inside the darkness.
Jayce felt the uneasiness grow when they stared at each other. He had let things go too far, he knew, and now it would come to an end, and he had no idea how it would play out.
Viktor lifted his head out of the small hole in his blanket-nest, and now Jayce could see the smudged tear traces glowing softly on his cheeks, and red little circles puffy and irritated around his eyes. Jayce swallowed. Viktor was looking at him silently a little while longer before hanging his head.
"I remember things." he started slowly, as if tasting the sentence on his tongue. His voice was small and nervous, ashamed. He gave Jayce a quick glance before going on, warily "I think... you have not noticed how much I really know already. I do remember a lot, actually. I, I know I'm not really a cat. Sometimes it still feels like I am, it's uh, easier to be like that, but I know I'm not. I remember working in the lab, I remember living on my own. I think I remember-" another hesitant pause, where Viktor gave Jayce a defeated look, backing down to his nest slightly "I think I remember not being together with you."
Jayce swallowed around the thick lump in his throat and nodded. So, the cat was out of the bag now. Viktor remembered he wasn't Jayce's partner in any romantic or sexual sense. It was over. Part of him felt relieved, but the other part was upset. He tried to concentrate on the first one.
"I used to have dreams." Viktor whispered "They were about you. I think I... I remembered wrong, mixed up dreams with reality." he sounded so small and ashamed, like a little kid admitting to breaking a very expensive family heirloom. He had started avoiding Jayce's eyes again.
Jayce let his lips crack open a sliver, batting his eyes in confusion. The smolder in his chest caught a breeze, and he felt the warm starting to spread to is cheeks.
"So... you know that we're not...? Why? Why didn't you say anything?" he whispered, feeling confused and, ironically, a little bit betrayed "Why did you let me think that you didn't remember?"
Viktor winced, disappearing back underneath his hiding place almost completely.
"... I hoped it might be true, I guess. I wanted to... I was hoping you wanted to..." Jayce could hear the crack in Viktor's voice, the way it trembled as the other man worked to keep it steady "I felt was embarrassed and scared and, and you made me feel like-"
Viktor stopped to swallow down a quiet sob, but Jayce still managed to hear it.
"I wanted to believe it was real, even when I could tell you hesitated..." Viktor continued after a while "I crossed the line, I should've told you that I remember. I'm sorry. If just asked you if things were the way I thought, before doing anything, maybe you wouldn't... I should- I'm sorry I didn't-"
Viktor paused again to gather himself, and Jayce had never wanted to hold him so badly. But he was afraid to move, afraid to approach Viktor in fear that he might cause Viktor to close off again, and that's the last thing he wanted. So against his every instinct, he waited patiently for Viktor to get himself together and go on.
"I'm sorry that I... I shouldn't have- I just thought that- I understand if... I... I shouldn't have made you deal with this more than you were already forced to, I-I... I can move out, just, give me uh, few hours to gather my things and, and I, I-"
Viktor's voice was getting faster, frantic and panicky. Jayce didn't know what to say. His head was screaming with questions, each one fighting for his attention. How long had Viktor known? How much did he remember? When had he connected the dots, was all of this an act? Why hadn't Viktor said anything, how long had he felt this way, when did he stop believing he was just a slightly overgrown cat?
Viktor's rambling had quieted into unsteady murmurs. He looked like he was merely a second away from jumping up and running away from the situation. When he risked a glance at Jayce again, his eyes were gleaming with unshed tears, and this time Jayce didn't think twice before throwing his arms around the blanket cocoon and pulling Viktor close, gaining a surprised and confused sound from inside.
"It's okay, I understand." He whispered, and the blanket made a small, curious yet careful movement, before the familiar sight of yellow eyes appeared to peer at him.
"... Really?" Viktor asked, rather skeptical edge in his voice.
Jayce released an unsteady chuckle "Uh, yeah, the things is that I... Uhh, I actually was kind of hoping we could pretend to be together, too. I liked it."
".... what."
"Sorry, I just... I didn't mean to trick you, I swear, I just really liked being with you and-"
Viktor leaned closer.
"Why?" he breathed out in a disbelieving voice. It reminded Jayce of the tone Viktor used when he was genuinely curious and trying to understand something that he couldn't make heads or tails of. An equation that didn't make sense to him. Jayce felt the warm in his cheeks rise all the way up to his ears.
"Um. B-because... because you mean a lot to me and I like it when you want to be close to me and living together with you made me kind of happy and these past few weeks have been the best days of my life...?" the confession came out in a big bundle of word vomit. Viktor blinked in surprise. Then he opened his mouth, and the words were falling out so fast that even Jayce had trouble understanding what Viktor tried to tell him.
"Why are you did feel like you tell me Jayce what why what are now you mean you to tell mean me sooner since when?!?"
Jayce blinked once, trying to parse some coherent sentence together from all of that, but eventually he ended up just sighing deep, hoping really hard he wasn't offending Viktor by failing to understand. By all means, the last thing he wanted to do was to make Viktor feel stupid for something that wasn't his fault.
"Can you calm down and try again, maybe?"
Viktor huffed out a breath and was quiet for a second, before inhaling slow and steady.
"Do you really feel like that?" he asked, very slowly, clearly concentrating on how the words worked, again.
"Yeah."
"Since when?"
Jayce shrugged.
"I don't know... since, a long time ago? I mean I've always liked spending time with you, it just grew different over time and I didn't really notice when it started being less about being glad that I finally had someone to work with, and more about just being close to you. I just... want you in my life more."
Viktor stared at him, swallowing audibly, eyes big with both hope and fear.
"You mean... you really want me?"
The smolder in Jayce's chest was starting to feel more like an inferno.
"Yeah, I mean of course I do, I um- I want a lot of things with you and if this could be one of them then-" Jayce silenced himself when Viktor's slender fingers touched his jaw, thumb flying lightly over his lower lip. He still had a bit cautious expression on his face. His eyes were searching Jayce's own, looking for an answer, a promise that this was real and he wouldn't be pushed away again.
"I want you too. I mean, you've probably noticed that by now." Viktor laughed awkwardly.
The tips of Jayce's ears weren't warm any longer, they were positively burning. His whole face was burning. Hell, his whole body was. He couldn't help the goofy smile that rose to his face.
"Nice. I mean, thank you. I-I mean-"
Viktor chuckled wetly through the remaining tears in his eyes, but when Jayce reached his hand to touch the other man, Viktor suddenly recoiled.
"Jayce, I have to tell you something..." he explained quickly, embarrassment burning his face "There is this cat thing that I... I can't make go away no matter how much I try and, and I feel like, um, I think..."
Jayce tilted his head, brows knitting together in sudden worry.
"What is it? Is something wrong? Can I help?"
Viktor looked absolutely horrified at his suggestion, and it made Jayce feel even more worried over this thing that was troubling Viktor.
"After I kissed you... there's been this... this need in me, and... and I think..." Viktor blushed, completely flustered and embarrassed, and Jayce cocked his head.
"It's okay, V. Whatever it is, we will handle it together. You're not alone, I will do everything I can to help you." Jayce promised, and it made Viktor look even more mortified than before. Viktor swallowed and took in a slow breath, and the yellow eyes met Jayce's own carefully, nervously.
"I think I'm in... h... heat."
The gear in Jayce's head got stuck for a second or two, and instead of mustering up an answer, he just stared at Viktor like an idiot. Viktor rose up his hands to cover his face, whimpering.
"I don't know how to explain, my body feels hot and needy and I, I have this terrible urge to, um... to have sex with you. It's been driving me crazy. And I don't know how to make it stop."
Jayce swallowed, mouth suddenly very dry.
"Are you sure that it's a cat thing?" he asked, and Viktor nodded weakly.
"Don't misunderstand wrong... I want you, but this different. Been difficult being close, when all I can think is your dick inside me." the man practically whined, still hiding behind his hands. Jayce's whole face was burning so hot and his neck felt so sweaty that he was surprised his skin wasn't melting right off. Oh gods.
"So, uhh... when you said you were ready to breed, you..." Jayce mumbled, watching Viktor lean further into his nest, clearly embarrassed beyond measure, and the younger man decided to take pity on him.
"It's okay, you know. I can help you with that."
"How...? I don't want to force you to-"
"Viktor" Jayce let out a tender laugh, and touched the other man's shoulder gently "You're not forcing me. If anything, I fear that I might be forcing you, because you know, this isn't exactly something you have any control over... And I want you, and I want to be with you, but I would never do anything to hurt you."
Viktor cracked his fingers slightly apart to peek at Jayce "This isn't something I don't want, Jayce. It's just... a bit much."
Jayce bit his lip.
"If you're okay with it - and only if you're truly okay with it - I wouldn't be opposed to-"
Jayce had barely even finished the sentence, when Viktor practically fought his way out of the blankets and soon the sharp nails dug into Jayce's cheeks, as he was pulled against Viktor without any warning. Their lips smashed together, and all thoughts fled Jayce's head. Viktor was already heaving with breaths, almost like he had finally flipped the switch he hadn't dared before. He was grinding against Jayce, whole body trembling in excitement.
Okay, not really what Jayce had had in mind, but he was not going to complain. If this was the best way to help Viktor, then he had absolutely nothing against it. He managed to break away from the kiss, which made Viktor groan in frustration and rut against him harder, trying to reclaim his mouth.
"Viktor-"
"Jayce" Viktor gasped, breathing growing faster.
"Vik, maybe slow down..."
Viktor did no such thing, hand going down to yank at Jayce's pants impatiently.
"Off." he demanded between heavy, fast huffs of air, grinding his crotch on Jayce's knee. Jayce could feel the bulge in there, wet and warm and hard. He was about to say something, make sure that thinks weren't going too fast more for Viktor's sake than his own, but the other man found his lips before he could even begin to answer and took him into another heated kiss.
Now Jayce understood why Viktor had been so annoyed and short of temper. Now he understood why he had tried to bite a councilor, now he understood why he had wrecked the whole living room. There must've been a lot of burning desire to hold back, and if he had forced himself to endure all of this in silence, it must've been driving him insane.
Jayce wanted to protect him, wanted to make sure that there wasn't some miscommunication going on, wanted to make sure that Viktor was in his right mind and Jayce wasn't taking advantage of him, but it was getting kind of hard to think when most of his blood wasn't currently flowing into his brain.
With a strong grip Jayce took Viktor by his biceps, and turned him on his back on the mattress. At first Viktor protested, thinking that Jayce tried to push him away, but when Jayce climbed over him and continued kissing him, Viktor mewled and threw one of his arms around Jayce's shoulders, the other one traveling down to grope him through his pants.
Jayce's head was reeling. He couldn't believe that this was happening, that this was real and Viktor was really here, touching him and kissing him and wanting him. Not just because he had understood wrong, but because the misunderstanding had been cleared and this was what they both wanted, what they both desired. It was almost scary how right it felt, how Viktor's lips tasted just how Jayce had always imagined they would, and how his voice shuddered when Jayce burrowed a hand under his shirt.
When their eyes met for a fraction of a second, the time seemed to freeze on it's tracks, and suddenly all there was in the world for Jayce was Viktor.
"I love you" the words slipped out of Jayce before any forewarning, and he watched as Viktor's eyes grew bigger and his pupils dilated.
"Jayce" Viktor whispered, pulling him into another kiss, this time much sweeter and slower, softer "Jayce- My Jayce- Jayce, I love you too-" Viktor gasped between each meeting of their lips, fluttering his eyes, fingers tightening in Jayce's hair possessively.
Jayce's pants were getting too tight, and Viktor's hand between his legs wasn't helping. Begrudgingly Jayce sat up and started to meddle with his buttons, and when he looked back, Viktor wasn't on his back anymore - he was on all fours, head leaned down on the pillows, arching his back to raise his ass up to Jayce. His hips were swaying, his tail was moving from left to right.
"Have me," Viktor whined, face flushed redder than the color of Jayce's tie, teeth biting onto his lower lip. He sounded like he was about to cry. How was Jayce supposed to ever deny him anything when he asked like that? He all but tore his pants down to his knees, freeing his erection that was leaking so much it was a miracle Jayce wasn't empty already.
Jayce grabbed Viktor by his hips, tugging down his trousers as well, leaning over him and placing a hand over his knuckles. He paused to give Viktor a glance.
"Are you sure you want this? We can stop at any time." Jayce asked, very convinced that the answer was gonna be yes, but unable to stop himself for making sure one last time. Viktor sobbed softly, nodding his head.
"I want, I want" he he panted, fingers tightening around Jayce's own. Jayce nodded, sucking two of his fingers in his mouth so they were coated in his spit, before pushing them inside Viktor. The moan that left Viktor was so lewd and animalistic that Jayce almost came then and there.
"We'll take it slow." he promised, but Viktor shook his head.
"No, can't wait that long. Please Jayce just skip the prep-preparation and fuck me." The man heaved out between his lustful breaths. Jayce felt the wave of burning pleasure rush through him. Okay, if it was what Viktor wished for...
Jayce took his dick in hand and, after giving Viktor a short moment to back out, started to slowly press into the other man. His tip popped inside, and he stopped to take a moment to adjust, even thought Viktor made it very hard; pushing closer to Jayce, grinding against him to get him deeper. If he didn't stop, Jayce was gonna explode and this would be over so fast that neither of them would be satisfied with it.
In an attempt to prevent that, Jayce did the first thing that came to his mind, and took a strong hold of Viktor's tail and pulled. Viktor let out a surprised scream, jumping, the fur of his tail standing up suddenly.
Jayce opened his mouth to apologize, before something caught his eyes. Viktor's eyes were hooded, his lips apart, a trail of drool leaking out. He was panting heavily, legs shaking. Jayce blinked.
"... You like that?" he asked, almost amused, and gave the tail another experimental, small yank. Viktor jerked with the movement, gasping, but the expression of pure euphoria on his face gave away just how good that apparently felt. Huh.
Jayce wasn't one for hurting people, let alone the ones he actually cared about, but something in is abdomen churned warmly when he watched Viktor's flustered face and dilated pupils.
"Oh, I see." he laughed awkwardly, and Viktor turned his head enough to give him a warning glare. Jayce only smiled. He placed his hand on Viktor's hip, still keeping a firm grip of his tail with his other hand, and instead of pushing his own rock hard erection inside, he pulled Viktor deeper around it. Viktor let out another sound that was something between scream and moan, and twitched his hips back and fort, urging Jayce to go on. And Jayce found that he was absolutely unable to refuse Viktor what he wanted.
He wasn't even sure he was in control of his own body when he started rocking his hips against Viktor's ass, tugging the tail and pressing his fingers on his skin so hard he knew it was gonna bruise. Viktor let out gasps and mewls and moans, allowing Jayce to manhandle and fuck him with growing speed.
Jayce felt the pressure inside him building up, too much to ignore much longer.
"V-viktor... I'm close, where-"
"Inside, breed me, make me yours Jayce I want you to fill me up." Viktor groaned, whole body shaking. That did it. Jayce gasped, leaning forward to press his forehead on Viktor's neck, bucking into his heat until he felt the pressure inside him snap.
He could feel the soft, velvet walls around him tighten and loosen again in a rhythmic pace, as he released load after load inside Viktor. He wasn't sure how much he came, but when the tingling sensation had disappeared and all that was left was exhaustion, he felt like there was nothing left in him to spill.
Jayce pulled out, sitting on his knees, watching Viktor's ass leaking out a stream of white. Viktor was shaking, drawing in shallow, fast breaths of air. One of his hands was clasped around his own dick, pumping it desperately. Looking at him through his own haze of a release, Jayce felt a breeze of shame blow through him. He should've paid more attention to Viktor, not just his own pleasure.
He climbed back over his partner, gently taking him by the wrist, and pulling his hand away.
"Let me" he murmured softly, leaving small pecks on Viktor's neck, making him shudder quietly. Jayce closed Viktor's throbbing erection inside his grip, squeezing testingly, and gained an approving moan from the other man.
It was easier not to let his own feelings overstep his self-control now that the post-nut clarity was crawling in, but Jayce was still surprised to find that even being close to Viktor made him feel like he was walking on clouds. He felt light and soft and kind of high, and he knew it was because of Viktor, because he loved Viktor and wanted to be close to him.
And Viktor felt the same. Jayce could see it in the light in his eyes, hear it in his voice and feel it in the gentle yet firm sensation of his touch.
"I love you, Vik." he whispered, and Viktor sucked in a shuddering breath, crooking his back. It only took a couple of strong strokes after that to make Viktor come. He suddenly tensed up under Jayce, crying out softly and shaking all over, and Jayce guided him through it, holding him and pressing small kisses on his hair.
When it started to seem that the pleasure was beginning to turn into over stimulation, Jayce let go of the other man and flopped down next to him, trying to catch his gaze. Viktor's eyes had been shut close, but as if sensing Jayce's stare on him, he cracked them open a sliver. Jayce smiled at him, touching his cheek with the back of his hand.
At first Viktor didn't react, watching him with hazed, glossy eyes, a quiet purr filling the room, but soon Jayce saw his eyes widen with realization, and the color on his face turned several shades deeper, as the zaunite opened his mouth.
"I-I... I, um... I don't know what came over me, I-" he stuttered, embarrassment evident on his face. It was clear from just that alone that Viktor hadn't really been in the most clear state of mind, and Jayce felt a small beat of worry in his chest. He really hoped that neither of them hadn't ended up doing something they'd regret.
"Hey," he consoled Viktor with tender voice "It's alright, nothing to worry about. Are you okay?"
Viktor nodded, looking away, sucking his lip nervously. Jayce could tell that the other man was already starting to second guess the whole thing, and before he might shut down or feel like he had done something stupid, Jayce leaned in and gave him a deep, slow kiss. When he pulled away, he pressed his forehead on Viktor's, snuggling him tenderly.
"I really do love you." he confessed, surprising Viktor away from his insecure thoughts, catching even himself off guard in the process a little. Yet now when he said it out loud without the blissful fog of arousal, he knew it was true. He had always loved Viktor, in one way or another, but loved him as strongly and solidly all the same.
Viktor watched him for a couple of second, as if he was waiting for Jayce to reveal a punchline for the joke, until he eventually started laughing, burying his face in the crook of Jayce's neck.
"I love you, too." he answered, the purring sound starting up again "My Jayce."
Jayce was sure that at this point his whole body was blushing, and he wrapped his arms around Viktor, pulling the blanket over their half-naked bodies and kissing his partner on his unruly hair.
"My Viktor."
Viktor shuddered at the words and threw his arms around Jayce's hips, humming into his skin. Jayce smiled, and watched as the tip of Viktor's tail gently moved back and forth. He could feel the smile growing on his face.
"So... You like that thing getting pulled, huh?" he couldn't help but tease a little. Viktor groaned, squirming a bit, and shrugged.
"... You know, we should probably look into the solution again. Perhaps once the tail is removed, I can fully recover from this whole cat state."
Jayce knew that Viktor had a point, but he couldn't help but pout a little.
"Aw, but it's kinda cute look on you, V."
Viktor rolled his eyes, but the purring continued without pause.
"Jayce... I swear to gods, if you don't stop teasing me, I will strangle you."
Maybe it was because Viktor already seemed to have let down his walls, or because Jayce was so desperately enamored with him, or because at this point he knew that they both wanted to be together, but the boyish grin remained on his face as he held Viktor by his chin, caressing his skin with his thumb.
"You wouldn't do that to your Jayce, would you?" Jayce cooed softly.
He found himself suffocating under the pillow Viktor pressed over his face.
