As he found a vacant parlor, he stepped in and leaned against its cushioned window alcove, absently leafing through a random book. His whole attention was tensely focused on the doorway. When had his puls ever pounded this breathlessly?
And then she entered the room, so serious and contained, with this shy smile on her lips that made his heart crumble.
She hesitated for a moment and looked into his eyes thoughtfully. Gently, she walked up to him, touched his cramped hands with her soft, warm fingers and whispered in a husky voice close to his ear: „Thank you, Severus.“
