It was almost embarrassing how much Touya dreamed of seeing a hint of life flicker through those eyes, something, just something to show that Akito was still in there, still somewhere locked deep into his heart, instead of really and truly gone, the cloth ripped into tatters by Touya’s verbal claws. Yet, he did nothing except turn and stare at the lights shining on the buildings near them, colors forming a riot in his face as he stared into them, perhaps hoping he would blind himself so as to never see Akito’s dull eyes again.
